This is a great test! It’s nice to see the cameras side by side in the same location so that you can see a direct comparison! They’ve got some great picture quality in night mode! Thanks for sharing
Nice camera and review, Dave. At some point I'll need to get something like these for home security. Nice comparisons you gave of each. Well done. Have a great day.
Great looking camera Dave! I like all the upgrades. It was nice of your deer herd to offer there services for this video! I really like the night color look with the white LEDs. Not sure how this would impact the critters. You can also really see the difference in video quality as well. Great review as always Dave!
Great review Dave. I always look for your reviews. You always approach the issue with no nonsense and facts. You get right to the meat of it. I do like the type C connection. The larger solar panel is good. I can see where the night time color pictures would be helpful....but for my needs, I don't need it. You talked about the ultra needing a Allen wrench to remove it and that the plus had a quick release....I've got a plus and it never came with a quick release. It's just like my other go pt's. There's a screw molded in the mounting bracket (you can't see the head of the bolt at all to use anything on it) and all you do is screw the camera to it hand tight. So, all in all, not enough to sway me to order and convince me that my older pt's are "outdated". Still very satisfied with my pt's and pt plus. Thanks again Dave
Thank you! I have been eagerly awaiting this review (seriously)! I have been using a few Go PT Plus cameras and recently purchased 2 more PT Plus cameras that are in boxes. Was trying to decide whether to keep the PT Plus cameras or return for Ultras. This helped me decide to keep the PT Plus cameras. That USB C would be nice. However, I too like the quick mount on the Plus cameras and didn't realize until your review that the Ultras have an allen wrench connection -- thanks for that insight. And the video on the Ultra didn't seem to provide that much better images than the Plus -- again, would not have known without your great comparison. I also have a concern that the Ultras will use too much data (I currently have 2GB/month T Mobile which has worked well with the Plus cameras). Also concerned that the Ultras will be a little slower to access when there is a motion ping due to the greater data. Not sure if those are valid concerns or not?
Nice review will this cam move and track game or an intruder or does it stay in the fixed position til You PTZ the unit ? Any settings for pre-recording ?
How's she goin'? Another nice looking camera. There sure is no issues with the video quality. The white LED light might be good for a security camera. Thanks for your review. Take 'er easy!!!
How did you get the ghost effects stopped. When your deer heard was moving around it looked great. My pt plus and keen ranger is horrible with the ghost effect, if it a buck you can’t see his antlers unless he has his head up and is still. Was just wondering, because I might not have the setting right or if there was an update that I haven’t seen. Keep up the great videos
I haven’t been able to totally eliminate it, but I’ve found if I lowered the bitrate in the quality settings it helped. I typically ran the quality settings as high as I could but found I got slightly better results by lowering them a bit. Hope this helps.
Great review. I like the type c connector but I also went to a aftermarket antenna 2 weeks after installing my camera as it got eaten by a porcupine. I run a coil steel cell antenna.
Many thanks for this detailed review. Please let me know only one thing, is Go PT Ultra is totally invisible in night like KEEN? Or Is there any dim light or a LED which stays on in this camera?
Mine has been doing well. The better the signal strength the better the live view will load. I’ve found this camera needs more signal vs Reolink 2K cameras that I use.
@HuntingFarmerOfficial cellular? I have this exact camera and I was testing it out, and it connects to wifi. I'm not sure what you mean by it connects to cellular. My phone operates it through the same app as my other Riolinks, which are hardwired to it's NVR. I plan on hooking it up on my property, which is two acres. The garage with the wifu is at one corner of the property. I'm wondering how far out I can go.
If you don't tell what the settings on the cameras are, it's pointless to compare the video quality. I do have the Ultra and by default the settings are not max-out, you need to change them to have the optimal video quality.

Once again awesome reviews and testing! Glad to see improvements made that you pointed out in older versions!
Thanks for the review. We just ordered a unit for our RV and attached it to a frame that we can move. Thumbs up!
I appreciate you watching 👍
Great job on the testing and review as always. Looking forward to your upcoming hunts.

Great picture for security use, the clearer the picture the better.for security ise
Nice review and comparison. So awesome that the local deer herd showed up and 4k is a real winner. 👍

Allen key mount may deter an opportunity thief taking it compared with earlier tool free quick release mount.

The set up on this one is pretty cool. Small and sleek. You got a lot of turkeys out there.
Can you put an external antenna on it
Thank you for this informative video. However, given that you uploaded this in 1080p, the 4k resolution from the PT Ultra is impossible to discern.
I appreciate the feedback 👍
Are you going to review the new Keen Ranger PT 11.....? It may be the exact same camera just in camo....?

Excellent reviews thanks for sharing.
8:26 Is that a spotted lanternfly on the tree? If it is, the PA Department of Ag might want it reported depending where you’re at in the state
Would the white LED scare the wildlife away?
So this is the only one that can use ATT? Is this correct?
Can any of reolink cameras be setup to only take pictures and no video?
@@David-ge6xz yes the newest Reolink GO Ranger PT can take photos only…ua-cam.com/video/AeDSMjB94yA/v-deo.htmlsi=rW6DXzu4F6u6hgV0

Great review on it buddy
Would like to see the auto tracking. Thank you,
Annette
Thanks for watching. This camera does not auto track. You must manually move the camera via the app

What antenna did you go with and why did you go with a different one?
@@chadlakin7517 I run all Yagi antennas and use flexible conduit steel to cover it all. I increased my distance by miles.
Many thanks for this detailed review.

Thanks for watching. You will be able to see the IR lights on the Ultra
How reliable did you find it ? Eg. Did it freeze up? Drop out ? How hard was it to get a live feed ?
Mine has been doing well. The better the signal strength the better the live view will load. I’ve found this camera needs more signal vs Reolink 2K cameras that I use.
How far from the wifi source can this camera be?
This particular camera is cellular and does not operate off of WiFi

Do they pan on their own?
No they don’t, but this camera does ua-cam.com/video/OqE7cWOhlWY/v-deo.htmlsi=s76UFRn0eyl-Wm4s
Is this the first 4K camera you have tested?

For me, the Keen had a better image.
