  • I've had the OLED retrofit to my Synthstrom Deluge for a little while now, but I haven't done a Deluge-centric video since getting it... until now! I was a bit skeptical of the OLED screen and loved the oddly low-tech charm of the original 7-segment display, but now that I've had the retrofit done, I don't think I could go back. It doesn't add new functionality, but instead makes the existing functionality much easier to visually comprehend and appreciate. The Deluge continues to (justifiably) be my favorite piece of standalone music production gear!

Here's where I downloaded the Amiga samples to put on my Deluge: archive.org/details/AmigaSoundtrackerSamplePacksst-xx
If you have a Digitakt, Red Means Recording (who I mention in the video) put together the Amiga sounds into projects for the Digitakt: redmeansrecording.gumroad.com/l/amigatakt

Thank you! My goal really is to demystify the Deluge, so I'm glad to hear that feedback.

If i wanna buy it to compose with 432/444hz and i provide samples.
Do you see any potential drawbacks or downgrades limitations coming up?

I don't, in terms of its functions. The Deluge is a great "do-it-all" device, its real drawbacks are that the interface and UI can be a bit overwhelming at first blush (it takes a bit of time to get used to), and the price.

Interesting. Say, how many bars can a pattern be?

I don't know the exact maximum (I've never hit it) but I've had patterns that lasted multiple minutes, so the maximum length is at least far more than I ever need.
