When is the new Rebel 1100 getting a daily ride?
Yeah, please review the Rebel 1100.
Did they turn the radar on just for the demo? Not available to be activated yet in the US so I am told by the dealer.
I always wonder: How would the Ninja1000/Z1000SX stack up to the Versys 650 LT on your board? I ride a 2018 Z1000SX myself, but i have never ridden the Versys 650 (i have ridden the Z650 though, and i love it). MCN has for years given the "All Around Bike Of The Year" award to the Z1000SX/Ninja1000, so it is a legitimate question.
My Panigale V4 has a heated seat too... I just wish I could turn it off.
hahahah
Hahaha
I used to have a air cooled ducati monster. its lovely in the twisties but god fucking forbids you sit in the traffic for 5 minutes ... fried egg and sausage!
🤣🤣🤣
That feature was created by ktm lol
"This might be a 45 minute long episode"
Don't worry Zack, don't you worry at all.
you just let me worry about that zack. you bring me the content, and i'll decide what to do with it.
now if we could only convince the manufacturers to let zack and ari both have a loaner at the same time, so they can do a daily rider twofer.
Just 42 minutes.
Im noticing a theme. Zack loves sport touring/adventure bikes for daily riders. I think you should rank the V-Strom 1050 sometime soon.
Amen!
These kind of bikes are indeed very good for every day life, these bikes have a very broad spread of practicality and usability. I own a Kawasaki Versys 1000, and it's very good for multi-day touring, running errands, commuting, leisurely rides to nowhere, an Iron Butt ride, etc.
I can rank it from my garage: bloody excellent every day ride. :)
Tracer 900 GT
@@angelocardoc ah ha, that is my previous bike, just changed it for the Strom :)
They both get 10/10 as daily rides.
I'm usually not that into electronics on bikes, but that blind spot indicator is really nice feature and all bikes should have it.
We're still working on getting rid of flimsy, small mirrors.
@@jasonjayalap Even more the reason 🙂
Car owners don’t think a lot about having it, but on a bike it’s almost a game changer. You’d still shoulder check, but with more confidence
Check a 3rd party system called ride vision, not sure if it’s available in US thought
To be honest most of the electronics turn me off, and I've literally never needed a blind spot detector thanks to the ability to move my head, but it's one of those things that in spite of what auto makers make out, is insanely easy and cheap to install. I don't want any eletronics in the mirror/stalk though lol. but yeah, a few cheap sensor around the bike and some LED's in the dash isn't going to cost much or have any impact on people who don't want to use it ... so long as you can turn it off.
Bring back the Cool vs Expensive chart!
Ditto
This! We know opinions are different for each person (in terms of coolness) but its in relation to what YOUR opinion was so its easier to gauge. It was fun! Bring it back!
I actually found that systems to be very enigmatic? LOL
This bike could be in both sections. Cool AND expensive!!
I feel like the old Top Gear rules apply - it is a very cool bike, but it will be made uncool by the average owner
That was the Gold Standard of first ride videos! Also, a great introduction to the tech that many of us will probably have on our bikes in 10-15 years time.
I will never, EVER, get tired of Zack giggling like a child while doing wheelies and backing in a nearly 600lb motorcycle.
I gotta hand it to Ducati on that engine and finally getting rid of the pointless desmo system and hugely improving the service intervals. I know they still use desmo in most of their other bikes, but a big, adventure/touring motorcycle NEEDS those long service intervals and it was a brave step to bring this engine to market. This is an amazing machine, and an amazing motorcycle no matter how you feel about it.
Probably one of the best motorcycle reviews I have ever seen. Literally getting a complete functional reference for the thing....other than, y'know... actual seat time. Great work Zack
I thought I’d skip through most of a 40 minute review, but watched every bit! This bike’s truly remarkable! It’s almost in a class of its own.
The radar cruise control looks like an amazing feature! Hopefully that technology trickles down to more affordable motorcycles in the future.
This is one of my favorite channels for downright great information on bikes. I hope you continue to push out more videos.
Hi Zach, I watch a lot of your reviews and often think, I need to tell Zach he is doing a fantastic job. Well, I am telling you now. Good job 👍🏻
Its a great day when you get a new video from both Zack Courts and 44Teeth.
Zack's got a thing that's called radar love.
Showing my age, but I remember ‘Radar Love’ being over-played on radio. In fact I think it was on AM not FM radio too!
“I’ve been driving all night, my hands wet on the wheel…Its a half past 4 and I’m shiftin’ gear…ONE MORE RADAR LOVER GONE!” I’m feeling it baby!
The dirt section is my favorite part of every ride. Great work as always.
Hello from Northern England! Just wanted to say a big thanks for all your great videos Zach, you're such a cool dude. Keep up the brilliant work! Cheers, Ben
This is the first time I've seen this guy do a review, I think he did a really good job, very professional and lots of good information! Thanks!
Heated seats on a Ducati might be the most redundant feature ever.
Yes. It’s always a relief to fuel up the tank in the summer. At least my nuts get cooled off for 20 minutes or so.
OMG THAT’S FUNNY! They do run hot! (But not THAT hot). Crack me up tho.
