How to fix a noisy tumble drier | rumbling tumble drier

- In this video I repair a Beko tumble drier, which became noisy all of a sudden and started making a rumbling noise. The tumble drier was also vibrating! This is not an easy fix, as it can be difficult creating enough room to get the guide wheel into position. The tumble drier guide wheels cost roughly £10 each.
It’s another rainy day here in Darwen, the fallen tree has gone, and my other garage is nearly completed, hopefully I’ll be able to make videos on a more regular basis soon!

Hey I wanted to say thank you so much for your time and knowledge and helping everyone out by sharing it with us it makes a difference sir !. I watched a lot of your videos. Saved me a lot of money on the easy stuff. As for electric and plumbing that…….I hire it done.

Hi Chez glad to hear your tree woes are getting to the right end now :D it doesn't impact the video but the audio is a bit out of sync the back half of the vid, just an fyi :)
Yes, I forgot to mention the audio. I had several files selected on my SD card, which I transferred to my editing computer, so I hit delete, but instead of deleting the highlighted files, it deleted everything on the SD card 😱
I had to use some software to recover the files from the SD card, but the audio was no longer in synch.
I have used the same SD card for over ten years, and some of the footage that was recovered from the SD card, was almost ten years old (but only fragmented bits of video)

Any Beko appliance can be quickly fixed with a trip to a recycling centre.

Would there be any possibility of drilling a hole in the back of the machine to gain access to the back of the wheel bolt? Maybe then it would just be a case of unbolting the wheel? Less faffing and harder to cause personal harm / damage to other plastic components?
No, the drum support rollers are at the front of the machine.
That reminds me of a guy that I know though- he phoned the local appliance repair shop for a price to replace a washing machine bearing (big job), he was quoted £80
He thought that was expensive, so cut some of the rear panel away using his angle grinder, the then realised that he still could not get the bearing out, and ended up taking it to the shop anyway- I hope they charged £100 😂

Um were you just lucky to strip out side you replaced the roller on or could you tell by where noise was coming from, Somerset mike.

It was hard, I always try and show how difficult a job is during the video. I could of course have edited a lot out and showed the roller being replaced easily- but real world videos are better IMHO

Yes, they are a real PITA. I often work on difficult to maintain machines! These rollers could be designed, so that they could be replaced much easier and faster- but I guess they make everything to be cheap- rather than easy to fix.

I think if my dryer was ten years old id buy a new one. Its no wonder its broke some woman has been kissing the front of it. You did a good job repairing it but at ten years old its time for a new one. They're not expensive.
Yeah, I repaired this and gave it to a mate, I then bought a heat pump dryer which is A++ rated. I’m also using the dishwasher on the quick setting now- ironically my combined gas and electric bill has not gone down 🤔

After fixing this, I decided to get a new A++ rated one, it cost me £399, as opposed to £10 for the support roller 😂
