Well I have Surgically assisted MSE. So I'm currently expanding right now. Also I got miniplates on lower arch to increase overjet through distalization. I did a bunch and bunch or research before even knowing about this video and i came to the same conclusions. Distraction just might be the best option.

Also Ron IMDO after finishing distraction you can start exercise right after. So it’s 10-12 days of turning after that you can resume any physical activity. 40 days later you get it surgically removed and recover for 4 days. After 6 weeks you can chew hard foods again. In order for IMDO to work you need upper jaw expansion first your upper molars must overlap your lower molars so you’ll need to expand your upper jaw 8-10 mm with MSE/SMARPE/DOME or Sarpe and have at least an 8mm overjet cause remember it also widens your mandible so if your upper jaw isn’t significantly wider than your lower at time of distraction you will end up in a Brodie bite.

Is there a list of IMDO providers? This seems like the best solution, no nerve damage, shorter surgery, etc, and widens. But it seems there are no providers in the US.

What about crowded teeth? My maxilla isnt smaller than mandible, they are both the same. If i get MSE than my maxilla is gonna be to big for my mandible. My only way would be extractions, but im scared of ruining my face

I had an overbite as a child so I had a herbst appliance to pull my mandible forward. Very fortunate in my case because I had no recession for the maxilla. Downside is my maxilla probably didn't grow as forward as it could have since a herbst appliance discourages forward maxillary growth.
its different with a child because the mandible can still grow at puberty
but if u dont treat it before puberty the overbite will "block" the growth of the mandible
I had a herbst appliance too. They’re very strange. It’s definitely better than extraction/retraction. But it does seem to prevent forward growth which sucks. At least my airway is fine.

I have a 100% overbite, therefore, when I line up my front teeth, none of my other teeth even touch. It's made my chin look too small for my face and my smile silly looking. Even if I were to get this appliance to make my bottom jaw bigger, I still would have the problem that my front teeth completely cover my bottom front teeth. The only thing I can think of would be to add huge implanted molars so my back teeth would touch when lined up. I've never met anyone with a mouth like mine. Any suggestions is appreciated.
I have the same condition, if I would place my top 4 incisors on the bottom 4 , no other teeth touch. I thought this was normal until I discovered about mewing few days ago...

Some people do say that mewing helped improve their overbite/deepbite but it can worsen the overbite too , so yeah.

it seems it is said that intrusion of the whole maxilla can aid in autorotation of thew mandible...? is this not correct, I am not sure. But if you an anterior open bite - and you intrude the upper posterior with tads that you will get the counterclockwise rotation of the mandible as the bite closes, correct? cases say this and also I have been told this. Do you info on this

Just learn how to mew, look it up, it helps by lowering your jaw and pushing the bottom part out, it takes some years to get that chizzled correct looking jaw structure

This happened to me. I used to have INCREDIBLE bone structure and tongue posture and then I got top 2 wisdom removed and both bottom wisdom removed when I was 19, and I’m 21 now and I have lost a depressing amount of volume in the lower half of my face and my tongue has also dropped to the bottom of my mouth. Extremely depressing. I also suffer from a classic 100% deepbite so mewing is a little difficult for me. My jaw has retruded back a disgusting amount as well as my chin and have really lost my cheekbones. I look aged. I’m honestly considering getting 4 implants 2 on top 2 on bottom to regrow my jaw.

if your overbite isn't that severe, will braces fix it?
Braces retract your teeth so no it will do the same as extractions and push your top teeth back (what happened to me)
If your overbite is not severe thats grear cause you can fix it, but not with braces, in my opinion people should only rely on braces to straighten teeth maybe in conjunction with some other treatment, but never as a way to fix issues, it messes up the face even if it looks like its fixing the problem

Your options are incomplete. Herbst Appliance can grow and fix an overbite even in adults.

@Rishi Monty Google Aajonus Vonderplanitz, eat completely raw diet predominantly consisting of raw meat. Get the toughest cuts you can and chew as much as possible, build up your tongue's strength and jaw muscles with chewing on tough raw meat.

If i relax my jaw then my maulers touch but my front teeth wont be making contact with eachother anymore even tho mewing while making my front teeth touch looks better than my maulers being the one making contact? What should i do? Keep forcing my mandible so my front teeth touch or let it be “normal” as in over bite and let my maulers make contact with eachother?
@@Dondon-wt5mw mewing wont fix an overbite, it will make your whole jaw come forward, but the overbite will stay, on the other hand, the underbite can be fixed with mewing. So if you want to fix an overbite you have to get something mentioned in the video. As for just mewing, you should keep as many teeth in contact (very light contact) as possible, preferably your molars and go from there.

Is Mike Mew an Oral maxillofacial surgeon? No so he has no authority to speak on that.
there is another option you didn't talk about, it's called carriere motion appliance. what it does is it pushes the maxilla backwards to match the lower jaw but without extractions. that would be a great option for someone who has maxillary protrusion without necessarily a bad lower jaw.
Hi that’s what I have been advised for a 9mm over jet Damon system with no extractions to push and widen the top teeth back and bands to align my lower jaw slightly bring it forward in line

This guy has the wrong idea about bone development. Bone is not like rock just because it's hard and durable. Bone is living tissue that's still regenerated, and rock is completely inanimate. Even if mewing can't fix every skeletal malformation, it can still have a positive effect over time. Patience is key; any true biological reformation is gradual. I don't care how well intentioned this guy is: he's playing with fire by portraying artificial enhancements and external appliances as a false savior.
