    I've outgrown your videos and it's kind of saddening. When I first picked up the uke, you were my favorite teacher and I learned how to play thanks to you! But your tutorials are now too easy for me, which is a good thing. Keep being an amazing teacher!

      I'm just starting and think your a great teacher, lve never played an instrument before, lve got fat fingers which are stiff through welding, grinding and fighting (ex Para) it's ajoy every time l try my hardest to do the stuff you teach us,..........started 02/01/2019 branspanker! couldn't go from a to c or even strum ,......it's coming though and l put it down to your good UA-cam video's and also others on here so thanks Bernadette ,the others and UA-cam!

      I feel that Bernadette is an excellent teacher. She was the first online tutor that I found . The way she breaks things down into small bits is useful indeed. After a few repetitions , I can play a recognizable tune, which is very pleasing. I am going to start one of her 30 day courses this week. I have also joined as a Patreon , as I am keen on the Ukulele bible she is preparing. Keep it up, Ms B . You are great!

    So glad I found you. My pace of improvement has increased 10 fold. I was having a difficult time tying strumming, transitions, and singing together. Other UA-cam teachers could stand to learn from your method of breaking things down to simpleist form and then allowing us to add as our skillset improves.

    I love learning at my own pace and having the opportunity to view many different teachers and their style. I’m very comfortable w you bc you are so down to earth. There is a group of players in my area, but the teacher seems more involved w where her group will play next rather than teaching beginners, and you have to pay more for a four session beginners class that she gives separately.
    Her practice group is actually intermediate to long time players.
    I’m not there yet.
    But your tutorials allow me to build my proficiency slowly without developing bad habits.
    Thank you, God bless, and Merry Christmas.

    Hi Ms B. I have been following your videos for tips and tutorials all week in anticipation of receiving my Lohanu concert ukulele, and it finally came today. Im so excited! My 11 year old son is hooked on watching your videos with me and wants his own ukulele! You inspired us 😃

    • @BernadetteTeachesMusic
      @BernadetteTeachesMusic  6 років тому

      Hi Kimberly! 👋🏼
      Welcome to the ukulele family and community!!! 🤗 you are going to LOVE IT here!!!
      Okay, so this version here is the one that sounds close to Bob Marley’s but here are two options to make it easier:
      Option 1 replace the E chord with an E7. E7 is easier than E.
      Or option 2:
      if you want a simpler version try this:
      Replace all the A chords with C chord
      Replace all the D chords with F chord
      Replace all the E chords with G7 chord
      So it would sound like this
      [C] Don’t worry, about a thing, cause [F] every little thing, is gonna be [C] alright
      Let me know if this makes sense. If not, I can film another version ;)

    Can you describe more about the choice of arrangement of A-D-E vs the other videos that typically use C-F-G for this piece on ukulele?

    • @BernadetteTeachesMusic
      @BernadetteTeachesMusic  6 років тому

      Hi Andrew! 👋
      Most people use C F G on their videos because it works. I went with A D E because it is the chord progression used on the original song. Whenever possible, I try to teach songs in the same key as the original song.
      What do you think? Would an easier version be better?

    Thanks, I am so glad I tried this wonderful lesson ! A & D, are working but "E" eludes me ! Time to take a break, trim the finger nail on the "pinky" finger. Then put some Aspercreme on my hands because they ache so much ! The little percussive "chuck" has got me hooked ! I can't wait to have a song to play on my little ukulele ! Harpinhankhogan

    I enjoy playing this song. The difficult part for me is chord E, my index finger does not feel comfortable. I'm trying to curve the fingers more. Thank you,.have learned a lot from you .

    Super Complicated, lol. Once I pick up a uke your teaching me lol. Right now I got the ubass. Been playing bass since high school. Got back into playing recently with the ubass. And will picking up a uke soon. Your awesome, can’t wait.
