Yes I agree. The three in tandem are amazing… so you set up a mortar hidden safely behind a building or big rock so it’s less likely to get taken out, then put Gatling forward on a choke point so it can take out all the little bugs, and set up the autocannon facing diagonally to the choke point behind the Gatling a good ways back, then the bigger chargers that get past the Gatling will get stunlocked and taken out by the autocannon. Then for that time period, your whole team can be focused on your other fronts/directions (works particularly well waiting on extraction)

@dennishorror142 imagine trying to gatekeep people from joining a cool community of Super Earthers when we need every able body to spread managed democracy.
Legacy just got to say the point of stratgems is to call them in. It doesn't matter if one becomes negated because they overlap. We take out the threats of super earth with extreme overwhelming force.
Don’t sleep on the disposable rocket launcher. I call it in as often as it is available so the map is littered in launchers. Hitting a Drop Ship in the engine will prevent the reinforcements from dropping in. Having these everywhere means a teammate with a different support can pick one up, take out the drop ship and pick their preferred support back up
I just bought this game yesterday. With just a few hours played I'm impressed with the community so far. When I accidently killed one of my teammates I was so prepared for something toxic coming my way. The guy just laughed it off as said "I'm one of the good guys" lol. Also not really knowing what I'm doing and kind of running in random directions I was happy that other players don't get all bent out of shape and instead give friendly hints how I can be more helpful to the mission. I hope the community stays cool. This game is an absolute...blast... hahah :p
I’m not a high enough level to have any boosters unlocked, but I think the issue with players not equipping them is that most games have boosters as a one time/limited use. This leads people to think they’re saving boosters since they’re wanting to not waste it so they can have them when they think they need it at higher levels and difficulties.
Yeah I had no idea they were unlimited. I didn't bother unlocking one until I was about 6 pages into the war bonds, when someone mentioned they are infinite.
All really helpful and common sense tips! Also, for the love of democracy, if you're joining someone else's game, the least you could do is follow their lead. Me tagging a secondary objective while a random went and called extraction with 20 min left was disappointing.
randoms called extraction with 25 minutes left, while I was on the other end of the map gathering samples and clearing bug holes. So I ran to get there in 2 minutes as the taxi was approaching, after which, when I reached the landing area, the randoms dropped a stratagem on my head, killing me, and didn't even bother to pick up the samples that dropped from my dead body. That was the worst run ever I think. I then proceeded to kick and block them, but not before ranting about it in the chat...
I just downloaded this game two days ago. I still don't have a mic set up yet, but sticking with the team and dropping supplies at every event has helped me pull my weight. This is the best online game I've played in years.
Minor overlooked (but important feature!) is to identify the call-in of other players, by looking at the base of a statagem call-in. it will display the name and time of the strike being called (so if it is a cluster-bomb, RUN, for example) Also wish you at least mentioned the stratagem scramble modifier for Automatons, and how to get around it - so many players still think this is a bug. But yes, the moment you did your stratagem call sequence (before you throw it), the list (top left) will SHOW you which stratagem was activated (the orb in your hand will also be blue or red). So if it is the wrong one, just re-do the stratagem before throwing it, check, and if it is correct, THEN throw. You can also cancel any stratagem you still have in your hand by just swopping to a weapon, or re-doing another stratagem call-in
Sometimes I like to do the primary objective first, then explore the map and hit the secondary ones, so if I die the job still gets done. (That’s mostly when I play solo)
Ya he also didnt mention the fact that its more XP efficient to do missions quickly, do the primary and secondary and get out, but you will miss alot of samples, So its more of a choice you make on what your trying to do, are you farming XP to get to a certain level to unlock your stratagem you want? or trying to farm samples for upgrades, In Low levels id say just go for XP and once you get higher difficulties then try and get those rare samples as much as possible
We do this on higher difficulties too. Rush the main objective early (and any side missions organically in our path) when there's less lost if you die. Once we know it's completed, we swap to finding a many samples etc as possible before finally calling for the dropship.
