JayveeTV The entire album is awesome I can’t wait for you to listen to more of their songs 🤗🤗🤗 I rewatch some of your reactions and the first one I laugh when you said when you were first ask you didn’t know they were a group now your loving them 😍😎
That’s a beautiful song! I listen to a lot these days. Kenny Logins sings a song called, “I’m Alright” lol, it is good. I’m all over the apartment when I listen to that one.
This is actually the album that sitting on the top of my physical playlist LOL! I have a playlist but I have to lift about 30 albums to get through it LOL
So the so "GOOD VIBES" dear JayveeTV Who seems to appreciate 'Bread' so truly Can, if he so chooses, next bring to us "IT DON'T MATTER TO ME" , oh so yus ... (yes) Such very full and so nice chunky lips and a sexy nose We just watch in which way his musical direction goes.
an absolute incredible songwriter and man..........made his money and got out of the city .... quit and moved to comfort in the country on his 1500 acres....with his child hood friend, high school sweetheart and Wife ,Jo Rita, that he married in 1959.........this was a hit in 1971..... they have been together 61 years now.......their 4 sons are heart surgeons and Executive Legal Advisors ............cheers
Damn,....not many Rock stars have marriages that came before fame, and then survive the fame.......must be a solid dude,..because it is always the star who falls to the immediate and abundant temptations and destruction of fame and finally being wealthy...Cheers.
BTW, there are a few videos on UA-cam with him discussing music topics with a few people recently. His wife is also with him.... Here's one: ua-cam.com/video/945Ngc7QbkQ/v-deo.html
@Faye Varble My condolences to you too. It's hard, but as I lost Tom just over 20 years ago, I can attest that it does get easier. You place them in a special place in your heart and when you visit them it's with the happy times, not the sad. Another little routine I have. I tell him out loud about my day every night. Sometimes I feel him so close I wait for his breath. It's cathartic and has helped me over the years. We'll see them again. I truly believe that with all my being.
@@pamking357 Thanks for your thoughts Pam. I'm sorry you too know how it hurts to lose them. You are so right about music. Crazy! One of the songs we had at our outdoor, hippy-like wedding was In The Summertime by Mungo Gerry! That one makes me smile when I hear it now. God bless.
That's right, J. it was "short and sweet" back in the day. No wasted notes. No wasted words. You would have loved being the age you are now back then. It was a heady time with the greatest music ever created. Thanks for bringing so many of those great songs to the current consciousness.
I really love that you're reacting to Bread!!! Diary is the next sound you should react to. Other popular Bread songs are IT DON'T MATTER TO ME, BABY I'M A WANT YOU, SWEET SURRENDER and AUBREY. Also the David Gates solo song, GOODBYE GIRL.
Im very surprised that someone your age is into all our slow 70s music. I can see your appreciation for the awesome poets we had back then as well as the amazing vocal talents. I still have this album! The next Bread song should be MAKE IT WITH YOU
@@JayveeTV I would like you to dig up on Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. They played some big venues back in the late 70's,and have been praise by many good guitarists like Zakk Wylde, Jhonny Winter, Steve Vai and so on. They could paly, blues , jazz rock fusion, psychedelic rock and on. here' a sample ua-cam.com/video/MWyTXOCtBaA/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/opVpTkoCCeo/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/zw_MEs0xOAg/v-deo.html
Another one I heard a million times but never really heard it when I was young. Very odd how many have that effect. Peace to you, my friend, and stay completely safe! PS it's great to see a little tear hiding with you. My dad did that and it's really endearing. Thank you for brightening this cold world, Jayvee!
“If” is one of my top three favorite love songs of all time. So touching. Thank you for reacting. You won’t go wrong with any Bread or David Gates song. 💗💜💗
Say J., I've heard you make that comment before about the song being short. It's true, a lot of listeners thought the exact same thing. The reason is at that time most stations playing this music were AM Starions. Almost all songs were under 3 minutes. The reason that artists made them short was because DJ's wouldn't play them unless they were. To get in more ads the stations wanted short tunes. So if you wanted your song to play, you had to go with the program. When FM Stations started playing Rock, they would play longer songs so that's when Artists started giving their tunes a little more length. Now, just like then, it's always the mighty dollar that makes the rules. Just wanted you to know why the songs were short. Keep up the good work my friend.
Beautiful song and performance. I’m glad you appreciate it too😀. Too many older pieces and performances are too good to be forgotten. It’s great that you’re helping to keep them out there!
"Diary" should be next - what a heartbreaking song, yet ends with such grace. In addition to David Gates, James Griffin also has a beautiful singing voice. "Look What You've Done" is a wonderful song in which he is the lead vocalist.
This has to be one of my favorite songs from David Gates. By the way, I think you do an awesome job reacting to the songs on your channel. I would like to humbly request a song by Jim Croce, "Time in a Bottle." He was a singer-songwriter who died way before his time in a plane crash. He had a fantastic voice; I think you will like his music. Take care
Ill be 52, Lord's will, in Sept 2024. Born Sep '72. I like to think my mom n dad listened to this song together often, when they were still together, still in love, and planning me and my little brother.
I sang this beautiful song on my husband and I 30 year wedding anniversary. We have now just celebrated our 52 year married. We started dating in 1966.Bread! and the 70's and so much heart felt music❤
This video doesn’t apply, but you praise the vocal quality of artists in “the old days”, you’ll notice a lot of artists then weren’t pretty. You didn’t have to look good or have big dance moves. There were no music videos. You got your contract for your musical ability. Now it’s more about a look and not ability.

