  • The inspiring tale of Shamgar, a lesser-known hero from the Bible who achieved extraordinary feats with nothing but determination and an ox goad. In less than ideal conditions, armed with less than ideal equipment, Shamgar's story showcases the incredible potential of an ordinary individual to accomplish the extraordinary. This is a true survival story. This narrative serves as a powerful reminder that the most crucial survival skill isn't just about the gear or knowledge but revolves around cultivating a positive mindset. With a "can-do" attitude, there are no limits to what we can achieve.
Discover the secrets of resilience, determination, and the transformative power of a positive outlook in our latest video. Let Shamgar's story inspire you to embrace challenges with confidence and seize every opportunity with unwavering optimism.

We have pit bulls that are sometimes running loose in our neighborhood. I took a 7 foot walking staff and put a 16 penny nail in the end of it and sharpened it. I guess it’s about what you’ve done just in case I’m attacked.😅

I remember back in my service days, whenever we had a challenge to figure out, we always put our heads together and found the solution. A lot of times, we came up with several solutions.

I use my hiking stick as a catapult to launch my rock bag over a tree limb to hang my food. Tie a loop in bear line that just fits over the pole end, 8 inches down is rock bag then rest of bear line. Swing the pole to launch rock bag over the tree limb, stop the swing just before straight up and loop will slip off the pole and catapult the rock bag. Gives more power and directional control.

You're a great educator of survival skills from a minimalist perspective (using what you have around by using the mind of imagination & creating something of solid functionality.👌 in addition to that you inspire positivity + wit in the face of a challenge 👌😊 I like your style & learn so much at the same time. THANK YOU, Jason ♥️🙏🇺🇸

As always, thanks for the pep talk! Almost my entire fam gave me THE hardest time when I applied for nursing school. Everyone tried to tell me it was going to be too difficult, etc. I REFUSED to listen to them and I was the first one with a college education and a career, not just a job. Don’t listen to the naysayers y’all, even if it’s your own parents!!

Good lesson. My recently discovered old shovel handle now has a new future coming...!! Also good is an old broom handle with a one inch hook screwed into the end as a truck bed retrieval tool. I'm too old to bother climbing in and out of my truck bed under the cap to go after items up front so the pole hook is great for pulling boxes, coolers, totes etc. to me with ease. Being older is good to be lazy but creative .. :) Thanks. Really enjoy your channel. Look forward to more especially on old tools.

Ummm, nice video. Agreed with multiple concepts. Positive Attitude is definitely the Number 1 survival skill/tool! And finding like minded people is a life skill that unfortunately takes time. But is necessary for groups to function and makes your life more fulfilling in my opinion! If you like what you do, work, really isn't work... it's life... it may be enjoyable! Especially with like minded people!

Very good. Love the message and you are so right about the attitude. But if I may pose a dilemma, my husband is a vet, lifelong farmer and country boy and now an engineer, and he takes this a bit differently... He says, why do I need to prepare, plan ahead, because he will just "figure it out" when it happens. "You can't worry about or prepare for every scenario, so i just know that if we need water, I'll figure it out. If we need to secure the farm, need to grow food without power, need to get home from far away, I'll just... Do it."
But my response to him is, he's only one person and there won't be enough hours in the day to "figure out" all the different problems at the same time. Not for all of us. That is why we need to prepare! To better our chances. I'd appreciate anyone's advice or suggestions on how to get through to him... We come up against this issue all the time.

Marcus Aurelius once said, "The impediment to action advances action." Whatever is in the way, becomes the way. Don't let things get in your way. Find a way through it to accomplish your goal.

I made a cane with the screw in the end. I am recovering from 2 Gall Bladder operations and 1 Inguinal Hernia operation. So I needed a cane when I go to the store and bank. I ground a point on it. But it looked too agressive. People would get upset if I showed up with it. So I screwed a cork over the sharp end. Now it is still ready for instant use, either defensive or offensive. Now the "Sheeples" won't call the police on me. I like being prepaired . Just in case there is a sticky situation . FYI

i totally agree with the attitude, making ppl live in fear is exactly what media has been doing ever since it has existed, before that it was churches etc who preached doom unless you do this or that or pay this amount for your sins to be forgiven.. however maybe even more annoying are channels that keep telling "this is worse than we knew/expected" or "this changed everything" (for worse) all the time.. imo it should be clear that unless ppl start doing something it´s gonna get really bad really fast so ppl should rather figure out their own shite n think of different scenarios than wait someone to tell them what/when/how to do or not to do.. esp when they clearly have this attitude "i know this better than yourself, this is the best tool/weapon/whatever, regardless of your skill or knowledge/experience". also several survive channels went totally nuts with parroting msm narratives lol.. your channel has stayed awesome with few others, cheers.

From my YT Handel you might understand my love of FMA. That said everyone should study some use of melee weapons as we do in Arnis/Kali/ecrima. It translates to canes , staff, machete, knife and of course empty hand. People need to be training with more than guns

Pushing yourself beyond what you THINK you can do is not always inherent with people even if you are naturally competitive. Things like team sports or USMC Boot camp are a good way to learn that you're capable of much more than you think. However you should use a little common sense in pushing yourself to the limit lest you end up in a hospital a few times.
Expedient weapons can be just as efficient as things that go bang for stopping predatory creatures with ill intent as long as you train diligently. Thanks for the video.
