You are an inspiration Dylan. Lacking a strong faith and connection with God left me empty. Alcohol was of no help. Getting my relationship back with God was the solution for me.
You are putting work in Dylan. Think about where you are now. You telling your story will help someone. You are dealing with the root of the issue and you see the impact on yourself. You realized what it cost you on many levels. When someone gets tired of the bad behavior, they will want to change. Keep putting the work in Dylan. Keep being the change you want to be. Someone is praying for you. Someone cares deeply for you.
I hear you Dylan. Quitting alcohol 3 years ago was the best thing I ever did. It’s not easy as you said. It does force you to look inward at yourself. And take responsibility.
I went cold-turkey from ALL alcohol AND smoking, 4/22/2022. My doctor did not believe me, my Pastor worked hard to get me to take proper communion (again) using wine, LOL! Very humbled, blessed and thankful.
I will be 52 next month (election day). You can count the times I have had alcohol on 1 hand and have never once drank to the excess. I have seen it ruin plenty of lives. I'm so glad you escaped. Keep escaping and face your pain. Forgive, never forget, be kind to others and move forward. Wishing you the best.
So glad about your year of sobriety. I want you to know this is so awesome and letting you know it's coming from an ex alcohol abuser and have been sober 29 years. I have a similar story as you an you should know that your faith in Jesus is the key keep looking up brother Love you 💙💙💙 Keep pushing forward. It's awesome to see our Heavenly Fathers creations with a clear sober mind. ❤ Love you sharing your life with us❤
I can relate I drank everyday over 20 years, drugs too. I woke up on 12 years ago and said no more, have been sober since, no rehab or anything just determination. Use to wake up with people I would never think about sleeping with and would be so irritated with myself, and that messed up relationships with the people I really wanted to be with. But now I'm very happy and very healthy.
Congratulations young man. I'm over 3 years sober for the first time since I was a teenager and I'm 52 now. Life is sooo much better and I'm in a better place. Never imagined in a million years life could be this way best damn decision I've ever made. Continue to do what you are doing because the sky is the limit and I have PEACE in my life finally!!!!
Dylan, Congratulations on 1 year of Sobriety!!!! I am SO happy for you!!! Not an easy thing to admit that you were an alcoholic!!! Most people use alcohol and/or drugs to cover up "something" in their lives!!!! I am SO excited for you!!! Bad memories or experiences are usually why so many drink and or use drugs to help them deal with things from their past!!!! You are unfortunately NOT alone! I honestly do not know how you were able to maintain a relationship with anyone, especially with yourself!!!!!! Just SO happy for you!!! You have the rest of your life to build you a new life!!! Do well with your new life!!! I am happy to hear that you were never having a wandering eye!!! And that you were a good boyfriend and husband when you were married!!!! Congratulations again!!!!
Dylan, I managed to have a conversation with my favorite country artist, Jason Aldean, yesterday on his new song on UA-cam. "Whiskey Drink". He told me he was happy I liked the song and that all he wants to do is express beauty in his music. That is exactly what he does. Have a good week.
Dylan, Congrats on a year of sobriety. It seems like you are learning a lot about yourself and discovering that you are a really good and nice guy. Alcohol and other drugs are the way a lot of young people choose to dampen the pain in their lives. You have learned not to stuff problems but to bring them out in the light and deal with them. I am so proud of you and wish for continued success. Bro, keep up the good work.................Peace.............Ray
Dylan - I'm very happy for you and really proud of you, young man❣Keep it up and you'll be living your best life. i really enjoy your videos. You're inspirational. You are so right. It's not easy,. So many men can look to you for guidance You are blessed and worthy. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Dylan. I have done my first performance in 10 .months on the piano tonight with The Seventh Day Adventist Church. I am baptised and raised Catholic. This is where my heart will always be. Our next performance is on December the 12th. I am trying to concentrate on more videos of myself performing piano at churches for UA-cam, and I hope to upload these once again by Christmas time. There are some beautiful churches here. The SDA concentrates a lot on church music from The South in the USA, of which I did play tonight. I have not seen you here for one month and I hope that you are OK.
Hi. I am 8 years sober. I was traumatized years ago and i started drinking to deal with the pain. So i was self medicating. I never want to go back to the misery. I have turned my life over to God. I am a believer , and the change in me has been miraculous. I identify with alot of what you are saying. Good on you. Your life will improve.
Dylan...Blessings to you, and you should be very proud of yourself for acknowledging self-love. You are dedicated enough to set goal(s) and you possess an ideal and deserve to achieve success(es) in your life that are important to you. Step by step and one day at a time. 💯🇺🇸👍
I heard Naltrexone monthly injections is helpful when recovering, it basically blocks the opioid receptors and you can’t get drunk which helps you from drinking.
I have been drug and alcohol free for over 10 years! I became so tired and the way I felt I woke up one morning and said this is enough and when cold turkey. Suggestion...... I found three good reads that are very beneficial to me.... Hard stuff easy Life by Jay Alderton...... Journey to the ecstatic self buy Kae Strouse ..... Peaceful mind peaceful Life by Dr Steven Davidson on UA-cam and also a gay psychologist in fort Lauderdale Florida❤
My story is so different from yours but still the same in a way. I'm 66 so...that tells you the main difference without going into years of history. I'm gay btw. I enjoy your vids
OK, after subscribing to your channel , I see you converted to Catholicism. That answers my question about the medal haha. Her intercession will always send U strength. WELCOME
I meant on the next video if possible. No stress, but I am sure all of your followers are wondering by now about your relationship status with one of your next video posts.💗
If you still want to see "No.28" by the artist Zahra Salarnia, she told me today that the film of her work can only be displayed until today. She is currently at an international film festival. I am on holiday. Take Care.
I guarantee the things your taking to your deathbed, there are 20 people in your comments who have done the same. I would say I’m probably one of them. I still get second hand embarrassment from things I did 25 years ago. Conversely I will get scared of things the only thing that save me is the grace of God. I get chills and this seconds of terror and it passes.
I am not on Instagram yet. This is the last video here right now so I am trying to do as many posts before the next one. I notice you remove comments immediately if I post weblinks. I can't be on Instagram yet, I am trying to recover footage and a great deal of information I have to travel out of Auckland for. Everyone has a "shelf life." I am being forced out of connections and I am trying to do this alone but for how long? I am photographing my own image this late on life for a social media platform and also connect with my only family, my older brother who I love. I will be on Instagram soon.
Congratulations on your sobriety . You are a gorgeous young man who has fought the good fight and won. Take it each day at a time. Is that the Miraculous Mother medal around your neck? If so, I wear the same one. She will always come to your aide and help if U have devotion to her. If I am mistaken, oh well, no biggie but if it is, look up the Memorare prayer and U will see what I mean, you may already know it. Keep up the good work and life is GOOD
