    Honestly the best videos in the topic! I just wonder for a home decor webshop as a design hevay topic would you run search ads next to shopping ads? If yes, would you run just general KV in the topic or you would make the whole product menu structure to search as well? (I also love to see videos in bidding strategies for search ads KV).

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Peter! Yes I would also run search ads, if you wanted to give this an initial test you could just focus on 3-5 of your best selling product categories.
      The advantage of search running alongside shopping is that with your search ads if you are getting Position #1 they will see your shopping & search ads together which can assist you in winning the click.
      Also search ads allows you to add some extra benefits and call to actions in the ad copy.
      All the best 👍🏻

When you already put together the ad groups with the selected items how do you manage if a new item appeared on the feed? Remember that you only pay the minimum amount required to win the auction, so if you have your bids set at $1 and it only costs you $0.57 you only pay $0.57 for that particular click.

    Question about the Ad Groups. If we have multiple variants for some of the items in the ad groups (In continuing with the Kid's Ad Group example, if we're selling Kid's jackets that come in Pink, Red, Blue, etc and size Small, Medium, Large, etc), would you recommend including all of those variants in the ad sets we create? Or just the top level item (i.e, a Red Jacket, and then listing out the variants in some way)?

    Aaron, Thank you for posting this video. This was perfect to nail down exactly what I was looking for. Just a quick question, I've made all the relevant ad groups based on my shop categories. Can I create an ad group that excludes all the other products like an 'everything else' ad group for any products not in the focused ad groups?

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds  2 роки тому

      Thanks Chris. To achieve that result you would have to:
      > Add the products or products groups to the new ad group
      > and then Exclude them
      This way you only have the remaining products.
      The other option is to add the other products which have not been added yet.
      I have done both options & it just depends on which is easier in that case dependant on the number of products.
      I hope that helps (& makes sense 😄)

    Hey Aaron, I love how straight forward your videos are! I just wanted to get your view on my situation. I am trying to figure out whether shopping or standard expert ads would be better for me. If I was to set up shopping ads from face value my product would look more expensive however I am cheaper then competitors as I offer free shipping and they do not. Would you still lean for shopping or go to search ads?
    Thanks, Isabella

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Isabella, thank & I am glad that you enjoy my videos! I would recommend that you run both a search & shopping campaign. As you are right that search gives you the extra ability to add in some additional selling points or points of difference between your products & your competitors products.
      In regards to your shopping campaign I would also be mindful of any particular products that are being marketed by competitors at a lower price as you may need to pause these products while this price cutting is happening.
      Also if you do have some good re-marketing audiences I have found that search & performance max campaigns (with your shopping feed) can also be a great combination and assist you with increasing your sales.
      All the best Aaron 🤑

    quick question. One of the important points you mentioned is price of the product. If I have 4 size variants of a product. Larger the size, higher is the price. So what if I just excluded higher price options and only kept the one which is the lowest price among those variants. Will google ads still work, is it a good trick? Since buyer choosing size comes at a later stage. Before clicking, buyer is mostly interested in the looks and price of the product. Will I be able to get more click using this strategy?

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds  2 роки тому

      Hi Steve, yes you could definitely also break the groups of products into different campaigns- and I also have shopping campaigns with this type of segmentation.
      It really comes down to how you want to set your budgets as you can control your budgets at the campaign level.
      The main thing is that you have product grouping & segmentation so that you can make these decisions on what is best for your client or business

  • @johnniewalker4931
    @johnniewalker4931 2 роки тому +1

    Hi Aaron, love the straightforward approach of your videos, makes them really easy to follow.
    One question about this type of campaign structure, does it apply even for low spend ad accounts ( around £500 per month ), as I heard that too much segmentation can cause problems.
    Also, I have tried multiple ad groups in a single campaign before but the performance seemed worse than just a single campaign/single ad group for some reason, maybe I just didn't give it enough time?
    Thanks.

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds  2 роки тому +3

      Thanks Johnnie,
      It’s more about finding the right solution for your products and product pages as Google will use your product titles & product page content to help with the targeting.
      So the issue is not too much segmentation but more around how the products are performing together.
      As one of the main goals for setting into different ad groups is so you can tailor the search terms - by adding negative KWs at an ad group level.
      For segmentation at a campaign level the goal here to get the right budget settings. As if you have a couple of products taking all the spend it is better to break them into a seperate campaign so your other products also have some budget left over
      Hope that helps (& makes sense 😂)

    Hi Aaron
    I really like your content!! As you mentioned in the video, making the shopping’s adds granular on product category level or even on product level is crucial to be able to optimize the performance. You structured the breakdown of product category in one campaign and different Adds groups. As we do have only few products, I was even thinking to go a step further and create individual campaigns for one product category or even single products were we have high search volumes.
    Can you recommend splitting the different products categories with individual campaigns or do consider it more beneficial to make the splitting on Adds Group level?
    Thanks for your reply and I will just subscribe to your channel 😉

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the subscribe Miguel!
      I would only spilt into seperate campaigns if:
      - I wanted to control the budget for each product (as budgets are set at a campaign level)
      - or if 1 or 2 products were taking all of the ad spend. In this case I would seperate them into another campaign so that the remaining products have a seperate budget.
      All the best, Aaron
