@@kirstencook1439 Love hearing from you! 😘 The last day of an estate sale is always exciting. It was surprising that there wasn’t a long line. Was anxious to get those candleholders. And, the birthday girl got her breakfast in time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video ... great idea to show both days! Please update us on your beautiful compote when you are able. Oh and I started watching My Take on Home and Garden thanks to your suggestion in another video ... he's a hoot!
Interesting to know. In Germany, they don't have estate sales either. Usually, there is a flea market seller that comes in and buys everything to resell.
The artisan pottery mug you showed us in the beginning appears to be Mara Mexico. Her work is highly collectible. If it is Mara, it will be signed on the bottom. So many gorgeous items at this sake. Thanks for taking us along!
I collect double/triple candle holders & those were so expensive...even the milk glass! I'm lucky, I don't pay more than $5.99 per holder(if that). The linens were beautiful! Would love to have gotten a few of those & the silver
I collect miniature shoes...wow...I go to estate sales that have collections like that collection...I've noticed the lady who collects dolls (I do not) collect the miniature shoes...
Nice items. Plates were priced so high though, not surprising they didn't sell. I went to a garage sale this weekend and bought some pressed/etched glass items. A glass box which looks like it could've been a cigarette holder and some napkin rings. Wanted a small bowl but felt that$6 was high. Went onto a charity resale, bought a platter for $2 and a little etched glass basket for$3, much more my prices
I love your new cake stand, Lady Mary Beth. Is it bigger than the other one that you bought recently? The Christmas china is fun. It sort of reminds me of Nikko's Christmas pattern. Do you remember the name of the maker of your friend's pink cup & saucer? It looks very much like one that my mother had (which I now have), in mint green, same flowers, which was made by Colclough China. Thanks for showing us these lovely pieces, Lady Mary Beth. P.S. You must have been up very early -- especially if you still had breakfast to make! 😄
This is the cake stand I showed in the livestream. It's huge! Good eye on the Christmas china! It is Nikko "Happy Holidays". I will ask my friend about her pink demitasse. Yes, got up super early to get ready to head to the sale. My daughter wanted to wake up to breakfast. Felt kind of bad, but the timing worked out. Had everything prepped and ready. It was a great day, even if I pushed the envelope that morning. Had to go! I went to bed dreaming of the candleholders.
@@LadyMaryBeth That cake stand is magnificent, Lady Mary Beth, and what a price. I've never seen one as large. Thanks for asking your friend about her cup & saucer. I could be wrong about it being Colclough, but the shape and the flowers, gold, etc. are all the same as my mother's, except for the colour. I hope your daughter had a lovely birthday, and I'm sure she would have enjoyed her breakfast very much. Hope you're having a good week so far.