Here’s a tip that you will appreciate, completing the main objective has the greatest effect on the spawn rate. If you complete the main objective first, you are crippling the rest of your run, because you just increased the spawn rate by almost 4 times as often
For those that do not know. At higher levels the bugs start shooting 1hitkill plasma out their butts. So those shields do help. And as for chargers, with the shield it will negate their attack so u won’t go flying (also work with the environment effects on different maps)
Agree. You dont need to stay and fight everything. In HD1: running away, repositioning was king at harder difficulties, thats still true now. At Helldive difficult 9, the concept of getting 2+ bile titans at once is very likely and the team should be kiting them
It is set to off likely for a "more cinematic experience." While I do see the benefit on having reticle always on, personally I don't run with it off unless I'm aiming. It's just distracting to me.
Keep in mind that for the complex stratagem plotting effect, you are looking at a 4 minute extract timer. Head there early and be prepared for a long fight.
I got a weird tip. Don't use the handle unknown. Kept getting kicked and couldn't figure out why, even on runs I carried. Turns out there's a lot of stuff that kills you and blames unknown, acid for example
Good stuff here. A few minor additions: if a strategem air strike is on the way, don't waste ammo shooting bugs in the impact zone. Let the airstrike take care of them. Don't drop machine gun turrets in the center of the drop zone. It's a great way to get shot in the back. Put them on the perimeter. Grenade launcher + supply pack is a great loadout for near-infinite grenade spam.
Going straight to main objectives then extracting without secondary objectives is the fastest way to get XP by a significant margin. It is helpful to do this when rushing lvl 20. At that point objectives are worth it for medals and samples.
imo, youre just hamstringing yourself in the long term there, same with mortar spams and only doing the exterminate missions for fast medals/xp. youre still going to have to learn how those objectives work and doing them on lower difficultys, organically, means youre going to have a better understanding of their layout, their rewards, the TERRAIN (a big one) etc before you hit higher difficultys and the modifiers/mutators take effect. you also learn how to play with/around others as you do, in a lower stress environment. Not to say you cant just scale it back after the spam/lvl 20 rush is done but youre missing out on samples, super credits and trying out weapons/backpacks that randomly spawn around POIs before the absolute madness that is level 7+ when you really do need those level 20 unlocks. (and youll probably never pick up a break action shotty or randomly spawned Guard Dog ever again, let alone have time to push the 2 man bunker buttons) TL;DR; (imo) rush it after youre comfortable beating 5 (challenging) maps in their entirety. otherwise youre just gonna dive harder at 9 (helldive) when you find yourself caught out, cut off and in unknown terrain.
Had a random joined my game who was only rushing objectives, and he was over level 20. Said in text chat "cmom bro let's go," simply ignoring side objectives, samples, etc. He has no need for XP past level 20 and should have had enough money by that point to buy the strategems he wants. Told him not to join someone's game and tell them how to play. You wanna rush objectives, fine. But do it in your own lobby. I'm focused on actually enjoying myself.
actually that's the crazy thing i Joined a quick play with a level 40+ leader and a lvl 12 ally with me also lvl 12. unknowingly leader had no mic and decided to hot drop us in a Hell Dive 9 difficulty of pure attrition and after the first time around with absolutely no coms we somehow stopped dieing every 3 seconds.
Another thing about voice chat that I think A LOT of people are missing.... You don't need a headset microphone to communicate verbally with your teammates. On PS5 you can speak directly into your controller.
Very true! I found this out a couple of weeks ago when I played but forgot my headphones. I saw the voice thing in-game and realized that the controller has it!
Biggest mistake is actually “not having fun”. I’ll listen to people scream over a voice chat about doing all the stuff you mention to the point everyone is miserable (I’m usually cracking up because leading randoms is like herding cats). You specifically mention running a load out that you don’t like playing with….while that is certainly the meta you need to ask yourself what you’re actually doing with your life is you don’t even like what your doing in video games.
I got ridiculed by a high level dude at difficulty 8 for not using the Railgun. I prefer and enjoy the hell out of the autocannon, so I use that. And of course he was running the meta setup. Probably can't play a video game without a tier list.
