She’s the kid who’s constantly dropping comments about how hard their life is because their parents sometimes give their younger sibling more attention and thinks it makes them special and assumes that this ‘specialness’ makes her an interesting and funny person
Amy Schumer should’ve realized that her being at the Oscars WAS the joke. All she had to do was stand up when they said her name and everyone would’ve found it hilarious they let her in
I think she has this sort of opportunity right now because despite the majority of us hating her, she’s convinced Hollywood that it’s just sexist alt-right pigs trying to bring another woman down. I’m pretty liberal, and I despise this woman’s comedy and desire for attention. Reminds me of when Lena Dunham got salty that Odell Beckham didn’t want to sleep with her or look at her or something like that which was weird because that came out of nowhere.
Interesting, but both her and the rest of the world are the butt of that joke, so who is the mysterious third party that's playing the joke on us? MonkaS
It's the Oscar's. They couldn't give less of a shit if they decided James Corden and Amy Schumer were the hosts. They're out of touch and don't care what the audience thinks, it's blatantly obvious with how bad if a dumpsterfire this show was
I really enjoyed the first season of Only Murders in the Building, but Amy Schumer is in the second season. My mom and I like to watch shows at the same time and then talk about them together. After watching the second episode of Only Murders in the Building Season 2, I told my mom that I just don't like Amy Schumer very much. My mom - who thought Big Bang Theory was funny and watched all 12 seasons religiously - said "Yeah, she's just not very funny, is she?"
No same bruh. I cried out in angst when I saw her get on the elevator. My dad and I are watching it and I had to explain to my dad why she single handed ruined the show. Not really lol but it did put a downer on it for me.
I really dislike how Amy Shumer presents herself as a progressor for women in the entertainment industry when there are so many unrecognized female comedians out there who have such original, hilarious, and carefully crafted jokes that Schumer won't hesitate to steal from. I know some people use Amy Schumer's behavior as a way to generalize women as "not funny," so I'm really glad more people are holding her accountable for solely her actions rather than integrating them with numerous female entertainers out there who put a lot of effort and dedication into their work.
This comment should be at the top. She really does do a disservice to all women in general, not just comedians. But yeah, she does give a horrible name to female comedians. She sucks.
I'm always impressed with Amy Schumer's ability to steal hilarious jokes and uniquely butcher the set up and punchline every time. Being that bad and still in work is truly original.
In an ideal universe Amy Schumer would’ve joked about stealing jokes, shrug it off and then tell Chris rock’s joke again just to see what will smith would’ve done.
Honestly her "joke" at the oscars when she called Kirsten Dunst (effectively) a place-holder was really nasty, and I think we would all agree that seeing Jesse Plemons slap the shit out of Amy Schumer would have been an absolute treat.
Yea, I liked that afterwards Amy clarified that Kirsten was in on the joke, like that would make us all go, ahh I see and then belly laugh... Like it just wasn't good.
When I still lived with my biological parents I remember being forced to watch Any Schumer, laughed at any other joke that wasn't hers because hearing hers made me forget what comedy was
People don’t see women as “unfunny” because of Amy Schumer. People see women as “unfunny” because they’re moronic enough to categorize female comedians as a whole lol
@@lightningpenguin8937 I think the joke being at the expense of those involved in the actual incident or the shock value of it makes it sound like she’s just exploiting (mocking? Idk if it meets the definition but I think it’s similar) the tragedy. Others may disagree, but that’s how I see it. I also think Will Smith was clearly in the wrong and slapping is assault, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Poking is assault; there are different levels of assault, and slapping usually isn’t one of the more extreme (worse than poking usually since it’d usually hurt, but still not very extreme). Nobody was seriously hurt by it, and Chris Rock recovered very quickly and continued on. Slapping over a relatively harmless (I think it was arguably a bit offensive but that’s irrelevant here) joke is bad and assault, but some people responded like Will did actually shoot someone, or at least threw a punch (some even lied and said it was actually a punch). So my stance is also that Will was in the wrong, but joking about someone dying is usually way worse imo.

