Beautiful!! that is exactly the look I want for my ISB! on the way to getting it done, just need the exhaust, the fender delete, the saddle and the rim! ;)
Hey Pal, I wanted to let you know that this video is the reason I am getting a Scout Bobber. After a couple dealerships told me that they can't put a wider rear, I was hesitant of buying one and starting to search for a Harley Vrod. To make story short, I Googled and your video showed up. Now I am subscriber to your channel and really enjoying all of your videos. Thank you for putting out great videos and again it is this particular video that I am now set on a Scout Bobber.
Thanks for the kind words. I had dealers tell me they couldn’t do several things, so I did it myself. I’ll be glad to answer any questions should you have any. Thanks for watching.
Did you ever consider putting may be a 180 or 200 rear tire on the rim? Or would it not fit? if I can ask or if you can tell me via this chat how much was it for the 240 rear wheel the tire and the front wheel
Great looking bike. I plan on doing a 180 in the rear with the fender delete. Any information on how you mounted the stock lights and the plate? I'm trying to keep the stock lights as well.
If you have the same seat, take a flat piece of metal, make a 90 degree bend on each end, drill a hole on both ends for the taillight screw, and two holes on top of the bracket to attach to the under side of the seat.
The rear tires is 240,,, what size of tire is the front??? Also can you please put a link on where to get all the components for your tire and wheel..... And your bike looks awesome👍
Just throw it on and ride. Check for clearance on the swingarm before doing so. No need to mess with the brakes. Make sure everything is torqued to spec.
Looks awesome I just got a indian scout bobber sixty and I want to put a 240 what's the one I need to get? Do I need to change the front as well? And what's your front suspension from I like it how is all black
Because the scout bobber sixty is a new model, RC Components may not have a rear wheel to match your front, so you may have to buy both. Keep in mind my front wheel is stock 16", some people put an 18 on the front to match the rear. I personally don't like that look. As far as my front suspension, I just have 32mm Bikers Choice shorty's on the forks. If you don't get the short ones, they'll look all bunched up like an accordion.
G'day from Australia. Gratitude for the great videos. For the past week, I have had zero luck finding a distributor of RC wheels. I have emailed RC components in the US, but have had no luck in getting a reply. I have a 2022 bobber. Any information would be appreciated. Cheers 👍
prince douglaz I just like the looks. The fender does protect you from the elements, but also your manhood should you slide off the seat. If I lived somewhere it rained all the time, I’d have a rear fender.
I definitely have a question. I am going to a 180 rear tire on a wheel I purchased from RC Components… the Patriot Eagle Eclipse wheel 16 x 5.5 specifically. The problem it seems is that there isn’t enough clearance between the inner wheel and the rotor to put the caliper back on the rotor. I am almost inclined to take the back pad off of the rotor to see if that better allows me to put the caliper back on the rotor. Then I would hope that I can re-install the back pad onto the wheel. Did you need to do anything similar to get your rotor back onto the caliper?
Looks beautiful Thank you for video I have a question If I put a Michelin commander III on front and Michelin commander II on the rear would that be “acceptable” ? Thanks
If you have the 240 tire on the rear, whether it’s the commander 2 or 3, you need to make sure it will fit in the swing arm. I use the Metzeler tire because they run slightly smaller. Other bobber owners have put different brand tires on the rear and have had rubbing issues.
excellent build , the bike look absolutely amazing, im on the path of the fitting a240 very soon.... mind me asking about the disc brake pls? i have found some aftermarket discs but not like the one you have . thanks .
Hello! I love your bike and very soon I will build one like yours ... well almost. Would you like to share the link for the 240 conversion, because I didn't find anything ... and the rear tire too? Thanks for the video
The wheel and tire came from RC Components, roughly $2400. They use the Metzeler 888 tire because other tires may not fit. Also check out my other videos. I have a very detailed install video of the entire process which will be very helpful. Thanks for viewing.
Man that bike is sick! Nice work! Im thinking of doing a very similar build real soon. Just curious what all of ran you once done?! I know the wheel kit is about $2,400 does that include the rear tire?
I've read through all the comments and see you bought an 18" rim for the rear from RC Components and used your 16" stock rim for the front. Is the width on the rear rim 5 5"?
Hey bud! Your videos have inspired me to build one, question how the real feel on these tyres? Compared to what you've earlier... Do your think it's worth the investment?
A lot of people ask me about the handling with these tires. Being wider, requires you to put a little more effort into cornering, but it's minimal. I can't speak on handling in the rain, because I don't ride in the rain. Keep in mind that there is a lot of curvature in the 240 rear tire, so there is still plenty of grip when dry cornering. As far as the looks, it's a no brainer. I get paid compliments on my bike everywhere I go, and being a gear head, I'll talk your ear off. All in all, worth the investment.
@@oxouk Thank you for the response. I found a 2015 Scout Sixty for a pretty good price.. Always wanted to build a bobber, do you think it would be a good platform. I tried searching online to see if there is a difference in the frame of the bobber vs sixty.. couldn't find anything at all..

I didn’t have to do anything, however, it is very tight and it takes some time to find that sweet spot before it will go on.
Is there a lot that does not include the bigger fender online I can only find one with a larger fender for the 240mm tire
In order to add that size rear tire, do you need to remove the passenger seat in order to have that size or a rear tire?
Yes, because you have to remove the rear subframe which would hold the weight of a passenger.

Still handles really good. Just requires a little more input while turning. After a few miles of some twisty turns you adapt to the change.
