The straffing run might not seem like it but it's actually a good AT option. It does AP5 hits so it's enough to penetrate all the big targets and it actually does enough to kill things like tanks in one pass and Impalers everytime. It will heavily damage Chargers and the like though it can get lucky and kill in one pass, but if it doesn't one shot you can finish them off with the Senator or other tools. It's also nice for chaff to, it's a great toolbox eagle with a ton of users.
This is almost exactly the main loadout I use against bugs. Only difference is the armor and instead of Gatling sentry, I bring MG sentry (just such a short cooldown, can call it everywhere I go pretty much) Armor is just the light armor with extra padding (light gunner) so I still have the speed
I’ve been running the ammo pack, napalm eagle (might swap for sentry), GL, and EATs and it’s been a blast. I mostly focus on hives and crowd control while my teammates focus AT, orbitals, and others. Feels great running the GL with the peak fitness armor to make it super snappy sending grenades right where you want them
The situation at 4:21 is exactly why I prefer using the stalwart instead of the lib carbine. Has a ton of ammo capacity and you can run while reloading. I usually pair it up with the eruptor because of the shrapnel spread but you can use the crossbow too and the senator to get those heavy pen shots at chargers or impalers. You can use the guard dog rover to further save ammo and get those smaller bugs or set bigger bugs on fire
I was experimenting with builds and found a pretty good one, medic armor with eruptor redeemer and thermite with 500kg, orbital gatling, stalwart and guard dog. Cool vid
4:50 I feel like people give the incin breaker way too much flak for its ammo economy, I’ve seen a lot of people use the breaker incin like it’s a machine gun, and completely forget about the flame and the spread. You can get a crazy amount of damage off one pellet, like you could probably could have killed all the enemies at 10:10 with four shots and a two second wait (probably pop an extra one for the one doing the bug breach).
If you switch weapons when you pick it up, you throw it like that. Can be any switch, primary to secondary, secondary to primary, including support weapons, etc.
The shell must be slightly behind your character when you pick it up. Immediately after picking it up, swap weapons to fling the shell in your chosen direction
21:50 Bro the 500 hit the tentacle during its attack and just stopped in mid air. Thats insanely unlucky but I also feel thats like half of my deaths lol
20:11 Perhaps a flame guard-dog instead of a turret, surely that would bridge the range limitation, HOWEVER, we should consider the 'friendly fire nature' of the guard-dog
About the same time this video got uploaded yesterday, i was experimenting with my own first solo runs with a remarkably similar loadout I came up with myself at the time. Machine gun sentry, Strafing run, expendables and the jumppack + light scout armor and the reprimand. I managed to knock out a complete lvl 7 Operation in bugs first try with only a handful of deaths all around. Time to increase the difficulty I guess.
You should try out the orbital precision strike for bile titans, it still oneshots them and are deceptively easy to hit when the titan is just walking.
I’d love a turret that shoots stuns but from the front and not arced like the mortar. Need something for those chargers to stop destroying shit .2 seconds after it’s been dropped since we can’t put our TURRETS ON ROCKSS 🙃🙃
@@calebkelly8221moar emplacements pls A Super Mk. 19 GL, Super TOW missile launcher, Super M134 mounted minigun and Super SPG-9 recoilless AT gun would be sick
I like the regular machine gun turret because it lasts longer. need to throw it away from bug breaches tho. it doesn't care about range that much. n keep a gas in spare for chargers (gatling does defend itself against trash better tho) eats are good, but can leave you out to dry for extended times if u fuck up. still better than quasar for that charge up time tho. even railgun does better. aim longer lol 500kg has prob been shadow nerfed. not much, but its so inconsistent again. Might try orbital strike again. see if it kills bile titans again. I can see the occasional time the carbine is doin its thing, but most of the time i think even the standard liberator would work better. sickle 4 life :) (hell defender is one handed so you can run backwards and shoot hunters and sickle would be reload spamable with ammo pack and have the highest damage because of the accuracy factor. incin breaker would be mint here supply pack is great 4 solo. TLDR you seemed to have trouble killing the chaff fast enough to get out of the bug breach cycle.
I don't think the impaler attacking without seeing you is a glitch. It sees through the other bugs. If there are no bugs around you, it won't attack through walls, but it sees through the swarm
how do you know there's a SEAF in there? and the stalker lair too. your map was empty (not discovered) but you already seem to know where stuff is at. whats up with that?
6:25 I swear the 500KG is bugged or it got sneak nerfed or something. You're telling me two 500kg's that landed directly on the enemy DIDN'T kill it?? The bile titan's always been a bit finnicky but a charger not dying to a direct impact 500kg is ridiculous. Something similar has happened to me firsthand as well, I threw a 500kg into the middle of a shrieker nest (it was the layout where it was up on a hill and the nests where in the triangular pattern) and it didn't kill a single nest when it went off. I've also seen it one off directly in a brood commander's face and it didn't die. I don't know what is up, but AH really needs to take a look at it.
I'm pretty sure that the 500 only does damage upwards from the shell of the round, so when it direct impacts most of the damage goes up and misses the enemy entirely. Completely bullshit mechanic but its consistently bullshit
the commander starts running faster after you've broken one of his legs from what I can tell kinda weird they double their speed with less legs and won't stop that funky train behavior unless you kill em lol
The regular airstrike is the best anti-tank eagle the 500 is always been super inconsistent I absolutely hate taking it I always take the regular airstrike
I still think all the AR is not a good weapon, especially this carbine. If having the carbine means you need supply pack It means sacrificing a strategem slot and a backpack slot. This build works for sure, but 950 kills don't reward you extra, and focusing on getting those kills make this video seems stressful and a mission fail.
For vertical-ish throw you walk then pick it up and immediately switch weapons. When you run you throw it out further. Be careful tho sometimes it goes behind you. It just takes practice.
Shame on you for your nearly perfect snap-aim-shots. I usually take forever to aim with the expendables and miss the spot 2 out of 3 shots. So much so I don't even do solo anymore and rely entirely on SPEAR's auto-aim system.
I love that you added mission time to your HUD 😁
oh wow i didnt even know you could do this!
Back in my day (as in when the game launched), it was on by default. No idea why they changed it.
Which option is it in the HUD? Mission info visibility?
Is it normally disabled? I have mine on since day one no tweak needed
21:35 First the beacon bounced. Then, the 500 kg bomb itself hit one of the tentacles in mid air and stopped.
I've done it myself
Your timestamp is off you mean 21:35

