I'm 59 and at one time or another i have eaten many of these foods over the years and still eat some of them occasionally many of these foods were very popular here in Oklahoma and some still are popular today and thanks for the delicious memories.😋🍔🍜🍛🥪😋
I am from Canada and in the 80’s my parents sent me to summer camp in New Hampshire USA. I discovered there the sloppy Joes and loved it so much. Seeing them in your video makes me want to make some 😋
you already have gone wrong on the first food. The cheeseballs described were not fried like what is pictured. Though now you are making me want to try frying my next cheeseball.
It's not the food now it's the memory of the past the people we remember the ads which made us happy the feeling All you think about is the food.... No .... Food is just a hungry we fulfill
Ah, the McDonalds pizza! It was actually one of my favorite lunches and I had one once (sometimes twice) a week as a regular part of my lunch rotation. I bought the first one, thinking it would be terrible, but was pleasantly surprised. It was one of the few unusual foods McD's tried that was good!
I used to make the homemade version of Chocolate Li'l Bucket Parfait for my kids when they was little. It was cheaper and they had more of it in bigger cups for after school snacks or after supper deserts. It was easier for me too. I dint have to get dressed and go down to KFC to order them and lug them back home! Lol! 😂 😂
It's not the food eating it's the memory of the people in the past ... The sound the ads ... The feeling of happiness of the past.... Which we miss which is sad ..... Ur talking about the food
A lot of these are still around today & i still eat a lot of them. I think you got the cheeseballs mixed up. You showed breaded fried cheeseballs but was expaining those made of cream cheese, ham, green onions, everyone adds different stuff but they are ate cold usually on crackers. They arent fried. I fixed them for my kids at least once a month, they love them. We also eat Sloppy Joes, taco salad, chicken salad, pea salad, beef wellington, shepards pie/cottage pie and many more of these.
Their so-called “cherry-berries on a cloud” is a munged up Pavlova, named after Anna Pavlova, the prima ballerina. It’s an Australian dessert made with a meringue shell and filled with strawberries and whipped cream.
I recognize about 3/4 of these but some are before my time. About 1/4 do not seem to be as obsolete but I do live in the south. I love the content but the price estimation is much higher than the cost in the era.
Does anyone remember steamburgers? Are they the same as maid rite sandwiches? Not sure but if someone knows how to make a spiced steamburger please @ me!
I looooove sweet 'n' sour chicken but not the sweet 'n' sour pork. I don't like pork. Even as a child l would gag on pork. But l'll enjoy sweet 'n' sour chicken!
Back in the day that’s how they made it. Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, developed the recipe using just three ingredients - apples, celery and mayonnaise - and this one closely mirrors that version A Waldorf salad is a fruit and nut salad generally made of celery, fresh apples, walnuts, and grapes, dressed in mayonnaise, and traditionally served on a bed of lettuce as an appetizer or a light meal. The apples, celery, and grapes can all be green, which harmonizes the color palette of the dish.❤
Devil's Ham is nasty! My Moms would make Devil's Ham sandwiches and ever time l would try to eat them, l'd gag! Even now l can't stand Underwood Deviled Ham! I do like their Chicken though on a bulky roll.
Feel better? 🙄 As for the pronunciation of "aluminum", I'm searching and don't see any stray 'I' after the 'n' which makes the American pronunciation the correct one. And there are plenty of people in the UK who drop their aitches...
@Lucinda_Jackson you do realise that you and your fellow Americans speak English, not American ? You do realise you are speaking to someone who speaks English? In fact, Scottish. The Scots from the North East are renowned for speaking the purest English language. You bastardise nearly every word you speak, It's called "lazy grammar"...! You can't even pronounce the French word "Croissants...l could go on and on and on. But hey, like your hill billy trump supporters, we find it highly amusing 🤣 keep it going 😂
I missed that cheese ball era. I'll have to bring that back lol they look so good.

I've had many of these (not foie gras). I even make a few of them. Good food is good food and good food should be enjoyed, at least on occasion.
Was looking for something different the cheese balls look pretty good
LOL, you're confusing cold 'cheese balls' with hot, fried 'cheese balls'. Describing one, showing the other; not a strong start, dude.
I miss the Hula Burger! I loved it without the cheese. I make them at home though. They taste better than the McD's version!
Hardee’s Frisco burger is not discontinued.
Really? We no longer have it at our Hardee's.
Y'all are going to prison for paying Kid Rock to kill me
Love Angelfood Cake and Devil's food Cake too!
Mallo Cups are still sold. They have a dark chocolate version as well. They are not 25 cents anymore tho LOL
Tell house to the best chocolate chip cookies glass of milk
Your prices are way off. We’re talking about the 70’s
God makes every decade special and different 😅😅😅
Those weren’t cheese balls
I recognize about 3/4 of these but some are before my time. About 1/4 do not seem to be as obsolete but I do live in the south.

Remember the American obesity epidemic, anyone?
Zingers and shortbread stripes are still around.
I cant stand baked beans... KFC had the only ones i liked.
B&M baked beans are the only ones I like
Does anyone remember steamburgers? Are they the same as maid rite sandwiches? Not sure but if someone knows how to make a spiced steamburger please @ me!
I think it was just the loose meat and spices without the tomato sauce
I looooove sweet 'n' sour chicken but not the sweet 'n' sour pork. I don't like pork. Even as a child l would gag on pork. But l'll enjoy sweet 'n' sour chicken!
Deviled eggs are still made...
Wait... Who puts GRAPES in chicken salad?
Back in the day that’s how they made it.

@@Gloria00082 was it more like a 50's/60's thing? I know mayonnaise and nuts but grapes is such a choice.
Grapes in chicken salad is just nasty. I hate that! And raisins should be banned.
I still see it made that way. Two of my aunts use grapes, and one regional grocery store chain puts grapes in their deli-made chicken salad.
I do! Grapes, mayo, candied walnuts and bread or crackers yummy 😋
No to chicken salad.tuna yes
Chicken salad is delicious and so is tuna.
What about the pea salad!?😂
Devil's Ham is nasty! My Moms would make Devil's Ham sandwiches and ever time l would try to eat them, l'd gag! Even now l can't stand Underwood Deviled Ham! I do like their Chicken though on a bulky roll.
E'eerbs..so funny hearing Americans mispronouncing the English language, such as aluuuu-minium, and V- hickles...😂😂😂
