Im sure this has been said many times in the individual videos this compilation is made of: Its not that Americans dont want to go out to eat, but many in the sub 40y/o category have grown tired of chains. If you're gonna spend $20-25, why not go to your local joint that actually cares about its food. We have several great local restaurants here in my city that blow the chainsnout of the water! Their prices are either cheaper or relatively close, but the service and quality is 100 steps above.
Yep the cost is a big factor, even for those of us at 40+ in age. Plus all the restaurants all look like drab grey or brown squares. My family has started calling them McPrisons.
I've only had one racist experience in a restaurant and it was a Waffle House. The waitress was incredibly rude and almost refused to serve it. It was so bad a truck drivers ask the waitress why she was being so rude. Even apologized on her behalf. Even told me I should call corporate on her and to not leave her a tip. The fact that I ignored her rudeness and was nicer the ruder she got made her even more mad. Then when the truck driver confronted her she refused to acknowledge me afterwards so I paid, tipped and left. I called the corporate number to complain but never heard back. The location ended up closing a few years later
We still have Denny's and Outback Steakhouse, and I had a Fuddrucker's until last year when it closed for good. I can't imagine eating a bloomin' onion.... the very idea makes my cholesterol and sugar level goes through the roof!! I doubt there's much I can eat at most chain restaurants; their food isn't exactly diabetic friendly; That's something ALLl chain restaurants need to work on!!🙏🙏🙏 Our Red Lobster closed too...
Whats sad is that chain restaurants are still popular overseas in other countries. it feels like America has given up on eating out due to rising prices and lower quality food. A sign of the times, I guess.
Plus you don't get the same quality as you did back pre-pandemic. Portions are smaller and prices are higher. Its pointless, shrinkflation and Greed ruined everything.
Whats sad is that chain restaurants built on providing high quality food for cheap now are activelly killing us with the subpar food stuffed with all kinds of preservatives and seed oils and charging 10x what they should and expect us to just keep soaking it up. I hope they all fail and shut down.
Corporations tend to eat themselves and over saturate the market. And people are being more liberal, starting to vote with their wallet; and its unhealthy. These kind of corporations tend to fair well in other poorer conservative societies, cause they do, easier to indoctrinate harder workers and ruin their small business's.. Conservative societies usually don't mind "corporations" to a point, before they take over all their business and mom pop shops. By the time those societies evolve, they'll also take note and take the same route, every society tends to follow examples; even in china they are starting to take note and they are prety conservative..
As expensive as fast food has gotten and as quality has dropped, some of these "sit down" restaurants have been busy lately. I can sitdown at Tumbleweed and have a nice experience with great food for roughly the same price as a Big Mac meal at McDonalds, and that includes a nice tip for the Wait Staff, just my opinion
21:04 Not to mention that with the advent of UA-cam, general knowledge about cooking good food became widespread. Why spend money on Outback and other places like that when you can cook similar things at home that are tasty, healthier, and cheaper?
I have an impure hate for olive garden. I'm lactose intolerant, and the only thing I can eat there is the pasta with meat sauce. The salad is honestly not bad.
Yeah ! Eating at a restaurant 😋 like McDonald's Restaurants, Wendy's Restaurants , Denny's Restaurants , Village Inn Restaurants, Burger 🍔 King Restaurants , IHOP Restaurant , and other restaurants are very pricey in today's world 🌎 😑. That's why I eat at home 🏡 🙃.
I used to love Cracker Barrel. Since the pandemic it has been awful. The menu was a fraction of what they had before. Many of the items were no longer available.Their mac and cheese, which used to be so good was awful, clearly made on the stove top instead of being baked. Vegetarian options were more or less nonexistent unless you wanted a salad.
Yeah, that's soooo freaky!!! Thanks for letting us know you were driving there!!! Everyone assumed no humans existed there! Are there roads there too?!? SO, SOOOO FREAKY!!!!!
Foods in restaurants are all ultra processed. Food just gets reheated. I don't eat that. Many wonderful doctors on youtube don't recommend them. Listen to them and change your lifestyle. I did.
I was hoping this was a documentary on the fall of chain restaurants in total, due to inflation, that chain restaurants are a boomer thing, and that farm to fork dining and fresh ingredients are where most people turn.
Try structuring your sentences better! Maybe by using less commas and completing your thoughts one by one, someone will be able to clearly understand the message you're trying to convey... fresh food is good, I agree! Whatever else you were rambling on about, I can't say! 😏
Life would be bleak and completely meaningless if it were not for huge American corporations. I would bitterly defend, even with my life, the corporations. Thank you corporate America for all that you do for us lowly beasts, the cattle born only to serve you.
Considering how many Americans have a health condition that requires a healthier diet, I'm amazed that more fast and fast-cadual food restaurants refuse to serve heathier foods!!! If they'd consider the possible profits, I think they'd jump on the idea!!
It's because the cost is prohibitive to serve healthy food. When you own a big chain you are beholden to shareholders and they put the pressure on you to lower operating costs to maximize profits as much as possible, quality and nutrition be damned. While you would be correct in saying there is a demand for it, the cost of doing business discourages restaurants from going that route
I went to Waffle House once and it was a bad experience. We stood there for 10 minutes and no one came to help us. There was 1 free table but the dishes from the previous diners were still there. No one came out to clean it. We finally left in disgust. Never went back.
Olive Garden is composed 99% from cheap carbohydrates! Which is responsible for people becoming overweight and obese, the true healthier restaurants are steakhouses, as keto and carnivore diets help people lose weight!
kislux You are so well-informed about luxury accessories and bags. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much.
Five guys is to much $$ for a burger, and they LIED to us the consumer as well, all the fixings for ya burger, they failed to have Purple Onions which are better on a burger then white ones are by leaps n bounds!~ FuffRuckers has a location in Michigan, but not in Indiana, Ohio or Illinois which is weird.
"When divorced fathers overcooked the turkey" What kind of crap is that Are you trying to say that men can't cook. Is that your gotcha moment Because the last time I checked men cook the turkey and we cut it.
Weird History Food you might wanna check ya spelling "Some are tried and true, some were once massive and have recently ben crumbling!" ben not been? " Ben is a misspelling of Been" -Bing
So, Denny's bought all of the recently bankrupt "Sambo's" restaurants in 1981 and changed them all to Denny's. Except 2 measly Sambo's locations that decided to stay in business as well as keep the racist name until 2020? Wow! Were they in Missouri or something? 😂 Somewhere in the deep-south for sure!
Probably sitting next to the Coon Chicken Inn. (yes that was a thing, its also just as racist as it sounds. Their mascot was the stereotypical Black porter with the over exaggerated facial features.)
I can't remember the last time I ate at a Cracker Barrell, but I do remember that there was barely anything on the menu that I could safely eat as a Type 1 diabetic... 😢😢 extraordinarily frustrating!!! 😠😠🫤🫤🫤

