Think about this, Pat Riley has been involved in TWENTY FIVE PERCENT of all NBA finals as a player, coach and/or GM. One person tied to 1/4 of ALL NBA FINALS... and he was the guy who recognized Spo in the tape room, brought him along courtside, elevated him to assistant coach and then handed the reigns over to Spo when he took over as GM.
This is why I refer to them as the collective individual "Spo'Riley"(not mine but IDK where I cribbed it from), there was no real drop off from one to the other and we've only gotten better as a team :)
