The cheaper cars aren't worth bothering with, even stuff up to 5k is hard work, the prep costs are so high and the customer demands are ridiculous too. It's funny, the last three cars I have bought for around £1000 have been stuffed but they all lasted at least a year (then scrapped) - for a £1000 if a car lasts at least a year that is a great result in my eyes.

No they don't. We just won't pay 995 quid for an 500 quid car that has a blown head gasket and needs the head rebuilt at the least... 😂 too many blow it up and think they can list it for a grand and say "not much wrong just won't start" thinking you'll never notice.. 😂
I stoped selling cars as people wanted a used car to be like a new car the cheaper they were the worse the customer was, making like new made no profit at all so gave up

Forgot people who say AA inspection, they think it's free, it's not, maybe 200 quid, exclusions as well, age, mileage. Problem with cheapies now is they're 600 quid out of the door at the auction, then repairs, then your Facebook wallah won't pay more than 800 quid, I've made loads out of cheapies over the years but unfortunately selling price is low and all costs have gone up, back in the day auction indemnity was like 15 quid on a banger.

I reduced it and didn't make much. But felt was too much prep even though it wasn't and my time. Learnt from it though trying to find another now.
I would have thought, that the buyer just needs to watch the video on the car 'purchase to prep to sale' history to provide the reassurance on a £1000 car. Got to be a better bet than buying the same model £500 off scumtree
I sold a 2007 E-class for £780 on Gumtree, sold within a few minutes I listed all the faults no matter how minor and a week after selling it the guy rang asking for his money back He said I didn’t list any faults I still had the ad on my phone Next time I’d just increase the price to get away from these bargain basement “scammers”
Folk buying cars like that really need to get a grip,that looked a great car for the price,all he needs to do is watch your channel to realise the work you do,probably best he never bought it as he would probably have been back with the slightest thing,if I had been in the market for a run around thats the type of car I would happily have bought,now in the market for a car for my stepson who's 17 and started his lessons,got a 1.4 mini but insurance is the killer..keep up the grett vlogs mate 👍

Always happens, we don’t do them either. Attracts the type of person who has no shame and wants to rip others off, not worth it at all. Paint on that golf looks like it’s had a crash on left side on camera but never looks like real life does it.

Sounds about right they always look like that on video if someone hasn’t done a good job washing or polishing say the same to my brother 4/5 times a month when he’s picking up, they never turn out to have been touched😂

@@FlippinMotorsUK completely agree mate best they just go on fb market than us end up taking a loss, I usually direct people who want a cheap motor that way these days. Like you say shame because there’s a lot of genuine people out there but what can we do. BCA are con artists aren’t they, same as most of the bigger places. We’ve been using a small local auction for a while now and the only gripe we have is they don’t have enough cars for us (we do about 30 a month now, 10-12 of them salvage repaired in house)
I have a fabia 13 plate had a woman went underneath with her phone she was French said the car had rust I chased her even when she wanted it I put the mot on it even at 3k I didn't want the trouble
I've been in the game for years and no one has ever gone thu with an AA inspection, just say it's more than welcome, then forget them. Cheapie people can be a pain but at least it's probably gone where dearer people will live with you for mths, tbh I find you can make a cheapie dear but a late cars got to be cheap before they'll buy from you,if you get what I mean, I've sometimes had to absolutely give a late car away, maybe lost, did that on a 19 plate the other mth, 4 adverts and lost 500,lost 700 on a 66 plate mokka the other day, autotrader said 6k,no chance actually ended up with 3800(!),wbac said 3300,so I actually got out of it, I paid about 4 and a half.
@@FlippinMotorsUK tbh bud, most cars are trouble, best market is probably buy at late teens and sell at 2995, very cheap and your dealing with people who think you can still buy a t and t car for 295,any dearer and it's a whole different game, max I can get comfortably is say 3995.i do go dearer but it's a struggle.
No one understands the hassle of selling cars , for any price range .. Dont why I have been in the trade for so long .. causes a lot of stress and aggravation .. Back in the day , well about 20 plus years ago , used to buy cars out of auction for £20 ,£50 , £120 .. £180 etc , buy 5 a week , sell quick and repeat ! Nowadays in indemnity is £200 On a £ 300 car … Bought 2006 fiesta 1.25 Zetec 63 k miles for £500 all in . 4 months mot , no sensible interest at all for 2 months . Just last price I come now or will you take £800/£600/£400 etc etc . Got it motd and advertised for a £1000 and sold it 2 weeks later for £970 .. Bout maybe £400 profit over 2.5 months . Waste of time .. Every man and his dog wants to sell cars ! 80% of cars I sell I get offers from wannabe car dealers , who want to buy for what I paid for and sell for more than I am asking for!

£950 - AA Inspection 🤣 I just bought a car for £1350 and didn't even bother HPI checking it (I wouldn't advise doing that however).
