Great Vlog, good to see the line open once again, it will be great once all the stations are open. Its a bit far for me to go, as I have a few longish trips planned for next year, but I hope to make it at some point. Thanks for your dedication in getting this out for us today, have a great Christmas and New Year.
I have subscribed to 'Sarahwiththetrains' and love her videos; they are brilliant! As for your video, it's great and thanks. I have now subscribed. Regards, Eric.
My suggestion for Network Rail is to extend the line from Ashington to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Newsham to Blyth and to add 2 extra stations on the Blyth & Tyne Railway including Hepscott and Choppington. But it’s nice to see the Northumberland Line now officially reopened to public.
Nice video Simon. In my opinion for your next video, you should make a video about riding on the GWR's North Downs Line from Reading to either Redhill and Gatwick Airport via Guildford.
Brilliant video Cyber, it just has to be windy when new stations open doesn't it? lol. Nice to see the Northumberland line reopen, I hope it's a success.
Great vlog, Simon! Definitely a great turnout! I'll definitely come up when all stations have opened! Sarah is awesome! I'm glad you finally got to meet!
So pleased to see a line reopen. I thought it was a shame that Northern couldn’t have cleaned the first train on the line! (I know it’s a small thing, but still…) Also, are the station signs temporary - the sign for Ashington in the platform looked tiny!
It’s so nice to see the Northumberland Line now reopened along with new railway stations to be built. It’s been a long time since passenger trains last used the line.
When you cross the Black bridge over the river Blyth heading North look west just over the trees is the site of the Bedlington iron works. Here in the 1820,s the first extruded iron railway lines were made and patented. Railways began here.
Quite funny. Seeing all these people on a line that the locals have been waiting for for years. I hope you and your followers will come up for the 200 and 300 year celebrations at the Tanfield railway, near Stanley. Having the oldest building still in use on a working railway.
I will miss the 158's when they are withdrawn. The best second generation DMU to have ever been on the rails. Hopefully they have many years to go before they are withdrawn.
Think it could be within 3 years as last built was 32 years ago, although Bakerloo Line trains are 52 years old and probably be around another 8 years minimum I'd say
@@mbradfield53I don’t think it will be that soon as it’s northern and it’s not even that people hate them unlike the pacers were, actually I don’t know one person that even slightly dislikes 158s

I can't see why not, the Northumberland Line. I think it will be successful
Totally agree
Great video! In fact a pair of 158s!
Thank you and was great to see a pair of Class 158s
Hi I was at the station and got the 10:53 train to Newcastle and we had to stand up it so packed
That was the same train I caught if it was from Seaton Delaval and it was rammed as I was between the two units. Those services were busy today
@ I know I could hardly breathe in carriage it was really surprising that there were no seats at all I should of know because of it just opening

Thank you, I wouldn't mind doing the North Downs Line at one point. it won't be the next video, but maybe a future video down the line.
@@Sim0nTrains You're welcome and no problem.
@@Sim0nTrains- do let me know if you come down this way (I’m in Reigate!)
Great video!
Thank you
@Sim0nTrains 👍 was nice meeting you yesterday
Brilliant video Cyber, it just has to be windy when new stations open doesn't it? lol. Nice to see the Northumberland line reopen, I hope it's a success.
Thanks Reuben, I think it will be successful, it was busy today as well

Was opposite tou and sarah did have a little giggle at how often you had to restart due to onnouncements...
No worries, hope you enjoyed the outtakes live 👍
Good vlog cyber you can connect to the Northumberland line with cross-country from Birmingham new street
Thank you, You can but you have to change trains at Newcastle
8:42 Still, could be worse hahaha
Rock and a hard place lol
I'd love to go and visit the Northumberland Line but I've got business to do. Thanks anyway.
Seaton Delaval......that's easy for you to say! 😂😂😂
Wasn't easy to say lol
08:29 wtf is bro looking at? 😭💀💀
No idea what bro is looking at lol 😆
He didn't put me off so it's fine
