  • In this video, we give our first impressions on the Husqvarna 580BTS back pack blower...what we like and don't like about it so far after using it for the past few weeks. After this fall we will be doing the full review of the blower since I'm waiting to try it out during the leaf season. Sit back and enjoy the video as we talk about its greatest features or hopeful changes! #husqysquad
**Note: We do have the trigger handle mounted differently then what Husqvarna has it to try something out...but we did have it mounted correctly when we first started using it and didn't like it.

Ambro's Landscaping Inc. we run strictly red max 8500s but gave the 580bts a shot. Pretty much the same blower as you know husqvarna bought out redmax. Our only complaint was the handle so we switched the whole arm with a redmax one, not sure if it’ll work for yours since ours has the throttle control on the left side of the unit.

The filter is a really awesome thing. It's a big pleated one with a foam precleaner. I do property cleanups/fire prevention in a very arid dusty climate and it gunks up filters quick. My Echo 770 used a filter each 2-3mos. This blower's filter because of the huge surface area and placement barely needs checking... just one less thing to worry about.

Had mine a few months now and love it! Got used to the handle pretty quick, for long periods of use, just put on cruise and hold the tube. Now autumn has set in, it's really earning it's money. Stihl 😁 very impressed with it! To save on fuel, I use the 525BX for smaller work!, also a great blower!

Lithium Man I have one too it's so much better than the Stihl br600 or br700 it's more comfortable and better quality. I gotta try a red max/huskvarna but I hear they are very heavy.

Love the Husvarna 580 blowers they are best blowers for your buck. We sell them like hot cakes at work. You can get the hip mounted throttle controll it will always be on and you just have to push a button to kill motor. Instead of having to worry about if it's on. For the price isn't bad for the biggest back pack blower on market.
    Keep up the good work.

The maruyama is 1018 cfm and the husqvarna is 908 cfm. The husqvarna is $549.95 and maruyama is $599. So pretty close on price and cfm so someone should compare them. I get a 20% off fleet price with any husqvarna units. Anybody can get that so something else to think about to save 20% anytime on husqvarna.

I just completely disassembled my redmax 8500 to do a piston rebuild kit on it so while I have it apart I'm going to custom paint is super glossy orange. I expect it to look something like the 580bts, only with the redmax character.

Great video. Very well put together. I switched from stihl in 2009 because the fuel caps kept leaking. From 2009 to 2017 I ran husqavarna 380, 570, 580s. In 2017 I purchased a br700 and did a 1 year demo on it because I was having issues with the weight at my large commercial properties, throttle cable breaking regularly and the knob/bolt that holds the handle on constantly coming lose (even with red locktight applied) so last fall I purchased 6 BR700 and we moved our 570 and 580 to our landscape divisions.

The trigger handle is adjustable if you dont like it up right like that. You can bring it in closer to the tube. I have two of these units and have the trigger handle set up both ways. All personal preference, the comfort is where it is at one these units, they have been around for a long time now and stihl just released chest and waist belts on the 800.. took long enough lol
