Trapcode Elements lets you create Waterbending, Earthbending, Firebending, and Airbending simulations in After Effects using Trapcode Particular V4.1.5 Fluids, inspired by Avatar The Last Airbender live-action movie. Element pack is great for; Fire/Fluids, Water/Liquids, Air/Volumetric Particles, and Earth/3D voxel-generated rock formations, simulated rigid body physics destruction.

The best part for me is the heat haze on the fire blasts! It is so realisitic!

These simulations are AWESOME!!! Al though, i would prefer for water ball not having any particles dripping , since the water ball doesn't seem to shrink in size...
I would also prefer fire to not have much black smoke, since smoke comes only when a fuel is burning improperly, a firebender's fire tends to be more like pure plasma, like a blowtorch or a gas stove or like a flash fire done by magicians ... Anyway this is my honest opinion and other than that it looks great 👍
Thanks for the creative feedback, I've tried to make it as customizable as possible. In fact, we did exactly what you said about removing the black smoke in the Agni Kai Firebending tutorial. So we adjusted the (Smoke Contrast) slider to make it look translucent and plasma-ree, just the fire. In the upcoming water tutorial, I'll definitely make a point of keyframing the water droplets or size of the water to reflect the loss in volume!
ya i always wondered about this,, in the show it didnt look so fkin drippy
must be hard for creaters to figure whats best to look like in real life,, especially since its all 3D :/ nothing seems to beat handdrawings :/,, but guess much cheaper in 3D?,, not even sure about lol that feel like cartoons will always feel better,, you get used to that UNIQUE STYLE EXTRemely hard to replicate,, and all human designs always comes with.... issues (just the fur to be realistic,, is cruel and unacceptable but when drawn its not so bad since its fake (and fake fur dont know if they feel real enuf,, plastic also so not very biodegradable,, they got to get those other plant matters (hemp asclepiad plants) finding the best ones

I just did the VFX and with a movie budget you could do allot more, but thats the thing... With the exception of Netflix, no one has that kind of budget. This way you could put all your money into costumes, set and props and know that the VFX are far more achievable and affordable.

@@CGVisualsVFX im using Threadripper 2950 64gb ram with 2 Radeon 7 16gb cards. Is there a faster way to do a setup instead of using proxy? A video on how to maximize your time using v1.1 would rock. Basically your work flow.
@@Digifx69 Yes, I bring the footage into the particles comp, track it, then I attach a placeholder red solid/ circle to the emitter null. Refine the animation until it looks smooth as there is no delay. Then just preview how the sim looks at half res, I usually go in and turn off motion blur. There are looks of options to tweak the compositing but a principle understanding of compositing and matching to a reference is still important in any project.
What did you use to make it? I am really impressed!
So everything you see in that video is After Effects and Trapcode Particular V4, including the rocks, you could make an entire Avatar fan film without ever leaving After Effects.

Having extra Ram and clearing you After Effects (Media & Disk Cache) helps. Also in the 4 part element tutorials, I address performance and how to work effectively so it's worth giving those a watch. ;)

I actually have three collaboration projects lined up over the next 6 months, not including the Korra teaser which is done but waiting to release, so it's going to be insane!
Will there be a tutorial on this one? Particularly for the flamethrowers because I'm having trouble knowing how to manipulate their emitters to match my footage.
Yep I'm working on some stuff, better documentation, but for the time being there are two sliders (tilt ip/down) and (tilt or aim left right). 3D track your footage and normalize your 3D space so that things dont spawn really far away, (theres a red giant tutorial on that) Position the emitter locator where you think it should be in 3D space. You could also pre-render custom flame thrower assets and bring them back into the particles comp so that your not waiting for a fluid sim to update when ever you tweak something.
@@CGVisualsVFX Thanks for the response! And by "3D track the footage" do you mean the emission point itself (the end of a flamethrower)? My main trouble is getting this emitter itself on the end of it and having the emitter follow the flamethrower. Glad to know that you're working on it!

Most of them are from Audio Jungle, it helps to use keywords like magic water, swoosh, swish ect

I’m a beginner and I tried following one of your other element tutorials and got stuck within the first minute or two 😭 I guess I need more practice with AE before I can make myself a bender

You want to do visual effects on your phone? Red Giant would need to release After Effects and Particular for phone and redesign the whole user interface!
