Pretty epic intro footage, some B roll that never has made any of the hunting videos that I have watched Seasons 1-7, along with some familiar footage. Was cool seeing all of them playing in that flooded area, never seen that shot before. Way to integrate that E-Scouting segment from last year as well. Goes to show that you find elk where they are, when they are. I know it is the year of the elk and I would love to go, but that may not happen for me at least until next year or the year after, but I enjoy learning and putting together a broader knowledge base so when I do have that opportunity I will be able to make the most of it. Thanks for sharing. My youngest brother like I mentioned before sounds like he is subscribing to the other theory of "Mule Deer are where you find them" for this hunt of his in Idaho. I am trying to help and encourage some e-scouting the area we will be in and know what and where to look for them in that Oct.10-18th time frame aka Pre-Rut, but he told me he is just going to start at the highest elevations, drive around, put on miles and glass. I know that is part of the hunt, but I would rather him have more of a plan and spots to check out and go through plan A-Z if he has to than rely on random luck. He usually finds whitetails quite often back at home, so we will see. Looking forward to the next short breakdown of the period where Michael P will be hunting in Wyoming with the weight of the Fresh Tracks Enterprise on his shoulders haha ... and that is the pre-rut, a very interesting sounding period of the elk calendar indeed.
Your videos are fantastic. It has helped me out a lot for my next elk hunt. The only problem I have is rolling hills, private, lots of water everywhere. What would you do?
Best source of elk hunting info on the web
Fantastic, love the graphic. Great it to see it all laid out. Thanks, Randy!

Thank you Randy Id love to hunt with you
So did he say what kind of food they eat?
C'mon, Randy... we all know... the elk are where the Dilly Bars are. When you're munching those, you're shooting elk.
