Hey Duane! I do like that more companies are making cell trail cameras now, as more competition just helps them get better and better! I appreciate you reviewing all these cameras bro and making it easier for me to make a decision without having to buy them all. The 4th of July is always a big day for me. It is a fun day of family and friends cooking out and enjoying fireworks, but it is also the day that starts my pre-season prep on my hunting spots. Good times ahead! I hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th!
Hey thanks so much man! That’s a great date to start your prep! I appreciate the positive feedback as always. Have a great 4th and best of luck this season! The Dude abides 👍🏻🦌🦌🦌
I have two Reolink Keen Ranger PT cameras mounted at the farm. I've had them up for about a year and a half. The one at the front gate that gets sun year round hasn't died. The one in a wooded part by the river has to be recharged with a ladder & a battery pack regularly during the winter. I'm looking into a splitter and an extra solar panel as an option. I just don't know if that is compatible with this camera. As a side note, these cameras work well until they don't. At that point, you will not be able to get a hold of customer service. Customer service for Reolink is virtually non-existent.
We have a reolink up at our cabin been outside for 2 yrs now. The only issue we have is charging in the winter. The battery gets really low. It also detects people out to around 25 yards.
it’s a bit different than the typical cellular trail cams. You have to get a third party SIM card and buy data through them (check the EIOT Club link in the description of the video).
Hi @@mountainbuck Ok this stuff is all new to me - used the trail and that I had to hike miles into the woods to retrieve the sdcard then bring it home to see what we there …. People like me need a simpler easier video that starts from the old trailcam and explains the new tech and the lingo Do you know of any videos like that I’ll look also Thanks keep up the great videos
For those regular trail cameras you’ll definitely want to pick up a card reader like this amzn.to/3AREZ5U This way you can review your footage on your smart phone while you’re right at the camera (instead of hiking back to your house). I have a video on this if you search my channel. Also, cellular trail cams are great and I review a ton of them. It’s super convenient to get photos and videos sent to your phone via cellular network (of course you have to pay). Best of luck this season 🦌👍🏻
Thank you for a nice review. How come those images are so poor? It states this is a 4K camera but those images are nowhere near 4K, I don't think they are even near HD (1080p)!
Hey thanks for watching! I think they are most likely downsized to transfer to your phone. If you pull the SD card, I’m sure it writes the videos and photos in higher quality.
You did a great job with this review! Roughly how much data did you use on your plan during those 3 weeks? This is the only thing stopping me from purchasing this camera, I feel like I'd run out of data fairly quickly of there are a bunch of false triggers.
Hey thanks so much! I will try and see if I can find that info, although my 30 day data plan has ended (so not sure if I’ll be able to). I will say that this camera did a good job not false triggering with all of those ferns and the wind. I was checking another camera simultaneously in that same area and it did way worse with false triggers than the Reolink. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Hey I just looked up my usage and it looks like I was right at 2048 MB Total. That’s right at the 2 GB limit for my 30 day plan… so it may have even stopped recording as it maxed out (at the end of my 3 week test). I also jumped in live a few times, so that has an impact of data usage. Hope this helps!

Hey thanks so much! This camera didn’t detect me beyond 8 yards when I tested it. I also raised the camera a bit and tried again (as this helps the detection). Thanks for watching👍🏻
So you can’t just get a sims card from one of the top 3 , I use Arlo go, and pay 20 dollars a month for unlimited, can I do that with this camera, it would be sweet if I could

Hey thanks for the input! I appreciate you sharing your experience 👍🏻
Do you need a cell phone mobile plan like Moultrie mobile ?

Can you have multiple cameras linked to one dashboard. If so can you name the cameras on the dashboard?
Hey thanks for watching yes, I believe you should be able to do this 👍🏻
Just got on to look at reviews of these and boom there you was
haha nice! Always grinding... Thanks for watching!
Another great review and thanks! 8 yards is pretty weak, but again thanks for informing me of this!
Absolutely man! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
I have the Reolink pt plus with the eiot 5 yr unlimited data plan. Everything’s good but distance detection is disappointing
Hey thanks for your input! I agree with the detection range. It definitely could be better. 👍🏻

@@mountainbuck that'd be great if you could find out.

Thanks for the support!!!👍🏻
Explain distance detection again.
Less than 8 yards and more than what amount and nothing happens ?
Great video buy the way !

Hey thanks for watching! If you have a cell company with service in your area and can get a micro SIM card from them it should work just fine 👍🏻
@@mountainbuck cool, that’s what I will try, cause I can get unlimited form either Verizon or att for 20 a month
