My Polaris xp 1000 2014, only shows low gear. Even if I go all the way back into high gear only shows low gear on screen. Sometimes it takes high gear, could this be my problem?
Yes I would say this is the issue. Does is just not show high on the display and still go into high gear or does it not show high gear AND not go into high gear?
@@GRmotors when it actually takes the high gear it an show on display it runs well. Most of the time lately it looks like only takes low gear even when I go all the way back. So let’s say it takes the high gear like 2 out of 10 times
@@GRmotors yes I’ll be for sure checking And someone also told me “ If it shifts fine as others mentioned, it is most likely the gear selector switch (#3). If the ECU thinks the trans is in low it will torque limit the power. “ So now I’ll be checking this 2 things. Thanks man
Can you explain more on what you meant yours would snap into high or low gear? Mines sometimes has trouble going into high. It shows it’s in gear then you throttle it and it’s as if it’s in neutral. Then you pull on the shifter a little more it will pop in. Don’t happen a lot. But today I went riding and was in low already driving and it’s as if it popped out of gear for a quick second and grinded for just a second then clicked back into gear. I’m wondering if my cable is starting to come out of adjustment. Haven’t had any issues with park or reverse. Any help would be appreciated!
Whats the part number for shift cable

Yeah that’s pretty much what was going on with mine! I would play with the adjustment and see if that helps
Literally the last worst ad jingle I’ve ever heard