The video image with Zack's face is exactly my expression when I saw it.. 42 minutes of good stuff coming up!
Loved this episode Zack, Any chance of a Desert Sled Daily Ride in the future?
Great ride and review. Makes me realize the end of my MultiStrada 950 riding days are near.
Zach, I love your videos so much. Please, never stop.
Awesome bike. Also I love you’re ride along reviews! They are very thorough and well articulated! This is definitely my newest favorite review channel. Keep up the
The constant giggles and sheer enjoyment of the Ducati speaks volumes above specs and features. The sheer joy this bike brought is enough to justify it's top ranking on the leaderboard 👍
Adaptive cruise control in cars are amazing, look forward to more bikes having the system 👍🏻
Great review Zac... Love that you ride through my old hometown of Pedro and PV area!
That chilldish giggle everytime the bikes you ride get silly, is what keeps me coming back to more of your vids hahaha. thats the feeling i chase. i need it in whatever i buy next
Mine is almost at my dealer, can't ride it for another 6 weeks anyway due to temperature and snow but I am very excited to get the bike. Ordered the day after it was released.
Excellent review, loving the Daily Rider series.
Any plans for an episode with the Kawasaki Versys 1000?
Great write-up and video, as usual from Zack. Actually surprised that it is living up to the specs. Ducati really stepped it up, as a road bike (with very light off-road use) at least. Very impressive bike, Ducati - I honestly can’t believe you pulled this off as well as you did! I think this makes the whole motorcycle industry better... I’m excited to see this tech trickle down to lighter, more efficient bikes. 10/10 giggle rating.
The giggles tell me that you are having way to much fun. :)
Well worth watching the additional length and oh, so much fun seeing you exercise the handling characteristics.
Zack your riding keeps me involved so much fun, keep them awesome reviews going......oh and forget that comm coming from Ducati
The laugh while turning onto the twisty road and accelerating was awesome!
Whooa whooa whooa whooa. How is your radar working and we who purchased and took possession of our bike were told the radar is not approved in the US yet?
I was wondering the same. 2 Ducati dealers have told me system not approved in US yet.
I love watching you test ride these bikes. You make it seem like so much fun! Your laugh is great it's like candy for the soul! You gotta have a cool wife and friends family. Have fun hope to see more videos. I like the serious Zack too.
Such a good show... Informative, fun, entertaining. Well done Mr Courts! Can't wait for the review of the new Speed Triple. It's on my short list for next bike.
Best test ride so far Zack!
The amount of laughter describes this bike completely.
All it really needs is a little tweak of the radar to detect speed traps and then it's perfect 😉
The heck with detecting radar, I'd rather jam it.
What a great review, thanks for making it. Awesome bike, no doubt. Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.
-17 degrees C (plus wind chill) here in Ontario Canada.... spent the morning outside skiing!
That adaptive cruise control and blind spot warning on a motorcycle is absolutely crazy to me such amazing features on a motorcycle
Just bought this bike - your review was critical in me getting over the fence line! I watched a bench other - this was so much more helpful! thank you!
Loving the tech on this bike, really impressive stuff. And great review of it (as always) 👍
Great review very much enjoyed watching your video thank you for sharing keep them coming.
Great review Zak 👍🏼 all ways entertaining
Love the long episode. Thanks 🙏❤️
Let's Go! Great episode of Daily Rider, so many laughs. Love it when you get excited by a bike.
A very important question and topic I’ve always listen/looked for when a UA-camr does a review and that’s “how does it ride for a person of our (6’2) height” THANK YOU! Plus I’ve always wanted this bike. It’s on my bucket list.
I love this bike. They fixed everything I didn’t like in my 2016 Multistrada Enduro. The bike begs to ride hard. I feel your giddiness.
Great test and really like the Q&A at the end
Has to be one of the best reviews i've seen...cheers
Great stuff as always Zach!!!
Great work you're knocking it out the park on bike reviews at the moment. Do you have any insight as to what the brake light does during adaptive cruise control deceleration?
The only ride where Zack had to twist the throttle less and worry more about the palm and feet hovering over the levers. Lol love the review mate!
Despite this being about the V4S specifically, it helped me decide on getting a Multistrada 950S (currently in the works).
Zach going sideways 90 mph in the dirt my god this dude is a beast 🏍😱
You just completely sold me on the little Versys 650!!
This might be a 45 minute long episode..
*42 minute video*
Zach you're a wizard!
What a ride, Zack! I know, its a tough choice, but... emotions beyond everything )))
Wow adaptive cruise control! Absolutely amazing. With todays technology, there are so many features I wish my bike had all wrapped in one.
I just wanna say I’m a new rider and love this channel. Love my R6. It’s life! 🏍
Be careful and take the time now to develop strong riding skills. They will save your life. And the r6 is fantastic, I got one last year as an downgrade from a tuono v4. Much more fun, and less stressful to ride. The R6 is more bike than the majority of us will ever be able to use 100% especially on the street. Enjoy it!
new rider + R6 = 🤔😬
@@diskreet Thanks and I’m going slow. I’ve had it since November snd haven’t been on the street yet. I have a friend teaching me to ride through the neighborhood and in empty parking lots. I also am taking the course in March. Love the way it feels man.
