New Yorker here - It’s a nice apartment, great view and seems like great amenities but you could have definitely found a 1 bedroom in a quieter neighborhood (not in midtown) with sound proofed, double paned windows, for the same price. I think the folks who constructed your building did not put any effort/money into sound proofing the windows. Word of advice, while the views are nice for the famous buildings etc, it’s best to make your home area in NYC one that IS NOT in the touristy areas (midtown/close to 6th Ave) if possible. 60k a year in rent money you will never get back. Now imagine living with mom and dad and saving for 4 years...thats 240k that could be used as a down payment for a dream home
240K down payment cannot get you a dream home no more. In LA (less than SF), a decent looking house is 1.7 million dollars. That is 340K down for 20%, and that not counting closing costs. Hence why I left CA, but even in the mid-west, still cannot afford a home even at 85K a year salary.

Broker fees are not a scam, agents are 100% commission and so if you sent her there then that was technically her pay for doing the work, though it doesn’t seem like she did much. But when I search for apartments in NYC I always ask is there a broker fee, if they say yes I decline to work with them cause I can find my own apartment. FYI (some buildings require a broker though)
Hello from Phoenix Arizona very nice department. I don’t know much about New York City. I’ve only been there a couple of times. But man for that money, you can have a beautiful home with a big swimming pool here in Phoenix. The only thing that would scare me about living in New York if something goes down, there’s no getting out of there imagine the power going out for a week I’ll hell with brake loose people would go berserk.anyway it’s beautiful. The gym is cool too since I work from home I don’t mind having people around when I go to the gym because I’m so isolated at home all day. Thanks for sharing your place with us.
I am a native New Yorker and this is why I moved out of New York- people who will spend anything for almost nothing. I just hope my current place will never be " cool". I laughed when he said " it's a no brainer" Yeah, no brain!
Loved hearing you talk about your list of criteria is so relatable and helpful: figuring out what's most important to you. - I went through the same thing and found a great place on the UES. Love NYC
Why the rooftop? In the summer its too hot in the winter too cold. I rented a similar apartment but didn't even look out to the skyline after a couple of days cause nothing really happens..same buildings around :D...had the same problem with the massive noise coming from the cars in NYC :D
High amenity buildings have their OWN leasing offices. You never need an agent for this type of building. People should Google before coming to town! Try something like: "high rise amenity building rentals New York" and you'll see a ton of options.
I pay $2500 here in SF for my studio slightly bigger with a view as well. No amenities, tho, or rooftop access, also more oudated esthetic wise. 5k for a studio is lowkey wild, but it's very nice 👍 nice content!
I live in NYC uptown Manhattan at Bennett avenue and I pay $1,300 two bedroom master room and a small room, a bathroom and dinner and a big living room two halls and a big kitchen, and three walking closet and is on the first floor…I love it because the place is so quiet close the Precint 34, Restaurants everywhere, school, church and a train station across the street etc. walking take me 10 minutes to the cloister park where lots of people coming to relax, this is the reason why I don’t leave NYC because everywhere that you go it’s getting more expensive!!!!…NYC
The exact same thing happened to me when I moved to New York (I too came from a Spanish speaking country). I'm sure you can get a 1 bedroom for 5K with the amenities you're looking for. If not, a cheaper studio for sure

I’m a few blocks from here and pay the same amount but have a 1000 square-foot deck with a gas grill overlooking an amazing view, I think you could do better for that price. The gym is fire though.
adorei as areas de armazenamento inteligente. E tem 2 armários enormes!
Brother they are ROBBING you, 5k is DEVIOUS. 😂
He ain’t the one paying for it lol
Try some bose noise cancelling sleep buds. They're great for noise. I have 5 kids and have to get up early for work.
Power to you brother, but with all due respect as a born and raised true New Yorker , YOURE BUGGING MY G 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the tour. Great advice about the scammers.
$5k for a noisy shoebox…yeeeah, no thanks
Nice video. I currently live in a 1 bedroom Apt in Atlanta. Saw some nice ideas in your video that my be applicable for furnishing my apartment here.
I only clicked because you're hot, but loved the transformable table and adjustable desk. Good use of space, beautiful window view, and hot body...
Glad you enjoyed and thank you for the comment 😂
Hello from Phoenix Arizona very nice department. I don’t know much about New York City. I’ve only been there a couple of times. But man for that money, you can have a beautiful home with a big swimming pool here in Phoenix. The only thing that would scare me about living in New York if something goes down, there’s no getting out of there imagine the power going out for a week I’ll hell with brake loose people would go berserk.anyway it’s beautiful. The gym is cool too since I work from home I don’t mind having people around when I go to the gym because I’m so isolated at home all day. Thanks for sharing your place with us.
$5,000 for a studio?? Fam you wild asf for that.
I am a native New Yorker and this is why I moved out of New York- people who will spend anything for almost nothing. I just hope my current place will never be " cool". I laughed when he said " it's a no brainer" Yeah, no brain!
i love the use of the space. i live in a small apartment too. this gave me some ideas
Loved hearing you talk about your list of criteria is so relatable and helpful: figuring out what's most important to you. - I went through the same thing and found a great place on the UES. Love NYC
as someone who grew up in NOLITA on a very busy street, you get used to the noise. it just fades away into the background.
I also have a roborock s8, but I don't use it everyday.
Thanks for the tour of your great apartment, that huge closed is very rare. Good luck finding a quiet place.
For the noise problem u can try white noise like buying a small van
I lived in NYC for a few years and loved it. My last appt was on a high for and yes heard noise also. But I loved it . Enjoy your app'nt.😅😅
Play some nice white noise out of a surround sound speaker. It'll feel really nice for sleeping and cover any noise
I do that already actually! Thunder storm noises
Why the rooftop? In the summer its too hot in the winter too cold. I rented a similar apartment but didn't even look out to the skyline after a couple of days cause nothing really happens..same buildings around :D...had the same problem with the massive noise coming from the cars in NYC :D
If I’m not mistaken, the gym room is the one where Matteo Lane filmed a video !!!
Nice apartment :) I liked the minimalist style, I bought a new apartment in DR and thats how i want it to look like
I love the studio! I like the design of the furnitures.
Thank you for sharing. Nice apartment, but the price is a little much. I to have issues with noise.
I missed my $2200 box apartment in Lenox Hill. It was a gem..
I’ve been searching for this table for almost a year
