DELUGE WAVETABLE SYNTHESIS
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 чер 2024
- In this video, we explore the new WAVETABLE SYNTHESIS features added to Deluge in firmware 4.0 . These features enable users to load wavetable audio files into an oscillator and modulation position of the waveform. This means much more dynamic and evolving sounds are possible on Deluge.

Shout out to Synthstrom Audible for continuing to add awesome features to Deluge!
Bot-Top......press select. AT THIS POINT- how do you go into having the waveforms showing? You didn't have to select a folder?? How does this part work for selecting a folder after BOT-TOP? Thanks
@@rustikinc63 It remembers the last folder that was selected. I navigated to the Wavetable folder I created on the SD card and it remembers this the next time you go to import a file. Hope that helps.
-Deluge- "Deluge."
@@danielcarr8023 nice.
Amazing video, mate! Gonna have to dig in more now that it’s out!
Hi , I'm waiting for a full tutorial with a masterpiece remix. No pressure :)
True Cuckoo has a great video on the Hydra Synth which has 'polyphonic aftertouch'. Now, the Deluge has "ployphonic aftertouch"
Korg Wavestate has these parameters
Cuckoo!! Thanks for checking out my channel.
Dude, great video. Thanks for doing it and for sharing the software w/ premade stuff, because that is gonna lead to some FUN
Thanks!
great video! And some simple, clear and qucik instructions. Just what I need, thank you very much! :) This update is gonna be a BLAST. Super excited!🤓
Thanks! Yeah, lots of cool features added. Have fun!
This is deep into the guts of the machine. The control pathways are inevitably a bit convoluted as a retro fitted function but even my tiny brain could follow you. Thank you. Glad of the humour to sweeten the pill
Thanks. Glad it helped.
Awesome UPDATE, thank you! Updating right now.
Enjoy!
Excellent. I experimented with wavetables while beta testing, but so mich more fun to be had
Thanks! Yes, lots of fun and experimentation to be had.
Great content ollie loops!!!!
Thanks!!
So glad you did a video on this... I've been really excited for Wavetables on the Deluge! The implementation looks pretty good too... I'm really impressed!
Your video is top notch also - clear and to the point! Awesome!
Thanks! It’s an exciting feature to be added to Deluge.
Bwahaha! That intro was hilarious 😂😂😂
Thanks!
Oh my geez! This is great!
Thanks!
Spot on intro. I cannot pronounce the darn product name either. And I have heard numerous tries on UA-cam. But the 4.0 seems promising. Have only played with eucliean mode etc so Wavetable is next up when I start to dig in to the internal synth at all (only midi so far).
Thanks!
Excellent Ollie. Great update. Do u have any links for Wavetable files out there...Its all new to me. Cheers
Thanks, check out the description. There’s a few links there. Synthstrom also lists some on there forum.
Yeah I will continue to call my baby "Delooj", he's french I won't question him 🧐
Nice!
Thanks for the video. Is it just me or does it seem like the positional Lfo seems a little on the slow side? I guess maybe the cycle speed of the wave is a factor.
It could be. It is an LFO. I wonder if that can be adjusted.
So what's the Wavetable button on the grid for? Wouldn't that be an easier way to load in files?
The shortcuts take you to the wavetable parameter pages (osc 1 & 2).
Hello Ollie! I've updated to 4.0 ... Then downloaded and unzipped the wavetables and put them on my desktop in a a wavetable folder. Then simply dragged and dropped the folder onto my SD card. I cant seem to find them on the Deluge after following your steps. What do you mean by "Single Cycle Folder"?...... thank you kindly in advance!
samples need to be in samples folder on sd
The suggestion is to place your wavetable files into a dedicated wavetable folder and place that within your samples folder on the SD card. This should keep them organized and separated from other samples. I hope that helps.
@@OllieLoops Thank you Ollie Loops for being more specific. Much appreciated good sir!
I own a deluge and it does so much. My brain hurts.
I'm originally a guitarist who got sucked into Synths, and there's so much jargon. My poor brain
There is a bit of a learning curve with this device. But you can go bit by bit and learn things relevant to your music workflow. And then build from there. I hope that helps.
So, are you gonna update your browser or nah?
Nah
WON-DER-FUL !
Thanks!
Yeeeee333333ssss$$$$$
Yup!
dallooooosshh
Close enough.
“Dellyuje”
Yes, that.
I didn't undestand anything except daily huge.
Not your fault though. I'm just a synthesis noob.
Hopefully you learned something. Thanks for your comment.
@@OllieLoops i think i need to do more research on the wavetable thing because for me there is too much to learn at once in this short video, and english is not my native language so it's kinda overwhelming sometimes. But yeah, keep up the good work !
@@TheLordTimi I understand where you’re coming from. Wavetable synthesis is more of an advanced concept and having an understanding of subtractive synthesis is key. There’s a lot of great resources out there on that topic. And you can always return to this video and concept.
@@OllieLoops Indeed. Thanks 🙂
@@OllieLoopsLike you said, now that i've learned how things work a little bit more and have been experimenting subtractive synthesis basics, I'm back here to this video. Feeling ready for this haha
the whole pronunciation thing on this device is ridiculous . where ever your from is how you say the word Deluge , as in a torrential downpour of rain . similar to how different place pronounce garage , just depends on where your from and doesn’t even matter. i personally pronounce it in the more French manor like the winter downhill sport of the Luge instead making the G sound like J like most youtubers do .
Great point. Thanks for sharing. I’ll figure it out one day.