I started bringing strafing run instead of Gatling barrage bc of this.

What do you use to close bug tunnles?
@ the eruptor or crossbow can close the bug holes from afar so you don’t need to use grenades or get close. Makes things very convenient
Ammo and damage is generous. I just don’t like that it’s not medium pen
I was experimenting with builds and found a pretty good one, medic armor with eruptor redeemer and thermite with 500kg, orbital gatling, stalwart and guard dog. Cool vid
You would like the crossbow too replcing the eruptor, it's great with stalwart as a primary weapon 👌
That was great run...impressive enough to get me out of my comfort zone with my permaloadout.

Facts. You've probably run into 8-15 hunters at a standstill and all you have to do is 1 tap each one. It's hilarious
Channeling the spirit of Samus Aran at the end there xD
that was the most stressful solo drop i've ever seen... good stuff!
500kg hitting a bile titan point-blank: "I sleep"
500kg hitting half a mile away from a sentry a single inch in its blast radius: "Real shit"

How do you throw the SEAF shells like that? Never knew we had optimized juggling.

It’s a fun unintentional mini game. I’ve had a harder time tossing them after the buff diver update though.

They gotta put a cooldown on the commanders charge, it’s more annoying than hunter pounce imo

When I fight alpha commanders, I only go for their legs, blowing off their heads and still attack me, legs got to go it slow them, and break quick
