Anyone else feel like this guy was the one responsible for the paint job? Awesome xj and beautiful paint. But dang, spent 30 seconds talking about under the hood. 20 of them were on how they painted under the hood. Haha. Loved it though. Keep up the good work.
As someone who's owned multiple XJs this level of craftsmanship has me obsessed! Also has me curious what would it take to bring these back to manufacture and make them on this engineering and capability level sold brand new!?!
Beautiful build 110% the only thing you should if added where cylinders to open the hood instead of the support rod that holds it open. But one awesome build. I had just purchased my first XJ. Usually own JK and one WJ.
This jeep is beautiful. I know it takes a ridiculous amount of time to restore one of these properly. I just put the final coat of primer on a 92 body after 4 months of working every day on all the little details and I still have a ridiculous amount of hours to put in on everything else. Do you guys replace all the factory seam sealer in the body or most of it? I've found a lot of rust under seam sealer on otherwise rust free low mile clean xj's I'm curious if you guys have run into the same thing, I'm talking about xj's that don't have a lick of rust anywhere and when you start removing seam sealer that looks perfect you find areas of rust. I've found this on multiple occasions over the years I'm just curious because you guys see a lot of nice cherokees.
I can't wait until my investments take off. My mom has an XJ that I want a ground up restoration. I have a lot of memories in that 4x4. I'm hoping next year.
Another beauty. You all are the best. I would love to know how you deal with the crimp on the bottom of all the doors. Unless this keep came from the southwest that area will have rust within the crimp. I am guessing chemical treatment. (Needs the heat blanket under the hood or the paint will crack over time)
No reply, weird eh? Every component is new and all new glass he says. What he means to say is windshield is new because it was cracked and almost everything that wasn't upgraded is OEM and hasn't been replaced. Patch panels welded in and rust converter sprayed inside each panel until it drips from the seams. Notice how they dont show the bottoms of the doors or rockers before they restore. These jeeps aren't sand or soda blasted and they are overpriced. You are getting about 25-30k worth of work. Sounds like a used car salesman turned restoration shop owner. The work does appear to be top notch, so props for that! If I could charge that much for a quick resto job I'd be retired. Great work, good niche market. Prices... not so fair
Wow. I am blown away. That amazing car quest battery. It must add extra horsepower. Like those amazing temu switches on the ashtray delete. And wow! All the same parts every xj has! That's amazing! Nobody has done it before! Lol. J/k nice paint work. But do spend more time talking underhood, what transfer case upgrades, bearing types, gears etc, brands, etc. That's where your price really comes into play. Did you guys plate unibody to beef it?
Hello.. I have a '99 XJ that has Death Wobble.. Would you have any info on how to fix DW..? I have replaced everything in the Steering System other than the Steering Box and Steering Shaft.. DW is Not Fun.. smh.. THANKS..
Put a video camera under there and replicate the death wobble. Sometimes you can see what's going on. Check track bar, drag link, tie rods, ball joints, control arms, and wheel bearings for movement. Tires rarely cause death wobble. The track bar does like to wollow out the bottom bolt hole and cause excess movement. If all that is good then your jeep is haunted and needs an exorcism.
In my opinion that is one of the ugliest jeep body styles that they built. I am not talking about the work that was done. That is 100%. I have always hated that body style.
Probably has 10 gauge reinforcement on the unibody. I have the same rock sliders and you can buy them to fit with or without the reinforcement. So it's probably pretty rugged at this point
@@brianwills4398 First you know nothing about me. Second, Yes they are Mountain Goats BUT at the level of modifying for serious off road use, they aren't the one to use. It's a Uni Body and you need a Body on Frame Period
My 2001 XJ headed to you JD: right after that Lottery win🤣😂👍. Superb build ✌️
One of the best I’ve ever put my eyes on! You guys have special touch. I know where Togo when the time comes. Thanks for sharing .

Exactly what I was thinking, mofo proud of that paint job "look no tape lines" lmfao! Move on bro
Yup when he said "this paint job would be $25k at other shops" I turned off the video. No need to stroke your online ego , just be honest.
Absolutely love what this company does it’s truly amazing!

Yall need to start linking where you bought these items, you'd make money too!

have you checked if the trackbar bolt ovaled out the hole? Alignment? Tires balanced? ball joints?

So how much does something like this cost?
Paint jobs are definitely expensive, well a paint job done right anyway. I've seen paint jobs that cost upwards of $50,000.
สวยยยยยยยย
So how much did this go up for sale
Nice pavement princess.....
Do you have Hammer H1B.
It’s a beauty! Love those red wheels. The fuel economy would be terrible though :/
If it's regeared correctly it's probably not terrible
@@justjsse8917 it’s high in the air, heavy and has big wheels and tyres. That thing is going to be thirsty!
Has this been sold?
If we have to ask, we probably can’t afford it !! LOL
I’m just not sure how you can say. It’s a fully built jeep without upgraded axles to some 1tons .
As a 2x XJ owner this makes my mouth water
How much this thing go for
Damn I need to send my 92 in
best look XJ out there I bet ?
How much for a car like that please?
Stage 6? Playing a lot of video games are we?
😍👍
Name of Front bumper ?
Smittybilt

isa nice Jeep XJ .. but the red components they got to go
Once dogecoin hits a $1. I'm going to spend it all at your shop
I’m a holder too. Hope it does!!!!! Diamond 💎 hands
@@DavisAutoSports how much does it cost to put one like that if I have the jeep only you do all the work
I do wish for 60k you got better running gear. Very nice workmanship tho. You can tell where the money went.
I was thinking all that amazing work and has rubicon express lift?
with a untrussed dana 30 on 37s😂
Sweet xj but those wheels and speakers are too ghetto IMO.
lol lost me at "$25k for a paintjob like this"
great jeep but you can be honest.
25 grand for a paint job 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you're out of your f'n mind bro lol
Levels brother. There are shops where you will pay $30-40k
@@DavisAutoSports lol... you're silly.
Half the video is talking about the paint...lmfao.
Cause half the build time was paint lol. You won’t find a cherokee XJ with a better paint job

It's an XJ, it's VERY worth the build.