This. So much this. Some of my favourite missions have been with randoms where we just ping our way around the map and we're all carrying an eclectic mix of gear. It's just the best time in gaming I've had in years.
- A common mistake i see is people calling in reinforcement right on top of the point where their team was just overrun. You can throw re-enforcement beacon just like regular orbital. Turn around and throw it away from the wave of enemies to give your squad a chance to come back into safety ..... unless your trying to drop pod a bile titan there no need to drop me into the middle of a bug nest. - if your team are running for an objective you can complete sequence for your support weapons on the go then throw it far ahead of you. By the time it is called in 10 sec later you will just be running past it and can pick it up without slowing down your squad. - Keep an eye on your cool downs. When running to next objective is perfect time to send eagle back for re-supply. still have your shield or guard dog, go ahead can call one in for a team mate if they are not running a pack. -if you have expendable tank rocket, go ahead and drop it ever time it is up. even if you don't wind up using it in a fight, it will probably be ready again to call for your next fight. If your team mate calls in tank rocket don't feel like you shouldn't use his weapon like most other support items. If there are two chargers, and you don't have a suitable support weapon to deal with one, go ahead and pick up the second rocket, use it, then pick your original support weapon back up.
yeah, it hurts so much, being dropped into the middel of a bug horde, without your shield and fav weapon, and dying immediately after, only to be dropped into the middle of the same horde again...
Running into enemies fleeing other enemies because they’re not tap checking their radar when fleeing. Wiped a impossible because the dude with the shield pack was the worst one and not cooperating with the team
Always check the planet effects. Strat scramble is a real thing and not you going crazy. And in harder difficulty don’t just chuck reinforcements into the enemy mass. More often than not they will die. Especially in helldive difficulty. They are not grenades
I throw the orbit strike one way and the redeploy in the other after a short jog and they still manage to run straight into it. Still less frustrating than teammates claiming they did more cause they have more kills when the reality is that I had to run into the base to destroy the spawners cause they were in the same position for 20 minutes like its a survival shooter
After talking to a few higher level people who don't appear to run boosters, the common consensus is they have the first couple but spent poorly going for more gun unlocks than focusing on the page unlocks to get to the boosters. If you spend on both credit panels you don't get far into the pages very fast. Especially if you spend on the premium page.
SO many sleep on Boosters. Important tip. I've been focusing 100% on maxing the base Warbond mainly for the plethora of great booster options. The Steeled Veteran one gives just one (I think) and the amount of impact it provides is incomparable to the Mobilize warbond boosters.
The friendly fire thing..if you’re in the front and you know your team is behind you shooting..just CROUCH. Then the people behind can stay standing and shoot right over you no problem.
The high levels without boosters are probably people like me who started with the premium warbond. You don't get one until the very end with that path.
Ton of good stuff early in the basic warbond pass too. Kind of a big mistake only focusing on the premium one at the start. Not like they go away. They'll be around forever.
@@weirdkid5I wouldn't call it a mistake at all. Time and resource-wise we kind of hv to focus on one or the other. Trying to spread medals across the two warbond types (from the start) would considerably slow meaningful progress/purchases because of how they set things up w minimum spend requirements to advance. Boosters are definitely lacking tho. But Premium allows access to some great stuff earlier on than basic. Namely, a medium-armor penetrating primary weapon called the Dominator. Comes later for basic. Plus, I never go anywhere w/o my incendiary grenades and Senator pistol/cannon.
Good video. I think a lot of people know by now but when you do a side objective like a nest or a factory it increases enemy presence and when you do a main objective it drastically increases enemy presence so you might actually want to run around and collect all the samples before you do your objectives.
Rule #1: Stop calling down reinforcements into the middle of the enemy’s forces!! Get some space and throw the transponder away from the enemies. And if you really want to be helpful. Stay and lend support until it drops. Nothing worse than spawning in the middle of a group of enemies. Basically a waste of reinforcements.
We need more like this. New to this game, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing first time in. I only had the basic tutorial which doesn’t address many issues.