I picked my business name from that song. 💕
My favourite!
My wedding song in 1977. Beautiful.
His songs are all about the beauty of love. How could anything be better than that?

Bread are thorough-breads - quality & class through & through.

Bread - Yours For Life
Aubrey & Goodbye girl are good also.
Other great Bread songs you should react to are Aubrey, Baby I'm-a Want You, It Don't Matter to Me and Make it With You 🌻
Love “Baby I’m a want you.” Beg them all for it- as well as “lost without your love.”

You are 100 percent correct.😃
Please- “Baby I’m a want you” and “Lost without your Love.” Those are a must, pleeease! 💟☮️✌️
Yes yes yes!!!
Lost Without Your Love is one of my all-time favourite songs.
In my opinion one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Now you have to do longer by Dan Fogelberg.
Also: "MIssing You" by Dan is excellent.
I second Dan Fogelberg Longer!
Auld lang syne, longer than , leader of the band by Dan Fogelberg
Yes! Longer!
Yep, "Longer"!!!
You should really hear The Hollies-Air That I Breathe!!! It's fantastic!!
oh yes that's a great one!
This song is devastatingly beautiful.
Please add "Aubrey" to your list of Bread songs to react to - you won't be sorry!
Yes please... Been begging for Aubrey. I love all Bread songs, but Aubrey does something to my soul

Mmmmh, dear TANTRUMGASM .... mmmhhhmmm to the beauty of the truth you speak.
Yea his songs were just like they were sent from Heaven. And it seems he's had a wonderful rewarding blessed life from the Lord.
I highly recommend listening to David Gates on his own singing Goodbye Girl. That is one of my faves.
Me too!
This was one of my husbands favorite songs. We had it sung at his funeral. Sort of sad to hear it now.
wow i'm so sorry for your loss
I’m so sorry for both of you I lost my husband nine years ago and music brings back so many memories 💕

There is no music that can beat the 70s music!
Besides 60s
The music of the 1970s were the best to me, but the 1960s-1980s were all pretty great decades for music.
David Gates' voice is amazing! Bread still has several more hits: "Diary," "It Don't Matter Me," "Baby, I'm-a Want You," "Lost Without Your Love."
The great David Gates and Bread with "IF". GREAT CHOICE FOR A REACTION... 1971 JAYVEE BEAUTIFUL..✌
Bread
1. Look what you've done
2. Diary
3. Baby I'm a want you
4. Aubrey
5. Lost without your love
6. Goodbye girl
7. Part time love
How bout that CLASSIC LINE...."And When My Love For Life Is Running Dry, You Come And Pour Yourself On Me."....WOW!!!
The male counterpart to Karen Carpenter. Silky smooth.
Baby I'm-A Want You, one of my favorites by them
I’ve begged so many reactors for it!!

"Aubrey" by Bread
DIARY is definitely Breads best song! Listen very closely to the lyrics.
Lost Without Your Love, is another really good/smooth mellow song, from Bread!
This song is perfect. Telly Savalas of Kojak fame had a hit with this song here in the UK, in the 70s.
Bread, one of the best sounds of the 70's. Try It Don't Matter to Me and Games of Magic
I sang this song at our graduation! The girl scheduled to sing got laryngitis and I volunteered to sing. Beautiful song!
i still know all the words :)
I bought the album recently. Their greatest hits album.

If, by far is Bread's best song. A comparable song, that is just as awesome is I Love You by Climax Blues Band in 1981.
Good job. Privileged to have lived through the 70s. Some Minnie Riperton, Loving You or Randy Crawford when you have time. Xx
Baby I'm a want you, very mellow and soothing.
Aubrey
Diary - tearjerker

More emotion from this 2:37 second song than most songs of our time...amazing reaction..agree! And it was Live!!!
Too short! :). That’s because they wanted their songs played on the radio, so producers tried to keep acts to songs under 3 minutes if possible.
I LOVE this song. Thank you Jayvee!
