I was in between buying either a new ‘24 model TenPoint Viper S415 or the R10X, and decided on the TenPoint Viper S415. It arrived at the house Sat, two days ago, and lo and behold the lower RH side limb was delaminated about midways down the limb…to say I was pissed is an understatement. Can’t confirm but bow may’ve been previously owned, returned, and right back out the door shipped my way…needless to say I won’t tolerate doing business like this with anyone, and it’s being picked up for return Wed. Fast forward to today and decided to go ahead and order the R10X package and will be here on Wed as well…with some discounts, etc and rewards points, the R10X package tax and all is $1260 to my door. I haven’t read a lot, or just haven’t read deep enough or on the right sites, of delaminating or broken limb issues with the R10/R10X so maybe I’ll get lucky going this route. Do you have info regarding limb issues, is Ravin worth a damn warranty-wise if anything goes sideways, etc?
Thanks for the great video. I'm wondering if Ravin can produce a crossbow package that does not contain a scope but rather open sights. I would like to buy the r50x without a scope and use open sights on it. The rain and snow always has me trying to keep my scope dry while hunting which I can't stand. I would rather have open sights where I don't have to worry about rain and snow since I limit my shots to 50 yards and under and really don't need a scope.
The adjustable turret scope is really nice but why does Ravin only make tapes in 10 yard increments instead of tapes that are to the yard like HHA does? If they’re only in 10 yard increments then it’s no different than a scope that has them built into the reticle. That’s why I use an HHA Speed Dial on my 29x
With that price point on ravin it should be upgraded already
Make limbs that don’t delaminate and lighted nocks that actually turn off first! LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!