One of the most important modifiers you forgot to mention is the one that scramples your strategems. I have died so many times to people calling in eagle strikes at the beginning of the game because they didn't stop to check if they got the right strategem. xD the modifier is usually only present on higher difficulties though.
well, they don't need to catch you or run after you, if they have the Eye of Sauron turret that shoots rockets across the entire Malevelon Creek... Can't ever outrun that ;)
I love the autocannon on all difficulties. And I have a friend who uses a recoilless. Its a really nice synergy, and because of how the autocannon reloads, you can solo wield it (giving up a shield backpack) its great.
You know what sucks? I'm a noob, only picked up this game a week ago and it's also my first "dive" into the genre. All these tips sound like common sense to me though. I keep being amazed by how utterly dumb people can be. I mean a mistake? Meh that's fine we all make mistakes. But I see so many people that think their team is 3 NPCs and them? The main characters running around like they're the badass protagonist but need rescuing, ressing and generally being looked after like some toddler on crack. It's annoying. Once I'm level 20 I'll go diving on harder settings, hopefully there are less ehh "heroes" there and more team players.
true, higher difficulties are actually easier, bcoz there are less noobs. When I play with randoms, other players kill me more often than bugs. So when playing in a squad like that, staying away from them is a safety measure.
That's my biggest gripe right now ... people bee line the orange objective and then call in the evac You just waited in ques to play this game, you've dropped down and now the interesting fun bit is the bit you want to rush through and get away from!? You're going to be high level with no ship upgrades or new weapons/armour! Plus, you're playing the game to kill bugs and bots .... so you'd want to spend as much time on planet doing that right? So why are you rushing!? I know there is more experience if you get the mission done more quickly but so what? It's not that much in the grand scheme of things
It’s crazy how many people don’t use boosters and throw stratagems right on top of you when you’re running around with a charger or something like that
Communication is key in this game, purely because without that you are in for a bad time regardless with a random team or with a good team with friends. Strategy is another key factor in picking out which missions you do first because I usually do the hardest ones firsts that way I don’t completely screw up the operation at the end. Always pick the planet on the faction that needs the most attention. For your efforts will be wasted if you are focusing on a faction that is not an immediate threat. Example is with the terminds, automatons are the immediate threat right now. And finally, always have a plan before you go into a mission, and get a feel for each of the missions so that you can have a strategy on how to handle every situation regardless of difficulty!! Trust your brother in arms and they will trust in you. Semper fi Helldivers!!! As always, fight hard, fight the good fight, and long live DEMOCRACY!!!!
I love it when i play and ppl waste time w secondary or looting dies to it and havent done any main then they quit and im left one just 1 diver and we fonish it up w no respawns😂😂😂. Dnt quit ever. Just see it through.
Stop throwing grenades in the vicinity of teammates, same goes for the grenade launcher. Don't throw the reinforcement into the middle of a bug nest or swarm. If teams are split into pairs, (ie buddy system) make sure to reinforce the buddy you are with (don't reinforce a teammate that is on a different objective) as that will just send them across the map and make the teams 3 and 1, (also any dropped items can't easily be retrieved.) Lastly don't leave your teammates behind while they fight for their life. Help them egress towards the next objective.
Not gonna lie, all those are very solid tips, but for the love of Democracy, the most important and underutilized is communication!!! I would argue that even when using mics the ping system is a invaluable tool... Depending on perks or boosters, droped pins on the map will ping enemies around it, not to mention that for know objectives to show on the compassé it must be marked by someone (in fact here's a bonus tip: stalker lairs should be a priority, and those have a peculiar rock formation, if you know what you're looking for and try to pin it on the map and it shows as a square objective marker than is a 100% sure that's a stalker lair) and marking priority targets and patrols is the best way to show enemy positions since many planets have poor visual conditions (i.e. show don't tell..lol)... But what amazes my is the sheer number of players who never ever ping nor say anything in a multiplayer co-op game...
