Whereas bands that go on hiatus (The Black Crowes, ABBA, Radiohead), or stay together without any plans to make another record, generate excitement when a new album is in the works after so many years of being away from the studio. So agree with @COBBTIMUS_PRIME that, unless a band is irreparably damaged (Oasis), it's generally better for a band to leave their relationship open-ended.
If you really think about it, and aren't afraid to just glaze he could be considered the "Prince" of hip hop, the way he approaches recording and taking a very all-encompassing role in producing. Prince was known as a multi-instrumentalist and they're both extremely influential and provocative. I feel like with his take on the Punk/Hardcore attitude blended with real hip hop credentials he's more than just an artist or a producer to me, he's becoming a "symbol" himself.

I’ve never heard one jpeg mafia song I liked. It's funny that Anthony says that music is a lot tougher to make when you're struggling to pay the bills. Hip Hop and Punk was created by the impoverished. Hell, now that I think about it, jazz, blues, country, weren't genres created by Chet Hanks. Getting into music isn't like getting into Golf or Tennis, where the barrier to entry is high due to needing the environment and sports equipment.

Hes at the "top of the underground" position which sees little mainstream crossover towards bigger acts but enough attention and success to justify his place. Rappers in that space dont usually get in GOAT conversation because the arguments are skewed in favor of popularity & impact over body of work and consistency. His style is too experimental for average rap fans without a developed taste. So i suggest fans give him his flowers (& money) now, because no legacy media ever will.

I’ve never heard one jpeg mafia song I liked. Now I’m not super versed on rap post 2010, with few expectations (Earl sweatshirt, Odyssey, Danzel Curry & Vince Staples being some of my favs)… but it feels like if they were truly in the GOAT conversation, then even a casual rap fan like myself would have at least been put on to one of their songs that I dug… idk - just my opinion.
