Won't the CO2 produced and resources making a hybrid which has electric and ICE power be worse/more than if it was just powered by one type of propulsion?
A little more initial impact with a hybrid versus a conventional ICE, but the ~5-6x efficiency of the electric side of the powertrain earns that back for anyone who drives their car any reasonable amount of miles.
that car looks like a Toyota Corolla .. I’d rather drive a 1998 c43 amg over that 4 cylinder piece of crap with $5,000+ in repair bills waiting in the not to far away future
The rear end is the styling of all C300 models and that wasn't a real world reflective test. The price without tax rebate is a factor for what this car gives. Humans don't give a crap about the planet or their health in the future. They care about cost. Overall price of vehicle and petroleum savings. I guess you don't buy a "Merc" if you cars. Personally, I own an AMG E63 S and only drive it about 3000 miles per year. (Yes, miles. A horrible measure compared to the metric system but, at least we drive on the safer and better side of the road and in the car.) 69mpg EV is wonderfully a double entendre. I doubt it will be sold in the USA. We, unfortunately, don't care about MPG. Not your best video.
You don't know how to drive a phev car, sorry. Electric mode is for economy not for performance driving! You should use hybrid mode (both motors) if you'll try some 0-50mph, 0-60mph etc.

I don't see the point plug in ie very expensive now. It's going to cost more. Better to buy Lexus or Toyota a hybrid self charging car or even BMW. THIS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Hybrid without a plug is a missed opportunity to be more eco-friendly. It deprives you from the opportunity to charge the battery from e.g. your solar panels. How on earth can your ice do that in a less polluting way? It can *not*. Self charging is using petrol, it does not come for free. If however you do not want to use the plug to charge, the Mercedes (and lots of other plug-in hybrids) will offer you the option of self-charging also. So what's the point of a hybrid without plug-in?
@@jaaput money. It's a money world. And time is money. Instead of charging every night with a plug-in (otherwise it uses more fuel more emission to propel the extra weight for the PHEV system pointless imo), just get any full EV and done with tailpipe emission, care less for ever increasing fuel prices, no more oil change (again time is money less pollution as well dealing with used engine oil), no more timing belt replacement whatsoever (long term ownership), less wear on brake pads and rotors (since mostly regen brake, again save time save money from replacing the pads & rotors), and not to mention instant torque instant acceleration from the get go.
Oh sorry guys I mean EV is the best solution. Tight on budget, get the cheapest hybrid on market and save up for an EV Any EV is still better (efficient & practical, your running cost) than any cash grab plug-in they are way overcharge taking advantage of people's new tech new change phobia