It'll be nice to have language flags in the players' nicknames too. I'm Brazilian and it would be helpful to know which language I can use with my fellow Helldivers
racing against the clock is usually what cuts short how many optional objectives you can do, at least until vehicles are added into the game; divide and conquer so that every mission doesn't feel like it's always down to the wire
I have a sick OCD with trying to complete every side objective on the map. I linked up with a great team last night and when you’re blessed with a conscious team…no feeling like it lol
Also: Stop splitting up to get objectives on harder difficulties especially. Top Kills: it’s not about who had the most kills it about did we succeed on our objective and run a solid mission. Top Take Away: Be a clear host and call out your map plan. Level 9 is not that hard if you stay as a team and don’t agro every little movement of life that you see.
5:00 most of these people are the people who only do mortar farm. because it's don't matter in that kind of map. 6:00 in some map there will be map effect where the game will randomly make your strat change to another one that avaiable. im try to called resupply and i kinda remember it by hand so i just press and thrown.. turn out it's an air strike and i wipe the whole team. whoosp. 7:20 just met this myself. my team waste 15 reinforcement on side objective because bot keep coming and they won't falling back. i have to kinda force them out by leave by my self and when some one die i called them down at my position instantly. i use reinforce so much i can finish it in 1second.
motion blur and depth of field - I hate that shit, turn it off in every single game. I am shortsighted in real life, I don't need games replicating my shitty eyesight.
8:38 Stun Grenades are your friends for preventing patrols from calling reinforcements. Open with 1-2 Stun Grenades and have your team UNLOAD on the small bugs and Commissars.
Staying too long is so real. Just last night a simple nest destroying objective took 15 minutes to clear because patrols came in and called in more breaches and we had run out of grenades to close all but one bug hole. It was chaos lol. We should have just ran.
For the boosters, even when no one is using a specific booster, the boooster is greyed out where you can't even use it. I noticed this happening many times while I play this game.
I would like to say one thing for higher difficulties. Extraction is not a necessity, although more of a personal opinion, unless if you have a great number of samples or any number of super samples, i personally wouldn't really consider extraction, instead i would just look around for minor pois. My very limited experience with quick play and randoms have always been people rushing to the extraction right after main even though we've done the radar station and most minor pois haven't been looted. Generally, extraction is not mandatory or rewarding without samples
I just bought the game yesterday, I’m surprised with the community. The first game I played, I called the extraction early cause we had completed the main challenge and I didn’t know there was more to do, my friend told me not to do it a few seconds too late and I was ready to get yelled at by the level 57 in my lobby. They just shrugged it off and said next time I shouldn’t do that as we make more money if we kill more bug hives
On difficulty 7, you are completely fine to mess around with your stratagems and wepons. The shield relay is not that good in general, but you can use it if you feel like it. It's important to try new loadouts in your preferred difficulty level (excluding 8 and 9. Those are for the pros).
So yea I’m level 8 and know nothing about boosters cause I don’t have any cause it’s not mentioned anywhere. I honestly thought those were drop pod decorations.
I love the first rule is someone need to take charge and lead the team basically and I started doing that on my first game with friends that got Hd2 when it dropped and had a couple weeks on me 😅 LIVE TO FIGHT FIGHT TO LIVE…FOR SUPER EARTH
Correction: i would argue you need to shoot things in your way, shoot things depending on mission. If you're defending a point for an operation, every patrol in the area will b line it to you, on top of what the objective spawns. Especially on the harder difficulties, I've found it worth it to wipe patrols BEFORE engaging with the objective. Especially the scientist, icbm or any upload objectives, it's far more safe to engage squads early rather than let them all come to you doing the objective.
Maybe the book "Starship Troopers" written by Heinlein gets a boost. An old classic, Hugo-winner. It's very most rightwing - and takes itself seriously, unlike Helldiver's but mostly a good read nonetheless.
Autocannon turrets is fucking fantastic. You just have to throw it out of the way of everything so it can do its job without getting destroyed right away, chargers will literally change course to destroy it if you throw it while being chased, but if it shoots them just a few times they die before they can even get to it.
