Thank you so much for this episode. This is my current struggle with my 2 teenage boys. I love how you say, "It's messy." That's a perfect way to describe our current situation. Our biggest struggle is definitely managing appropriate screen time amounts. Yes, we are the parents and have the right to control and protect them from what they see. 🙏🏻❤️
My oldest daughter Casey got her wings at 23 in 2016 I have a younger daughter now grown age 25. I am 53 raising my oldest daughters now 10 it is the hardest task I've given. I struggle in so many ways. This is beautiful! And helpful.
Thank you for your originality, Justin. I love the way you said "everyone was misbehaving, including me"😂😂. So relatable!!! When I am expected to be the parent. God help us all. God bless you, FOTF and Justin
"Hospitality is not entertainment", i like that. Im a single male and have no family and the time's that people from church have invited me to dinner with their families have been some of the most memorable .times of my memories.
I love this podcast, and I would like to have every book in My library. I live in Colombia, how could I make a donation in orden to start getting every book?

The culture has done this to with see bad in other's. Jesus addressed this with the speck and the beam in the eye, and judgements are a important part of who the Lord is and His Righteousness.
I don't know, but I think the advantage to this tactic is that the guests have put in additional work besides lived experience towards the subject matter. Plus, the listeners can then go get the book or look at articles to go more in depth on the topic if they would like.
I agree with the previous reply. But also I think there might be other podcasts that offer what you are looking for. I actually really like that it is people who have written books.
I didn’t hear ‘how’ to cut down screen time. Did anyone else catch that? I really try to be a teachable person, but most of the parenting content I’ve come across is just not adding up for me. Your kid is acting crazy, but you’re suppose to talk to them gently like they’re not. I’ve found that counting down helps. Not disciplining or speaking with authority hasn’t helped.
It's not easy by any stretch of the imagination. I think the main thing to realise is that we won't be perfect all the time in this whole parenting thing, but as long as we are trying, we will get there eventually, by God's grace.
The grace to disciple our children in the midst of the mess. ❤
I like Focus on the family with Jim Daly

Why is it that Focus can't have any guests on about a subject unless they've written a book or are a psychologist or a counsellor ?

My guess: if the guest is serious enough to write a book on a subject, he or she certainly can provide a lot of valuable information in an interview.
:)
Sleeping is a religious activity and it's illegal and so is traveling without patronizing the automobile industry.
