Hey guys, you are truly amazing together! I'm from the Netherlands, and I once visited Texas, where I spent time on the beaches in Galveston and Corpus Christi. Such beautiful beaches, so peaceful-we don't have anything like that in the Netherlands. Keep it up! I really enjoy your vlogs because you share your stories and show us America.
Back in 76, my parents and my sisters and all of us. Went to Houston for the summer. We lived at a kiloway in a pop-up tent all summer long with no AC. When you don't have it, you don't feel it, you get used to it.
I grew up in Corpus Christi and the whole length of the beach was accessible. There were no bollards in the late 60's. The road from Corpus Christi to Padre Island was a two-lane road so on the weekends you could see plenty of traffic jams. The best fishing in the popular areas of the beach was the Bob Hall Pier. Surfers used to make money by paddling out to the end of the pier and getting paid to paddle baited hooks and heavy weights out a few hundred yards for shark fishing. Oh, and there were no hotels on the beach back then - just open beach. It was great!
I remember the beach like before the national seashore was there . My dad and me and a few of his friend fished the entire length of the island almost every weekend, some weekends when it was cold you might see another person it was wild and great back then
I was away for a few months, and today I got a notification for this video, and I must say WOW! I'm so happy for you guys, seen the channel has grown, and it has lots of views, I'm really happy things are working out. I still remember the Hulk Hogan Skullet Haircut video, that was a blast! All the best from Chile.
What a great channel. You two are super entertaining. I've been working my way thru your catalog since stumbling on this one. Glad to see there is lots to catch up on.
I live in Texas, and have never been on that particular beach. Thank you for sharing your experience. Glad to have you guys in Texas, hope you enjoy our state as much as I do. ~AB~
Try the Gulp Shrimp. They work amazing on trout and redfish in the surf. Also, when the tide is way out, you might move out to the second, or even third gut, to find the fish. At evening time, the fish will move up very shallow ( less than a foot in water). I've fished every bit of that beach. August, September and October are the best times for fishing down there. Also, those small fish are great to reuse as bait/cut bait.
Big fun! Keep up the great work and God bless! Love all burgers and the burgs in this show of yours look enticing! Also learned a lot about fuel options for capable generators and as one who has had to refuel during hurricane season in south Louisiana, propane appears to be the way to go. 👍🏻
Thank you for joining us again this week !! Propane seems to be great for backup use as it doesn’t gum up the carb and go bad in the tank . We will probably switching to propane permanently
@@CandEAdventures In our ExpeditionVehicle, we rely on photovoltaic. We also practice minimal use of electricity. . Keep the F-250 clean on the bottom side of the doors and lower part behind the super cab, they tend to rust there.Maybe sometime you can go camping in Goose Island state park by Rockport .They have campsites in the wooded area with big oak trees or another area by Aransas Bay on the water.
I went to college at Northern Illinois University. I used to do my spring breaks on Padre Island.. have a Lone Star for me and watch out for the rattlers in the dunes… (Really - one night after too many Pearl Lights, I stumbled when traversing some dunes between my condo and the party I just left… Staring down a rattler will sober you up pretty damn quick! My frat brothers swore that I levitated straight up and backwards above 8-10 feet feet back…)
The small Honda EU2200 will run our A/C for the canvas tent for 8 hours on a gallon of gas. It'd be nice to get a couple more hours out of it on one tank. It kind of sucks getting up to put another gallon in for a couple more hours of A/C you want before getting up but it's better than sweating all night. You can set it up with an auxiliary tank and get another 8 hours out of it if you really wanted that extra 8 hours.
I would recommend letting air out anytime you're going to be driving sand for more than a mile just for the simple fact it's better on your truck. Less vibration and wear on parts.
Happy to see your vids getting lots of views I know it's bee a struggle. We have been following you since Guam when we researched videos before we were stationed here. We have our own morningstar and have enjoyed island life. Hope you guys succeed in the youtube world!
I like seeing a video of big shell beach I lived in Flour bluff for 50yrs and I spent many days and nights camping and fishing there. I am old enough to remember when there were cabins all the way down to Mansfield channel.
Thanks for another great video, now i'm hungry. Any plans for a video of your process to of cleaning the truck from salt and adding your product underneath the truck. Not sure if it would be popular? However, I would be interested in seeing.

During the heat of the day or afternoon evening fish the guts live bait, soft plastics silver spoon's! Look for bait fish fish around those area's!! Best of luck !!
9:44 Chris got snubbed for the thumbnail. I believe in you man! You have what it takes to carry the thumbnail mantel solo. To hell with the algorithms.
New subscriber from here in San Antonio. Enjoying the channel. I love driving on the beach out there! Since y'all are in SOTX, you should consider doing something in the Hill Country.
I saw y'all leaving Sunday. I was at mile marker 50. I stayed for 5 nights. It was burning hot. It's really sad how much trash is on Texas beaches. I made a short video on my channel. My solar system saved the day and ran my A/C and fridge. Welcome to Texas.
You should really record an album!!! Great video! Oh and you can’t go wrong with Uncle Chris’s. I buy it at HEB and drag it back to Georgia every trip we take back to Texas. That and other only at HEB goodies.
New subscriber from South Texas, Thanks for sharing your awesome adventure at PINS, Man I have never seen anyone make burgers on a disk before wow 👍👍 they looked amazing What kind brand of grill is that you have? I like it
45 years ago we would truck ski with a water ski. I find it works best with a ski line about 200 ft long and tied as high as possible (roll bar) to help keep it from dragging. You cut into the surf you can get big air! 😎
Good to see a nice young couple that is down to earth. Enjoy the simple and wholesome things in life.
Elizabeth has such a positive attitude and seems willing to try anything. You both make a great team.

I have the same generator and I put a 6 gallon boat gas tank on it. But an adapter gas cap and it fits perfectly and runs all day.