Its fun suggestions :). But i play since start only hardest difficulty acailable, drop hot loca, choose unlocks what is most fun rather then whats good :) and basically dont use literally almost none of the suggestions and i can remember only one lost game kinda early. (Lvl 15+ going suicide dificulty with 2x turrets and 2x mines :) having a blast). Also its not a brag cause i dont feel that im somehow rlly good on this game at all.
The main helldiver difficulty loadout rn is just 4 orbital lasers 4 railcannon strikes 4 shields and a mix between railgun and gl or recoiless but always a minimum of 2 railguns. Well this setup is for bugs. Robots require just mortors😂
got the game yesterday put 8h in already and killed a few team members after throwing stratagems and they sprint towards that area after I've thrown it
Bit of an add on to the stop shooting everything is JUST BECAUSE I PINGED IT DOESNT MEAN FUCKING FIGHT IT. the amount of times I would ping a patrol so we can avoid it just for one person to shoot it.
And if you DO throw a strike toward your mate, at least unmute yourself and give them a heads up. Especially if they’re in combat and might not notice the beacon.

Im already knowing bro, I hate those and the white flying ones with the claws.. those be my main reasons for death.
Afraid to die for democracy!? I rock jetpack. Cuz I'm a rocket trooper❤
Agree. You dont need to stay and fight everything. In HD1: running away, repositioning was king at harder difficulties, thats still true now. At Helldive difficult 9, the concept of getting 2+ bile titans at once is very likely and the team should be kiting them
my TIP is that u can turn your hip fire targeting reticle on at all times. not sur y thy set it to off but its a must for run&gun
I was wondering about that. How do you turn the hip fire reticle on?
It is set to off likely for a "more cinematic experience."
While I do see the benefit on having reticle always on, personally I don't run with it off unless I'm aiming. It's just distracting to me.
Keep in mind that for the complex stratagem plotting effect, you are looking at a 4 minute extract timer. Head there early and be prepared for a long fight.
or use stealth and wait for 4 minutes under a rock.
I said for anything above 7-9, go to main OBJ, then do sides so you can at least get it done. One Caviot if it's on the way
I have had up to 5 bile titans at a time at level 9
Doing the main objective quadruples enemy spawn rate, so maybe don't do it first if you want to do other things.
Going straight to main objectives then extracting without secondary objectives is the fastest way to get XP by a significant margin. It is helpful to do this when rushing lvl 20. At that point objectives are worth it for medals and samples.
SHHHHHH
Just play defense missions with 4 mortar turrets, waaaaaaaaay faster, you need samples for those runs
I got kicked for extracting before the side objectives were done. I agree though
imo, youre just hamstringing yourself in the long term there, same with mortar spams and only doing the exterminate missions for fast medals/xp. youre still going to have to learn how those objectives work and doing them on lower difficultys, organically, means youre going to have a better understanding of their layout, their rewards, the TERRAIN (a big one) etc before you hit higher difficultys and the modifiers/mutators take effect. you also learn how to play with/around others as you do, in a lower stress environment.
Not to say you cant just scale it back after the spam/lvl 20 rush is done but youre missing out on samples, super credits and trying out weapons/backpacks that randomly spawn around POIs before the absolute madness that is level 7+ when you really do need those level 20 unlocks. (and youll probably never pick up a break action shotty or randomly spawned Guard Dog ever again, let alone have time to push the 2 man bunker buttons)
TL;DR; (imo) rush it after youre comfortable beating 5 (challenging) maps in their entirety. otherwise youre just gonna dive harder at 9 (helldive) when you find yourself caught out, cut off and in unknown terrain.
We are playing a game or having a second job?
real, stuff like this is how games die, there shouldnt be a "meta" and builds for pve games just have fun
Yes if you want to nit pick builds across the team that’s for the top few difficulties and make your own party. For randoms just have fun.
When your teammates run straight into your orbit strikes lmao 🤣 like broo can you read??
There’s a red pillar of light lmao. Are you even playing with your eyes open?
