It come to my attention that I might have left a Station that begins with V out but it is a debatable one.... London Victoria because it can be known as 'Victoria Station' So I do have a question to ask London Victoria Station or Victoria Station? Yes there is a Victoria on the London Underground but this video focuses on Railway Stations on the National Rail Network and not Stations or tram stops on the London Underground and any light rail systems Also quick correction! Did get the buildings wrong at Vauxhall Station, MI6 is next door to the Station and not MI5, that is across the river.
I Checked on Wikipedia when watching and it's not listed on UK train stations beginning with V just the 3 you went to. A suggestion you could make a video where you go to the 3 train stations in london that officially say London on the train map: London Bridge,London City Airport and London Fields.
@@DanBen07 I did check on Wikipedia before the video was made and after it was uploaded. Having a quick look I'm guessing this is the Tube map that has London Bridge, London City Airport and London Fields?
@Sim0nTrains well the two London train maps I look at can come from TFL or National Rail sites. It was just a fun suggestion for you to go to places names in.
It sure was. There is another one that only has five Stations that begin with the same Letter.... Six if you could one in Northern Ireland and it's a little tougher than V. Thanks for watching Nick.
Thank you Rachel, I honestly really did enjoyed it. Even know some parts were brutal like that London Northwestern Ride. There is another letter that has less Stations and it much harder than V so may do that next year in the Spring/Summer. Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year
12:47 Simon you are correct! A few months ago I was staying in Ruswarp, on the Esk Valley Line, virtually all of the videos are on my other channel. Although it was not a far walk from Whitby to Ruswarp I decided to take the train as that morning I did the Whitby Park Run and I had already done a fairly distant walk that morning. Northern did not announce that the train’s doors would not open in the front unit!!! I missed my stop and arrived in Sleights. The Northern guard apologised and said that the announcements had failed in the unit. Luckily it was only a 3 mile walk back to Ruswarp.
The video I've filmed a few weeks after I Visited Bescar Lane, New Lane and Hoscar and I was in the wrong part of the train at Bescar Lane due to the short platform and couldn't get off so it kind of a dig at that. Even if the announcements have failed, he still should had walk up and down the train asking passengers.
@ I suppose he should have but I am not sure if he was aware at the time 😂. He said it had played up on the way from Middlesbrough but thought it was working again. Anyhow was a fantastic video, I imagine you were tired after that!
Great video of the three stations starting with V That blooper with the ticket for the wrong date highlights once again why we need to keep the ticket offices
“So we’ve now made it to our next stop on this journey, this is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch” Good Christ I’m looking forward to that 😂😂😂
Warren Street to Euston is probably quicker walking at street level rather than going down to the Victoria Line and going back up into the station at Euston.
I think it is 10 minute walk, I did it once as the train that I was on wasn't going to stop at Euston so I have to get off at Warren Street but I had time to kill so I didn't mind but think your right, walking is quicker
ive used Virginia Water a few times & its an ok station not the best station for filming trains & last time i used that station i had a ride on a SWR class 458/4 & they are ok & i have used Vauxhall a few times before not to train spot as ive heard they are very strict on that section & Valley looks like a lovely station brilliant vlog
I heard they're strict with Vauxhall because of MI6 across the street. It one of those Stations that if you ask permission the should be okay with it. Thanks Michael
This is what I've mentioned in the pin comment as it came to my attention this morning on discord because it is known as Victoria but also known as London Victoria. Signs do say London Victoria but makes me wonder if it local London thing by calling it Victoria.
Are there other railway stations that have the letter V that you probably haven’t been to. I have been to Vauxhall and I definitely haven’t been to Virginia Waters.
Would had been Sainsburys... to be fair I did go into Sainsburys to buy lunch but it was 50/50 for Breakfast but it just is just what I felt like having at the time.

I think you covered yourself by using the Victoria Line away from Vauxhall! Good tip about Warren Street as well - I shall remember that one!

@GLovesTrains it was but lucky I took advantage and spent the night in Holyhead 😂
Fantastic video as always Simon! ~Hugh
Thank you TFL Three
Nice to see the Class 458s being refurbished. South Western Railway should still introduce the Class 701 on other routes in 2025.
Tough challenge indeed! Still you did it so congrats to you! Good variety of Sprinters as well as spotting your Beloved 170502 and the Immortal Pacer!
Great video Simon
Thanks John

I did something similar when booking tickets only booked it a mouth later. So I did the journey a mouth later.
The pricing wasn't good to make this journey but when checking advance tickets. It could had been done for half the price so went with it.

There are only 3 stations that begin with V, not counting Light Rail Systems
First thing I thought, Virgina Water, Vauxhall and Victoria, will be easy.... forgot about Valley
I would have just waited until I got to Euston to buy food.

When are you doing every station beginning with S in one day Si? 😅
Too Many LOL! Especially since you got Sugar Loaf and Stranear as well
How about all the stations with a 'z' in their name?
There none on the National Rail Network that begins with Z
@Sim0nTrains I was suggesting a 'z' anywhere in their name.
