This is one of my fave CandE vids. So nice to see you enjoying your new surroundings. I love how you take good care of your furbaby Mona. Can't wait to see a rainbow trout catch, cook and eat vid. Your photography & editing skills are super! Great drone & underwater and e-biking filming. Thanks so much for taking us along on your day off. Hugs & high paw to Mona! 🤗❤️😘👍👍
Good evening Chris, Elizabeth & Mona ! You’re all very Blessed ! Spectacular location, hooking awesome moments & remembering past times & keeping the joys of the experience alive ! Mona is so lucky to have such loving parents & you’re both fortunate for her ! Don’t give up on that lure, just have to let the magic catch with your creation ! Keep the adventures loaded & keep smiling !
I grew up fishing trout in California and didn't really appreciate their beauty until your excellent photography and commentary in this episode. Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories from my kid-hood with my brother and dad.
Chris, Loosen up the bolts on the brake caliper (the ones that hold the brake to the frame, should be a 5mm bolt) see if you can gently tap the brakes in either direction to get the wheel to spin freely with no noise. If you can, strongly grip the brake lever clamping the brakes onto the brake rotor. While doing that tighten up the brake caliper bolts, and make sure they are firm. When finished tightening the caliper bolts, release the brake lever and see if it still free spins. If that doesn’t work, repeat the same steps above, but before holding down the brake lever, see if you can wedge a piece of paper between the brake pads and brake rotor, THEN hold down the lever and tighten. Both methods should essentially center the brake caliper around the brake rotor. If the brake pads are only rubbing at a specific portion of the brake rotor, it’s a bent rotor. This can easily be fixed using a crescent wrench. Find the area that is rubbing, attach a crescent wrench to that specific area and gently bend it the opposite side of the rub. Don’t bend it too much, this is a slow process. Helps to use a sharpie to mark on the brake rotor it’s self the specific section of the rub. Lastly, be careful not to touch the brake rotor with sweaty hands, the oil from your skin can and will weaken your brakes!! Good luck! EDIT: got to the end, yep that fork is bent changing the axle angle. No amount of tricks or crescent wrenching can fix that….maybe. Got a rubber mallet? 😂
I almost went after it with a hammer lol! I was gonna heat it up and bend it and then looked it up and I guess aluminum doesn’t like to bend without getting real weak. The bike company (kbo ) said they would send another fork.
Another great video. Make sure that you always keep your eyes on your e-bikes. I got it stolen in Austin, TX, and another one stolen in Guam. Of course I chained them but nevertheless stolen. There are lots of thieves who are craving for e-bikes. Even when I was riding it around in Austin, lots of people came and asked me questions about my e-bike as if they were dying to have it. And the police couldn't care less, 'cos from their point of view, it was just a petty theft that they didn't want to even spend their time for.
It’s def a worry here for us. We have chains and a lock run through them but know if a thief wants them they will get them. That’s sucks you had 2 taken. We currently are pretty remote but want to take them into town for a video. Will have to get some good locks for that , I’m not taking the logging chain with us for in town 😂
I hope your views are going up! This actually showed up on the front page of UA-cam. If you like wine you don't have to spend much. I recommend the vivino. Look for stuff in the high 3's and you'll get a good bottle. I always shoot for $15-$20 a bottle. I got tons of Ryobi stuff for the same dang reason! They also have deals where you buy batteries and get a tool free. They really get you locked in that way. This lake is amazing! Looks like a great day out!
We are definitely ignorant to all things wine except for muscadine wine 😂. Ryobi has its hooks in us as well. That’s awesome we showed up on your front page! A lot of people have told us we never show up so maybe it’s changing !!
New sub - as an Old Guy refugee of commiefornia, it's been nostalgic to see my old haunts such as Monterey, and now Arroyo Seco! I'll have to see if you made it to Santa Cruz(Where I escaped from). A sketchy yet beautiful place too. BZ!
Hi there, from Ouray, Colorado! This was really an awesome video! What a great way to spend your day off. I'm not a massive hunter or fisherman. But, when I do, I really just do it as I just enjoy being in the outdoors and don't really care if I get anything. You two highlighted how fun and relaxing it can be; even just a little catch and release (though, I usually fish for dinner that particular night). That is awesome that you brought some swimming gear! It is one of those conundrums for me....i am reasonably not comfortable in the water. But, I really love water activities. When I fly my boss to various locations around the country, I usually am either hiking or doing some finning in a local water source (the Great Lakes, oceans, or just local lakes) for miles and miles. My boss and his wife got tired of hearing my freezing stories on these swims, so they just got me a wet suit for my birthday; which is really awesome! This is all a throw off from when I'd kickboard for up to about 10k to get ready for the various selections or qualification courses; using similar muscles without having to pound the body with a ruck. Foo Fighters...woo hoo. So, a few months ago I had a chat with my boss about our schedule unpredictability. One of the points is I had Foo Fighter tickets for their L.A. performance last year as they had a trip scheduled to Orange County. And, the day before the trip, they canceled their plans 😞 I thought your previous video of arriving to this particular camp ground was awesome and had tons of great scenery. This one crushed that. Wow! Have a great weekend!
if you have a rear brake you could simply remove the front brake and disc all together. you just have to be a little more careful when you ride. another option is replace the front brake with an Avid BB7 cable disc brake. they have several adjustments not just 2 adjustments.
Where you guys at in this vid. Go check out the Quincy CA area if you have a chance so beautiful so many creeks rivers and lakes in that area. Awesome highlakes talk to locals and they direct you.