I throw the orbit strike one way and the redeploy in the other after a short jog and they still manage to run straight into it. Still less frustrating than teammates claiming they did more cause they have more kills when the reality is that I had to run into the base to destroy the spawners cause they were in the same position for 20 minutes like its a survival shooter
@@cixtos It's so frustrating when guys stay in one place just wasting resources wave after wave without completing objectives
I’m working on unlocking the one that ignores difficult terrain. So many deaths to stalkers and running through shrubs. Lol.
So you are focusing on the main path and not the one we get if we purchase the special edition?
It baffles me how often level 10+ divers don't use boosters they should definitely have
@@Joe_Friday Mobilize warbond has way better boosters than Steeled Veteran
@@jayrobins_001impact grenade and autoshotgun are all you need for weapons lol, the boosters are far more worthwhile.
I've never said this about a video about a video game, everyone (they plays Helldivers 2) needs to watch this, I need to watch this. Thanks
Use what you want don't worry about the meta. Only thing i would say is above all else extract the samples
I will ask if they want to spawn away or close… ie hot or not.
Yeah I hate when that happens it's just a waste of reinforcement just to get down and die
Thus far this is one of the few games the toxic trolls haven't reared their heads yet we all just want democracy! Teamwork makes the dream work
Stamina Enhancement is GOATed. Run for days. Enemies cannot kill me if they cannot catch me.
fast af boi
It’s seriously needed with how fast stamina runs out
well, they don't need to catch you or run after you, if they have the Eye of Sauron turret that shoots rockets across the entire Malevelon Creek... Can't ever outrun that ;)
I love the autocannon on all difficulties. And I have a friend who uses a recoilless. Its a really nice synergy, and because of how the autocannon reloads, you can solo wield it (giving up a shield backpack) its great.
4:55 They might not have all the boosters in the game. Two people picked boosters and maybe the 3rd guy only had those 2 picked?
So when playing in a squad like that, staying away from them is a safety measure.
definitely watch where you throw stratagems. I was playing with a random last night and he kept throwing the 380mm bombardment at our feet
Someone playing with 380, is a sign for a instant kick.
Learn to dodge gohan
That's my biggest gripe right now ... people bee line the orange objective and then call in the evac
You just waited in ques to play this game, you've dropped down and now the interesting fun bit is the bit you want to rush through and get away from!? You're going to be high level with no ship upgrades or new weapons/armour!
Plus, you're playing the game to kill bugs and bots .... so you'd want to spend as much time on planet doing that right? So why are you rushing!? I know there is more experience if you get the mission done more quickly but so what? It's not that much in the grand scheme of things
It’s crazy how many people don’t use boosters and throw stratagems right on top of you when you’re running around with a charger or something like that
It is crazy how often I forget they exist. They weren't in HD1.
I keep having players drop minefields on on the entire team lol
Number one: Don’t fight everything that moves!
Yeah I really hate when I get left behind when fighting against hordes of enemies and die when my team did nothing
Not gonna lie, all those are very solid tips, but for the love of Democracy, the most important and underutilized is communication!!! I would argue that even when using mics the ping system is a invaluable tool... Depending on perks or boosters, droped pins on the map will ping enemies around it, not to mention that for know objectives to show on the compassé it must be marked by someone (in fact here's a bonus tip: stalker lairs should be a priority, and those have a peculiar rock formation, if you know what you're looking for and try to pin it on the map and it shows as a square objective marker than is a 100% sure that's a stalker lair)
and marking priority targets and patrols is the best way to show enemy positions since many planets have poor visual conditions (i.e. show don't tell..lol)... But what amazes my is the sheer number of players who never ever ping nor say anything in a multiplayer co-op game...
It'll be nice to have language flags in the players' nicknames too. I'm Brazilian and it would be helpful to know which language I can use with my fellow Helldivers
@@thiagoexe8780 don't know about that, since you can just ask people... But would be helpful to see their lvls... I mean for friends list and whatnot
I keep getting so high that I forget that the red beacons are airstrikes and just walk, right into them. Ope
racing against the clock is usually what cuts short how many optional objectives you can do, at least until vehicles are added into the game; divide and conquer so that every mission doesn't feel like it's always down to the wire
😂😂😂 dnt tell me how to play
I swear the combination for reinforcement is mind muscle connection at this point
Other tips, graphic settings:
1) Turn off Motion Blur.
