Funnily enough, a race was organized a few weeks ago, during the Bol d'or (part of the world endurance championship) for adventure bikes, on circuit Paul Ricard - Castellet. The KTM leveled the field, with its 19" front.

Adventure bikes are often marketed as the ultimate do-it-all machines, promising both off-road capability and long-distance touring comfort. However, this seems more like a consumer-driven bubble. Most buyers never take these bikes to their full potential, using them mainly for commuting or light touring, far from the rugged adventures they're designed for. As this trend grows, the bubble may burst once consumers realize they don’t need such expensive, heavy, and over-engineered machines for their actual riding needs. Ultimately, the "adventure" label is more of a marketing tool than a practical necessity for the average rider.
I share that opinion, but this clearly isn’t an adventure bike, it’s a crossover like the s1000xr and those are the do it all road bikes although expensive
