show, congratulations, beautiful Volkswagen Beetle and beautiful engine.
Great job, love how that dyno video sounded. Must be a mean machine 😎
Beautiful cars and great work . Wow
Ein Traum von einem Käfer!👍
Beautiful car and awesome engine. Must be a screamer
Thanks!!

@Case Kyle Glad I could help xD
amazing work
So sweet!! 😍
music sound like the start of girls in love
nice bug!
Nice I really like the 911 fan shroud, but 914 motor or vw bus motor 🤔 lol sorry back in the day I would chuckle at 914 owners. Every part I ever put on a 914 was for a vw from vw lol
It’s a orginal GB 2.0 casting, 1974 compression was 8.0 : 1, also the heads are orginal 2.0 Porsche (3 studs) the 914 castings have more or less magnesium (can’t remember) because they have a mid engine configuration! Real VOPO stuff this time!! 🚗
amazing work 🍺🍺
Motor do fuscão e show
Very nice car you seem to know what you're doing only thing is I don't know if I would have my car running on ramps with the oil going to the back part of the motor...
Well it’s a German car and they have mountains! Oil pomp is twice a big as a normal 914 and also there’s a big oil cooler in the front! Dry sump would be better that’s right but I’m still driving it today👍🏻 what can I say? It’s a Volkswagen
nice
beautiful... love it... would love to do something like this to my '66 .. currentlly running a 1600... would you start there or use a completely different engine?? cheers again love it!!
Type 1 is perfect, but I like type 4 engine’s, look on AA PISTONS, they got nice stroker kits! Good luck 🍀
Is this bug Yukon Yellow?
very nice Engine, I was just wondering ,that this engine is heavier then a Type1 engine, there is a lot of extra weight on the four gearbox bolts to hold it place. would it not benefit having a engine mount bar on the front of the engine ,to give more support . or does hold the weight as it is .
No problem at all, oil cooler is in the front, fiber cooling shroud, 914 type 4 casting is also more magnesium than the type 1 AS41 I believe? Those few extra kilo’s is no problem at all! 👍🏻
Hi
I like it !
I would like to know the price of such en engine (ball park)
it depends, between 5 and 15k, but if you use original porsche parts like me, you will sooner go towards 15k (euro) this kind of horsepower can be built for much less (type 1 engine instead)
Very nice looking bug.. love the stance.. Do you know what size tires you have on the rear? Take care my friend....
205/70r15 In the rear (toyo) 135/80r15 in the front (toyo tyre also, model is 310) rims are 4j front end 5,5J back! Brm quality replica’s Good luck !! 🤜🏻
Sorry 4,5 j in the front
There are two cracks in the cylinder head at the spark plug threaded hole. At 00:13 and 00:15. Did you repair those?
Yes, I did, the heads are totally refurbished and made high compression! Please see the movie of milling the heads from stock to 2.3 liter with the 9.3: 1 compression
Also new valve guide’s and stainless Porsche 914 valve’s 42mm intake en 37mm exhaust
Dope! Header, where did you purchase those? Or were they custom made.
TT exhaust UK made! Nice sound,Nice performance, beautiful welds!
What transmission that you have?
Long beetle transmission(AO) 4 speed , ratio 8:31, gene berg clutch disc, Kennedy stage 1 pressure plate, Chrome moly lightened flywheel, 912 bearing, big welded lever,PU mounts, just a safe set up! Thanks
Parece a ventoinha do gol a ar???
What was the dyno horsepower? I have a 2 litre type 4 on my Kombi, with a Haltech engine management system, very easy to live with. I love your oil cooler set up. And I must say the silencer sounds better than the stinger exhaust.
Please see my dyno video! Here it isn’t yet set up right! Thanks
Please see my dyno video! In this video it’s not tuned yet! (Not synchro carbs, Backfire’s wrong jets etc etc) thanks end if you like please subscribe to my channel
In 1 woord: VET !
Groet
Heb mail gestuurd trouwens

Whats the light by the semafore spot
Jokon light! Oldskool Swedish aftermarket part, because you cannot run with semaphores in Sweden??? I don’t know for sure, I have a original set of 6volt semaphores but stil need them installed, thanks
👍
How much power did it make?
Please see the dyno video on my channel, thanks
new set up is with 48mm ida’s end 3D milled inlets, no dyno results yet! Still bizzy
This is beautiful! I'm planning on doing one with a dry sump. Where did you get that 911 shroud?
It’s from a 911s 930 2.7L 1975-‘77 but the 5 blade is really hard to find end a complete set is these days is super expensive! Maby you local Porsche guy/dealer knows some people if you want a orginal, otherwise you can buy rip-offs for type 1 and 4 vw engines! 👍🏻
@@SpangeBatta I have the 5 blade, the ring and alternator. I just need the shroud
www.ebay.nl/itm/233899709166
@@SpangeBatta I have that. It's the fiberglass component for the T4 I'm looking for.

What was the price of this job?
Hours or parts? I purchased the engine in super bad condition, then start working en modifying! High performance engine rebuild kit was from Aa pistons and was €1600,- with shipping and tax to the Netherlands
tears in my eyes when some idiot centre popped the valves and cyl heads omg.
I know, but they where already there, I changed the valves for stainless one’s
Used The heads, because they are 2.0 3 studs head (biggest valve setup on a type 4 motor) please see my milling movie, thanks
why are you using a cracked head by the push rod journal
Cracked head??
Sweeeeeet
Runs like SHIT! CARBWORK

Hello Joris de Vet, I'm in the middle of upgrading my 1978 Bus that has a type4 engine to increase its power for a cross country road trip. I would like to get with you on the details of lessons learned during your build and if you would do anything different if you had to start all over. Let me know what is the best way to communicate with you so we can proceed to continue this conversation. Thank you in Advance. @campsite1978
