Hi Ron, you've said that wisdom tooth extraction can be very harmful and that it should be avoided at all costs. I have an impact tooth at the bottom left of my mouth which is beginning to cause some gum irritation. What do you recommend I do about it? It's been fairly stable for a year or so but I could see it beginning to grow out and cause more issues. Would one extraction affect my profile? When I was about 10 I had one tooth extracted from behind my upper front teeth but I have not had any other extractions, would love to hear your thoughts.
depends on your situation, in some cases the wisdom teeth simply needs to go out. but try googling “molar upright with TADs”, thats a technique that could help prevent removal of wisdom teeth. with extractions its a shot in the dark, sometimes they cause significant profile harm other times its minimal