EXACTLY! I'm 35 and feel that way
I never would have guessed that olive garden sent cooks to Italy for microwaving classes.
Gotta learn how to push the buttons with your pinky out
LOL 😆@@Wickedous
Awesome hearing about all of these chain restaurants as well as
their rises and falls thanks for the delicious memories thank you.
😋🥩🍔🌭🥪😋

Our Red Lobster closed too...
I liked the very subtle Animaniacs call back with the map names
When the economy is good, restaurants do good they don’t close. In the early 2000s the economy was booming and so were restaurants
Dude, I'm impressed with Cracker Barrel.
We need a history of The Highway Diner.
Very valuable episode... Thanks
Whats sad is that chain restaurants are still popular overseas in other countries. it feels like America has given up on eating out due to rising prices and lower quality food. A sign of the times, I guess.
FDA. most of the USA food is banned in Europe.

This is amazing! I ate at Fuddruckers in August and I loved them as a kid.
So what
Thanks for so meaningful and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
You sound like one of those fucking bots I nearly reported you!!
Thanks for this! 🍟
How about doing Checkers restaurant? Love your channels!
I TRIED IT ALL EXCEPT THE FIRST ONE "FUDD.......NEVER HEARD ABOUT IT UNTIL NOW"! DENNYS WAS MY FAVORITE AFTER CLUBBING DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER BC CANADA.
We still have Outback’s steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Dennys!
I'm so sorry to hear that.
I have never ate at Olive Garden.
21:04 Not to mention that with the advent of UA-cam, general knowledge about cooking good food became widespread. Why spend money on Outback and other places like that when you can cook similar things at home that are tasty, healthier, and cheaper?
Very good point; I didn’t consider this one
I have an impure hate for olive garden. I'm lactose intolerant, and the only thing I can eat there is the pasta with meat sauce. The salad is honestly not bad.
Jesus, that time of fast food growth was a bit like Silicon Valley, just with beef. It grew until it couldn't.
Is this a reupload?
Compilation
They might be on vacation so they threw this together.
The 1hr & 1/2 length didn't give it away did it?? 😂😂
Couldn’t you see sides of beef hanging in the fridge before cutting at fuddruckers or was that another restaurant?
Rumor has it that chick fill a is coming to my hometown .