@@lukemiles1711 I sat on a R3 and it felt too light for my liking and I didn’t like the size and weight. Went with an R6 because it felt right for me. I feel good fam.
@@JustinHeilman Try a more upright bike and you will never look back bro. We all make the same dumb mistake and buy the sexy 600 supersport bikes, but they are track machines, not street machines. If all you do is ride around town for 30 min trying to look cool, then it's ok i guess. But if you start doing real riding for hours at a time you will realise how stupid your bike is. You can get more useable power, comfort and fun out of a more upright bike, especially with all the other bike choices available today. Good luck , stay safe.
Great review Zack!
Excellent review!
Great looking motorcycle with impressive features and a nice review. What is the V- logging set up you are using? I like the clear audio and perfectly fine video. Do you have a separate video with this setup explained? thx
One of your best reviews. I like it when you explain the features of a motorcycle. I'd like to see more indepth explainations of the mechanicles and why they are good? For example...why are Brembo calipers better than Nissin, or why the Goldwings new front suspension set-up is better than the previous set-up. You might need Ari's expertise.
You and Ari would make a great duo for the Daily Rider show. Doing side by side comparissons of similar bikes, like the Tracer 900 and the Turismo Veloce.
This segment of motorcycles is highly under rated. I call it the 'urban adventure' type of motorcycles. Perdomanitly street orientated but also able to tackle some urban terrian, like hopping over a curb or easily crossing railroad tracks and pot-holes..
Awesome review! My ktm1290s just got stolen so looking for a replacement
Always enjoy the reviews. This is why we need to have both an overall and a 'value' or 'reasonableness' bar instead of just a stack, because that thing will not be a better daily rider for the average person due to the cost. :)
Did you do a review on the 950 S multi-Strada can’t find it I like your reviews the best they’re great thanks
the features of this bike are astonishing. holycrap.
Great video! And I believe this is the first Duc I'd ever consider owning (if I could afford it). The service intervals are incredible alone.
Ducati might suggest to have extended service intervals, but these bikes have a wet clutch. Which means; the dirt/debris coming from the normal wear & tear of everyday riding, goes in the oil and distributed throughout the engine! Just that suggested service interval, would make the engine, wear out faster! (Shorter engine life)
Paying the retail price, (25k) means; you have the cash to do services more frequently! Make a good thing last!
Great review video. Will you guys do the klx300sm anytime soon?
That adaptive cruise control test just blew my mind. Also blind spot detectors. 🤯
I have never used or cared much about the adaptive cruise or blind spot in a car but on that bike it's really cool
I chose the Ducati Multistrada V4S & can't wait for delivery of it, go Ducati.
You sir are a complete and utter loon and that was the best bike review video I have ever watched. Awesome work, thank you!
Got mine ,just waiting for the crap weather to go before I can ride it ,fingers crossed another few weeks and I'll be getting it run in ,cant wait 😊
This is a fantastic video. Zach Quartz (Ha!) ladies and gentlemen. Let’s give it up for the man from Vermont!
How about including a Goldwing bagger in your daily ride comparison?!
I need this bike in my life!! Among others, still have a 2006 1100s in the garage.
I really like Zack. Great videos!
Awesome review Zac!
Incredible machine and another great video.
Cool honest review 😎☝️👍
Tired of waiting for mine to come in and hopefully soon cause I believe I've watched every video about this motorcycle. Good video thanks for making me drool more lol.
My BMW F900 has the turn by turn directions on the dash via an app on my phone. It works every time.
I think the issues you had are just Ducati specific.
Pretty much my dream bike, would love to commute to work on that thing man.
Amazing video🔥
Absolutely love this bike!!
Thanks for a great review
Wow!
Thats a lot of tech. BMW RT review in your future?
Indian Chief?
Lots to keep us entertained and informed coming in 2021!
Thanks 😊
The tech inside of this bike is amazing tbh not a bike fan but wow extraordinary.
excellent video...I really enjoy your style and presence
Zack do you have a link to the audio gear you use? Your audio is so good. Thanks!
I love Zack's reviews and always will, but if you're interested in seeing this bike truly pushed, hard, on and off road, Steve Kamrad's review is balls out incredible.
awesome off road session
Nice detailed review
11:15 welcome across the new Gerald Desmond bridge connecting Long Beach to Palos Verdes, up and over the Port of LB/LA. The old bridge is still below to the left, quite a sight for a few months.
Woah,, finally a bike to dethorne versys in the leaderboard. it was a tough one for sure.. appreciate your seriousness while evaluating bikes :-)
If just it wasn't so darned expensive....
@@BibtheBoulder so true... I am waiting to see CB500A in board :-)
If the score was divided by price and multiplied by fuel efficiency... But I think Zack appreciates power, even when commuting.
spoiler alert.....for some people
I gotta say too, when you backed this thing in, man you slid like you were surfing! It was truly inspiring to hopefully one day have the skills to slide around like one sleek bad man on a motorbike hah
