Coach Spo is a legend for a reason. When I was watching the heat during the big 3 days, he learned from 2011 and showed massive growth from then on. 2013 was one of his spotlight moments and I am happy that he's still making massive noise in the NBA today.

@Arraez 4 MVP you can say the same thing about pat riley, phil jackson, etc. Give the ball to Kobe, Shaq, MJ, Pippen, Magic, Kareem and get out the way! Even Greg Popovich had the greatest power forward to ever play the game. So at the end of the day all great coaches have great players. Spo coached the Heat as good as one could especially with all the expectations placed on those big 3 teams.

Think about this, Pat Riley has been involved in TWENTY FIVE PERCENT of all NBA finals as a player, coach and/or GM. One person tied to 1/4 of ALL NBA FINALS... and he was the guy who recognized Spo in the tape room, brought him along courtside, elevated him to assistant coach and then handed the reigns over to Spo when he took over as GM. This is why I refer to them as the collective individual "Spo'Riley"(not mine but IDK where I cribbed it from), there was no real drop off from one to the other and we've only gotten better as a team :)
what pisses me off is that he has NOT won Coach of the Year. I agree 100% with K Perkins. a lot of those COY coaches in his 15 years active coaching are either fired or unemployed. I believe these hypocrite voters have their knives out against the guy.

The Asian Americans definitely have the intelligence, capability and talent to be good head coaches in the nba. So how come it's only Erik Spoelstra who is an Asian American coach in the entire nba? When they say equality in coaching, the default setting is to hire black coaches. The Asian Americans are not even considered but they are highly capable.
@@kaleb324 A lot of great coaches were not even nba players. Coach Pop also didn't play in the nba. Being a head coach and being a player are totally different animals. Michael Jordan was a very good player but a terrible owner. His Charlotte Hornets rarely make the playoffs. On the other hand, some terrible players can be very good coaches. Give more opportunity to Asian Americans as head coaches. They are highly capable since intelligence is one important trait of a very good coach.

The Warrior have 2 great talents and they added a generational talent 2 years after Kerr took over. Kerr needs to prove that he can win with a different roster first. By win, I don’t mean championships. Just make them competitive enough or even exceeding expectations like Spo does with the Heat.