Buca de Peppa is far superior to Olive Garden or Strings! If your lucky you can sit at the Kitchen Table!
FFS...Puerto Rico is NOT another country. It's a US territory.
Other than that glaringly ridiculous error, the rest was very interesting. Thank you.
I cringed so hard.
"The restaurant's called what?"
-Paul Rudd.
That’s freaky, I’m driving through Freeport, FL as we speak.
Yeah, that's soooo freaky!!! Thanks for letting us know you were driving there!!! Everyone assumed no humans existed there! Are there roads there too?!? SO, SOOOO FREAKY!!!!!
do more canadian food history
Yeah, eh?
Did they fall, though? My town's lousy with 'em.
Perhaps you could do a piece on Polycarpa or Eva Peron? You have a ton of stuff on American founding fathers but not too much on South America.
We have a Ruby Tuesday's still, I figured they would have closed by now, it's really pretty horrible.
Puerto Rico is not a country. Fun fact for you.
Foods in restaurants are all ultra processed. Food just gets reheated. I don't eat that. Many wonderful doctors on youtube don't recommend them. Listen to them and change your lifestyle. I did.
Denny's is still awesome...as long as you go to the right one.
But, come on man, diner food is where it's at!
Denny's is still going strong, while Chili's is still filthy.
Puerto Rico is not another country.
We were so juvenile back in the day saying "Bu**F**k**'s"
Nice comparison re: spreading faster than a wet gremlin. 😅
How about sirloin stockade
They said “it took a brutal toll.” That’s genocide they’re referring to.
2 hosts 1 channel lol
Whoaaaa Perkins!
Oh Jesus Christ I'm from outback broken hill NSW Australia where mad max 2 was filmed you guys need to go to the Mad Max museum!
Naw

no more compilations.
ots just old videos combined in a *too long* video
kislux You are so well-informed about luxury accessories and bags. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much.
Lost my respect by combining premade. Videos into a compilation, and pretending it’s new content.
Dennys is the bomb
Just FYI Mogwai are not Gremlins XD
Love the the hate from
"christian Barrel" restaurants
Lol
Nice going beardo lovers
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Time to grow up
antiques 1:12:38 - For most of Kentucky, Cincinnati Reds are the closest MLB team .
Did y'all just do this one?
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
Such bad jokes
Five guys is to much $$ for a burger, and they LIED to us the consumer as well, all the fixings for ya burger, they failed to have Purple Onions which are better on a burger then white ones are by leaps n bounds!~
FuffRuckers has a location in Michigan, but not in Indiana, Ohio or Illinois which is weird.
Plus, they got rid of the free peanuts. They were a great snack while waiting for delivery pickups.
Probably because of ppl with peanut allergies complaining.
Bc in Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois you can get decent burgers at any greasy spoon.
Now Timbers in 4Winds Casino makes a good bbq burger so does Portilos!~
Love your attitude about this bag and not caring about what people will say. kislux You are right keep your head up and no your priorities.
A restaurant called Cracker Barrel being Racist. Who would have thought. The name kept me away.

salt, sugar, fat, pre-digested food and chemicals you never heard of. couldnt go wrong
I keep forgetting you're the person who thinks that you're funny and I can never make it more than 2 minutes into one of your videos.
How about video about Timber Lodge Steakhouse from the Midwest? 85 locations down to one. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timber_Lodge_Steakhouse
I can't remember the last time I ate at a Cracker Barrell, but I do remember that there was barely anything on the menu that I could safely eat as a Type 1 diabetic... 😢😢 extraordinarily frustrating!!! 😠😠🫤🫤🫤
Cracker Barrel is where you go to eat if you hate having a functioning circulatory system.
there is atlleast two locations in camada. regina and saskatoon
Puerto Rico is not another country.