So I was thinking, yes that would be where the "smoke" smell is coming from. Anyway, any mountain bike store worth their salt should be able to square up your fork if it's bent. Also when you re-assemble the disc brake put a dab of copper grease behind the pad and on each of the bolts threads, and also give the face of the disc pads a good coating of grease. The copper grease is cheap and will keep those bolts from seizing and give you a few squeal free miles until everything works in. I'm really digging these E-Bikes and I think next year I'll try and find one with a decent motor with fat tires that I can stud for winter and a cart to tow behind, I can't wait!! Somewhere, in this mess of a house I have a reasonably decent Thompson Fly Tying Vice and some hackles and thread etc. I used to tie a lot but my eyes sting after an hour or two now, even with my reading glasses, so IF I can find it, and IF everything is still there, do you want me to mail it to you? It's easy (even I can do it) I think there's a DVD to teach the basics too. California (at least the gorgeous park and wilderness settings) suits you guys, this is the most relaxed I've seen you both since the Emo Video when you were still in Guam. One last thing, if California is like Southern Alpine Alberta, you may want to watch for Rattlers that may take a liking to a warm bit of asphalt, or lurking behind a rock just off the trail. The good news is they are rarely fatal, but it does hurt like hell and I can tell you that from experience. Poor Mona, having to wear booties until she gets used to the gravel, concrete, asphalt and whatever else they top your roads with down there, but she does like sitting pretty in her custom Mona Chariot-Buggy Trailer Thingy. Things are good here, feeling fine, just finishing some last minute accommodation shopping and booking for my big Week out in Vancouver and also over on Vancouver Island. We'll almost be neighbors!! Next year in late Summer I want to head over to Ottawa and Toronto. I have tons of friends I haven't seen in years in both places, and then the year after that I was thinking I might do a friendly check in on you guys for a couple of days before I find a ride south to L.A.. I'm so glad you guys took this gig, I know it's not perfect, but it's stable, it's stunning, you have access to some Amazing looking spots to enjoy mere minutes from the Camper! I think you might really get hooked on the area if today's outing was any indication, Sending much Love and a big ol' Sasquatch sized hug to you all!!! - Dave
We are for sure almost neighbors Dave ! Some copper grease would be great , anything to make the bike quieter . Another company may be sending us a bike with regen breaking that let’s you slow down without the breaks and we are looking forward to that being like stealth mode out in the woods. California is geographically beautiful but we can’t afford it for long lol. We heard Vancouver has a huge mountain lion population . Maybe we can see one there !
@@CandEAdventures Vancouver and area do indeed have a Mountain Lion issue as do many places in Alberta, and not just in the mountains. If you do decide to bound over the boarder let me know and I'll see if it's feasible for me to meet up with you guys, just a friendly reminder that while British Columbia is amazingly beautiful, the initials, B.C. are more associated to the term "Bring Cash" as Vancouver and the lower mainland is incredibly price to stay or live in. Regenerative breaking is an idea I thought was already incorporated in these bikes? However, I'm glad they will be adapting bikes with this feature! On a long decent you could boost your battery by as much as 10-15% I have read (Depending on the angle of decent and distance.). Please let me know how you like the smaller wheeled workhorse bike, as I've been looking at a similar bike for my use up here. I may have to tinker with it to make it operate like a dirtbike where I can use the throttle without pedalling, if my stump is sore or some other reason arises. I figured California was expensive but I thought it might work in your favours having a place with low overhead to be a base camp for you to go exploring on the e-bikes or you dual purpose Bike. Shame that some places are so restrictive to live in, this was not the intent when the USA and Canada were developed. Essentially homesteading was what opened our countries up, and these folks were dirt poor. Anyway, I should get my day on. Hope you guys have a wonderful day too, talk to you again soon!!
That was a great video! Really enjoyed watching the e-bike torture test and fishing the beautiful river. Good to see Mona getting to enjoy a cart ride It looks like she's having a great time! Looking forward to the next video! That front tire looks off center at the top compared to the head tube.
You’re not holding them to anything as a company they want to do the right thing by their customer and you not allowing them to do that send you whatever parts that needs to happen then you’re bragging about something that they can fix but you choose not to let them Know that’s not cool as a company you’re preventing them from making it right and if you’re not gonna let them fix it or whatever why did you even bring it up? Because if I am looking to buy a new bike, I’m not going to buy from that company because of a faulty problem and you know you’re not allowing them to do the right thing and that you know that’s not cool.
Kbo sent a new fork and made it right , we explain that the damage is from a shipping error and not their fault . We are in communication with them. We explain all of your many many questions and rude comments in the videos you post on .
I'm glad the algorithms popped you into my feed. Your fun to watch, hopefully this is a sign your channel is about to grow.
Thanks for watching ! We sure hope so!!
Chris, are those a special water running shoe? Are they just regular running shoes?
Dogs are just like humans. Vulnerable. I'm glad you take care of her. I'm sure you do.

Amazing shots! Your channel never disappoints! Catch n bbq 🐠 with alil kimchi base, next video😋 Love the e-bikes. Mona is looking good 👊🏽 😁🌺 cheers 🥂
We do have some kimchi base In the camper !!! Maybe on our next days off we can make that happen!🍻🙏🙏

Could’ve used a warning to put our shades on before that swim scene 🫣
It blew out the white balance on the drone lol. Had no idea I was that white
The video was excellent, well made in land, sea, and air.

I have PTSD from Sigua and Tinago falls hikes. Any time I see ropes on a trail now I die on the inside.
Seeing those ropes is a blessing and a curse . Nice to use but you know it’s getting ready to get real 🤣