2) Turn off BLOOM (or get blind in night maps).
3) Set sharpness to 1.0. Less blurry shit.
Also turn of depth of field.
Screen shake as well!
motion blur and depth of field - I hate that shit, turn it off in every single game. I am shortsighted in real life, I don't need games replicating my shitty eyesight.
8:38
Stun Grenades are your friends for preventing patrols from calling reinforcements. Open with 1-2 Stun Grenades and have your team UNLOAD on the small bugs and Commissars.
Why did I just see the atlas symbol from no man’s sky at the top of the coms wheel?
Staying too long is so real. Just last night a simple nest destroying objective took 15 minutes to clear because patrols came in and called in more breaches and we had run out of grenades to close all but one bug hole. It was chaos lol. We should have just ran.
For the boosters, even when no one is using a specific booster, the boooster is greyed out where you can't even use it. I noticed this happening many times while I play this game.
If your joining after people are already deployed, certain boosters can't be equipped
Helldivers never die, so they don't need to extract, obviously.
You can do it when ever.
Sometimes the game won't let me equip a booster so don't judge too harshly when a player doesn't have one equipped.
because you are trying to use one that is already equipped by someone? You cannot repeat them, each player needs to equip a different one.
So yea I’m level 8 and know nothing about boosters cause I don’t have any cause it’s not mentioned anywhere. I honestly thought those were drop pod decorations.
Now those are some Brasch Tactics, use em or die tryin.
Fun fact, bile titans are considered small on their home planet
Hive lords coming when 😆
Sometimes dropping stratagems on your team is unavoidable, the amount of times I’ve had it knocked out of my hand😤
Speaking as a new player (level 5). I had no idea hot spots were even a thing
The biggest mistake you can make, not just in this game, is to go into a public game expecting randies to have the first clue about strategy.
Waaaaah
Shield backpack does work against bugs and melee attacks as well as blocks status effects
Baby
Lol, I love this game. Great info.
Love the video. Can you do one on every objective in the game and the best way to tackle them. I have seen a video on that yet
You can get boosters in the requisition center?!
There’s a bug with boosters I believe, doesn’t always let you equip one. Even if the other players them and it isn’t the one you’re trying to put on
Great video - thanks!
Well made video, thanks.
4:57 there needs to be saved presets. i genuinely forget to put boosters on but i’m not even high level and get to play a lot
Great video, very informative!
I like to complete the main mission early and then clear out the map…in case we have to extract ASAP.
Also its not a brag cause i dont feel that im somehow rlly good on this game at all.
btw radar secondary objective marks all spots of interest on the map
The main helldiver difficulty loadout rn is just 4 orbital lasers 4 railcannon strikes 4 shields and a mix between railgun and gl or recoiless but always a minimum of 2 railguns. Well this setup is for bugs. Robots require just mortors😂
The latest patch increased the capacity and they did it again… 458,709 players. God damn 😌
Enemy spawn rates quadruple after you do the main objective, so do the primary objective last.
1.don't throw a supply pod on your friend's head
Throw it on a crushers
Stay away from the blue beams. If theres a red beam near you, yell at one of your teammates.
got the game yesterday put 8h in already and killed a few team members after throwing stratagems and they sprint towards that area after I've thrown it
Bit of an add on to the stop shooting everything is JUST BECAUSE I PINGED IT DOESNT MEAN FUCKING FIGHT IT. the amount of times I would ping a patrol so we can avoid it just for one person to shoot it.
How do I beat matchmaking? The most op mode in the game.
why the hell didint they teach me this on mars .... so much missing info filled in
updated training protocols weren't in the budget
And if you DO throw a strike toward your mate, at least unmute yourself and give them a heads up. Especially if they’re in combat and might not notice the beacon.
I have a question, today in 2 different games my teammates killed me to pick up the medals I found, why?
So I play this game with friends or someone who can get on a voice channel