Britain has James Cordon
America has Amy
Another thing that connects us is that nobody likes burger king
Amy is that person in your class who thinks they have “crackhead energy” and tries to become funny but fails miserably
And then proceeds to get mad at people and pull the victim card when they don’t agree
She’s the kid who’s constantly dropping comments about how hard their life is because their parents sometimes give their younger sibling more attention and thinks it makes them special and assumes that this ‘specialness’ makes her an interesting and funny person
That describes me in highschool really accurately

I really don’t understand who decided that she’s even remotely funny enough to keep getting gigs like this. It feels like a practical joke
They're out of touch and don't care what the audience thinks, it's blatantly obvious with how bad if a dumpsterfire this show was
I'm pretty sure being related to a NY senator has nothing to do with it
one that is far more entertaining than her own jokes
I really enjoyed the first season of Only Murders in the Building, but Amy Schumer is in the second season. My mom and I like to watch shows at the same time and then talk about them together. After watching the second episode of Only Murders in the Building Season 2, I told my mom that I just don't like Amy Schumer very much. My mom - who thought Big Bang Theory was funny and watched all 12 seasons religiously - said "Yeah, she's just not very funny, is she?"
Big bang theory is aight tho
No same bruh. I cried out in angst when I saw her get on the elevator. My dad and I are watching it and I had to explain to my dad why she single handed ruined the show. Not really lol but it did put a downer on it for me.
You could say she faced no new restrictions because nothing she could say would be remotely funny enough to count as a joke.
Fact:
When she joked about "Don't Look Up The Review" in Oscar, she was actually stealing from someone's tweet which already tweeted few months ago
Several of her jokes were stolen from others on Twitter, nearly word for word

I really dislike how Amy Shumer presents herself as a progressor for women in the entertainment industry when there are so many unrecognized female comedians out there who have such original, hilarious, and carefully crafted jokes that Schumer won't hesitate to steal from. I know some people use Amy Schumer's behavior as a way to generalize women as "not funny," so I'm really glad more people are holding her accountable for solely her actions rather than integrating them with numerous female entertainers out there who put a lot of effort and dedication into their work.
female comedians? those don't exist lol. let's see if you can give some examples

I laughed more at Charlie more times than I’ve ever laughed at Amy when I was 2 minutes into the video
In an ideal universe Amy Schumer would’ve joked about stealing jokes, shrug it off and then tell Chris rock’s joke again just to see what will smith would’ve done.
You mean a universe where Amy Schumer had even a hint of talent
You're a genius.
This would have been actually hilarious, which makes it even more implausible even in an ideal world, to be coming from Schumer.
That would be great
Lmao this would have been good !!
Honestly her "joke" at the oscars when she called Kirsten Dunst (effectively) a place-holder was really nasty, and I think we would all agree that seeing Jesse Plemons slap the shit out of Amy Schumer would have been an absolute treat.
Now Jesse Plemons would be in Jail right now for assault and battery. No way they would allow him to walk off cuff free.
No we would not all agree 😆 but Idk who the fuck invited her to the Oscars. Like that ceremony can become any more of a joke.
Yea, I liked that afterwards Amy clarified that Kirsten was in on the joke, like that would make us all go, ahh I see and then belly laugh... Like it just wasn't good.

Amy Schumer is the reason people see women as unfunny and I fully blame her for that rhetoric. Women deserve better funny representation.

Hot take: a man slapping another man after he made a joke about his wife is not as bad as joking about an incident where a person actually died
It depends on the intent of the joke, but if it's malicious then I agree.
@@lightningpenguin8937 agreed, in the case of Amy Schumer I think it’s worse
@@SirFratt I agree. It was for a cheap laugh, and could even bother to get it right.
I think physical violence is always worse than any words, except in very few circumstances. But since it's Amy Schumer one can make an exception.
Will say that he didn’t even get kicked out or arrested if a non celebrity tried doing that they’d probably still be in jail 😂
Amber just constantly reminds us that "you know what, these enemies of mine, we actually do have something in common after all" which says alot
