she will never have to go to the gym with thise stairs! so happy in such a small place knowing it’s not forever. good luck in the future., i’m amazed that you all speak such good english. 🌸
This is an adorable place and yes the view is unbeatable. Wow. I personally could never share a toilet with my neighbors and too bad for me. I think it's well worth it for the price and charm. Best of luck to her!
I can see she has made it home. For me, this would be very difficult living. There is also no way I could share a toilet. Tbh, this flat is verging on illegal 😢😢
There is a similar law in France but it applies to new buildings and renovation if possi le. If they had to tear down all the old buildings that cannot get an elevator, Paris would become pass from oppressively over packed to empty.... Then there is probably an elevator in that building, just not on the side of the maids’s and they don’t want to take space from one of the nice large flats to create a corridor and let her access the elavator.
I stayed in an Airbnb in Paris last summer that was small like this on the top floor with no lift. I felt like I was training for the Olympics. It was well appointed with its own bathroom w/ a toilet.
Actually saw a video of a French student paying her chambre de bonne in an even more expensive neighbourhood, which room was in a better state, recently refurbished, 350 euros per month and she was also entitled to housing pension on top.
@davidignaz No. That's pretty common that the chambre de bonne are used to rent to students, many are rented through the CROUS which manages the state scholarships and allows students to get cheap accommodation and cheap food. Basically a student bedroom in Paris can be found between 300~700 euros depending on where they rent. Then on top the students eligible to the housing benefits, which is granted or not depending on their family's revenues, will get it and the amount will depend on their family revenues. Some students even pay no rent after the housing benefits deduction. Most students in the Greater Paris live inside Paris proper.
It’s not a house, it’s a so-called „chambre de bonne“. It’s where the servants used to live back in the days. Nowadays they are often rented out to students who are on a tighter budget.

Yes even I felt it after going up one time haha. Thank you for your kind comment🙏🏻
@ i enjoy seeing how other people live. thank you for taking the time to film these videos.🌸
@@saritaschwedes8393 sharing a toilet with other tenants would bother me more than climbing stairs.
@ yes for sure!! 😳
Yayyyy, love it ! Thanks for coming in ☀☀☀
It was my pleasure! Thank you for letting me tour your apartment :)
Love your apartment great price for location. You should make a UA-cam channel showing your photography and cooking and Parisian living.
@@kellymeggie Great idea!
I enjoyed this video. I admire the command of the English language of both of you.
Thank you for your kind comment, I‘m glad that you liked the video :)

Thanks for your comment Maria!
OMG! The toilet is located quite far!
Most inconvenient!
Yes it’s definitely a sacrifice that you make!
love it!! ❤
Thank you!

Oh no. Thats pretty reasonably legal for Paris standards
@Evantailsacre not even a toilet! Shocking!
@@imsk6729 Very usual in the city of love! Almost all buildings have a room or more like this that share a toilet.
That's not a flat that's a bedroom. You can't rent bedrooms smaller than 9 m² livable space in France which is more than what we see in the US.
@Evantailsacre sorry but its dreadful. Nothing changes that. Dreadful.
It’s probably cold in winter because there is little or no insulation ……but a nice little place ! ❤
Yeah under the roof you get both extremes, cold and hot
I prefer laws in the USA where any building over three stories has to have an elevator. Three stories is enough exercise. 😅
Oh I didn’t know about this law! That’s good to know, thanks for sharing :)

It’s definitely a good challenge every single day haha. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Paris!
You could have a combination microwave/oven both in one apliance
Good idea🙏🏻
шум от улицы и жара летом , может показаться пыткой))
I think the noise is not too bad at her place. The heat in summer is definitely an isseu since she is living right under the roof
7 floors without elevator? No, merci! Even if it is close to the Tower Eiffel! And the toilette is not included into the room? Double no
Did you say 7 floors??????? WOW
yes, 7th floor!

She is the luckiest student in Paris then! :)

How much is the rent in US dollars monthly?
About 520$
Way too tiny, I'd go nuts there.
Pretty common for students in Paris :)
Basically she's everything and nothing, great.
Or she is all of what she described :)
that can't be considered a house, wtf.

Id just get a bucket to use i fill it up dump it into the toilet
That’s one way to do it😂
Nope. Need a loo. Get claustrophobia. Paris is nice, but nope.
She speaking English with an a silly influencer accent.
Not a nice thing to say to someone whose first language isn't English.
