Do the same carrying technique, but instead of swapping the colors, just continue with MC. your CC should get trapped between the first and second stitch of every rs row. Hope that helps! Get back to me if it doesn't make sense!
I know how to knit and have knitted a few items, but gravitate towards crocheting so I can donate throws or shawls. I have to say, I’ve been eyeing Arcade Fiber Works in Canada because of their gorgeous yarn, and this shawl may just be the kick in the pants to get me to order some of their yarn to make this. I don't see why not. 420 yds should enough, and it sounds gorgeous! do you mean because you will hold it double as the malabrigo silkpaca is a lace weight? should work just fine.
What is the purpose of not carrying on with the decreases on every row that has an increase? Is it to keep the shawl from forming a pronounced asymmetrical or “boomerang” shape?
It helps the shape (keeping it a bit deeper) but also keeps the pattern repeat very simple 12 rows. If you put in decreases then the repeat would be much longer. Hope that makes sense.
