JPEG has proved over and over that he’s one of the greatest producers ever. And with this last project I already put him above MF DOOM. 🙌
The hypetrain is real
Hes at the "top of the underground" position which sees little mainstream crossover towards bigger acts but enough attention and success to justify his place. Rappers in that space dont usually get in GOAT conversation because the arguments are skewed in favor of popularity & impact over body of work and consistency. His style is too experimental for average rap fans without a developed taste. So i suggest fans give him his flowers (& money) now, because no legacy media ever will.
The perm looked great
WAKE UP
*Virtual hand grab into bro hug* thank you for reminding me I need to listen to brat
Rating an album within one week is absolutely too early. Sometimes it can take years for a record to fully grow into what it was meant to be. Both from a personal experience and from a public perspective, review things when they release but also allow time for it t- WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UPWAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UPWAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UPWAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP
As a fan, you can review as time goes on. As for a reviewer, that wouldn’t make much sense
Ya he should only review albums 2 years after they came out
Peggy is really good, don’t get me wrong. But melon, what about Denzel Curry? Is he not approaching GOAT status? All he needs is one perfect album and he’s there
why does everyone want melon to wake up
Coz he's sleepin
THE SIMULATION IS ENDING HE MUST WAKE BEFORE IMPLOSION
His true purpose must be fulfilled before it's too late.
@ancientstraits9288 he needs to Wake Up and stop giving shitty takes on music, he gave MBDTF a 6
@@Radioface7779 Bro hasn't gotten over a score and an opinion that's years old.
Watching this from Guantanamo, thanks lemon
for the nest topic a fun one would be: are these rap legends overrated, underrated, perfectly rated or overhated. for example jay z, nas, prodigy, and some more legends
Peggy and Denzel worked on Vultures 2 btw
he might bump it to an 8 now
MELON. WAKE UP.
8:13 Thank you for saying this. Watching my local musician peers have the financial ability to do music full-time, promote themselves, and grow, it’s hard not to feel discouraged. Meanwhile others and myself can’t even find the time to write or meet up and practice. Life feels like it entirely consists of work.
Our society absolutely has the means to allow its people more leisure time. Imagine the bloom in creativity and art and thought if people had the time to actually be human.
Peggy still underrated
Won't stop preaching till the radio ain't got a choice but to jam Jpeggy
Couldn't agree more with the title
MeatCanyon depicted you very well.
SNAP OUT OF IT, TONY, THEY'VE OPENED THE TASK MANAGER
7:44 What I love most about about Chappel Roan is the fact that she just WAKE UP MELON! WAKE UP MELON! WAKE UP!
Rise and shine mr melon
Good morning melon man
It's funny that Anthony says that music is a lot tougher to make when you're struggling to pay the bills. Hip Hop and Punk was created by the impoverished. Hell, now that I think about it, jazz, blues, country, weren't genres created by Chet Hanks. Getting into music isn't like getting into Golf or Tennis, where the barrier to entry is high due to needing the environment and sports equipment.
No no no. Dont go romanticizing an era you don't understand
You don't know how expensive it is to make an album or an ep. You realize those scenes you mentioned-none of those guys made a dime out of their work
@@unknown6390 there was mo romanticism in my post. Was hip hop created by the impoverished? Yes or no? Did I say they made a whole bunch of money creating the art form? Yes or no?
WAKE UP WATERMELON
in regards to the BRAT tweet, saramalcara made one of the most interesting pop albums of the year its not even funny. Changed the game entirely. I agree, BRAT isn't as good after the next few listens
Anthony, you have to wake up. It's almost time.
MELON WAKE UP
Antknee im scared wake up
Wtf Melanie you're right 😢 when the hell am I going to get some time to make music
*WAKE UP MELON*
