Great video. The individual skill levels of IAF and PAF pilots were fairly similar and both very good. Another great video. Sabre and Hunter are two of the best-looking aircraft of their time, with both benefitting from German WW2 research. The Sabre’s swept wing replacing the original straight wing design NA140/XP86 after NA gained access to late war German flight research data which enabled them to get their now modified design to attain the 600mph speed laid down in the original Air Force requirement and the Hunter’s ferocious 4x30mm gun pack of ADEN cannon based upon the Mauser MK213 revolver cannon which was only at prototype stage at war’s end. The Hunter could survive far more 50cal hits from the Sabre’s Brownings than the Sabre could withstand from the ADEN’s 30mm HE rounds.
Thanks a lot! I agree that both fighters were quite elegant and cool looking. Such an exciting time in military aviation. Hunter certainly packed a heavier punch.

Amazing! Due to this video, after 43 years of listening the true story of the crashed Indian Jet near my village, from my elders and villagers, today I came to know the name of Indian Pilot who lost his life with his crashing Indian Jet. As per my late grandfather and his three brothers (Indian Jet's 1971 Crash eye-witnesses); In 1971 Indo-Pak War, only one Indian jet invading Murid Air Base (Chakwal District) had crashed as 2 low-flying Pakistani jets were closely chasing it and that Indian Jet couldn't avoid hitting Mountain's Peak (just less than 1Km from native village or aerial distance 23 Kms east of Murid Base) in Dil-Jabba Mountain Range (District Chakwal). The 1971 jet crash site was also evident of human remains and IAF's logo on the jet. Hence, unfortunately Indian Pilot Flying Officer Sudhir Tiyagi had certainly lost his life with his crashed jet as I have several times visited the mountainous Indian jet's 1971's crash site.
You Sir, deserve standing ovation for keeping your videos and channel Independent and stating the facts. Instead of pushing indian propaganda. Had you been following indian narrative, you would have 4M subs, 2M videos on each video and invitation to indian news channels as a chief guest.
Flying officer Sudhir Tyagi indeed shot down a pakistani saber. See this . When attacking the enemy airfield, Fg Offr Sudhir Tyagi spotted an enemy aircraft close on the tail of the leader of the mission. He engaged the aircraft and shot it down. An enemy Mirage and two Sabres closed in on him. In the ensuing battle, in spite of being outnumbered, he fought valiantly though his aircraft was shot down. The name of Fg Offr Sudhir Tyagi, was reportedly announced over Pakistan Radio on 05 Dec 1971 as having been captured. Our Indian fighters are far more capable in combat roles than the Pakistanis.

Well, thank you for the praise! I'm not sure of all these subs and views but who knows :)
Folland Gnats were active also I believe with only Two 20m/m cannon and they scored aswell?Could be interesting if possible. Thanks.Be Blessed
Gnats were very much active in 1965 and 1971. Unfortunately, no simulation features them. Hopefully, that will change in the future.
Cope idol worshipper. You air force was dominated in 1965 despite heavily outnumbering Pakistani aircrafts.
Pakistanis have a 100% win record against Israeli pilots while flying Soviet jets. Israeli fighter pilots are feared everywhere.

@@maquacr7014 Making tall/fake claims is very easy. Comparing urself with Israelis is like comparing a Cow dung with a Diamond. Israelis are very educated nd skillfull unlike the Pakistanis who are corrupt and fake.
@@maquacr7014 And in 1965 war. You had the hand of America over you. Hence, you had F 104 starfighter, F86 saber the most advanced aircrafts of that time. We only had hunters, maruts, gnats, vampire etc which were no match. But you guys were still challenged and defeated by our skillful pilots.
@@sayanbiswas6713 So what? Having American tech is a double edged sword. Pakistan found that out when it was sanctioned immediately after 1965 war and again in 90s.
Great video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video as always. Also, I wanted to know if the IAF skin was from WT Live or did you made it yourself
Thanks a lot! The skin was my own improvisation as I couldn't find anything on WT Live.
Qué suerte estar subscrito a este canal.
Muchas gracias por el vídeo!
Thank you for appreciating it!
The animation quality of these videos is astonishing. I guess the F86F could out turn a Hunter? Do you know if either side wore G suits? I'm guessing not since that Pakistani aviator blacked out in a level hard turn.
Yes..the IAF wore g-suits.
The Hunter could outturn the Sabre at higher speeds.
Thanks for the positive comment! I believe that they had g-suits but even if you have one, you can still black yourself out. No fly-by-wire on these aircraft and you could easily pull too hard.
Forget the Mirages. Great video!
Thank you for the positive comment!
Excellent work
My father (late) was an eye witness of that fight saber vs hunter. The hunter was shot down by saber.
Thank you very much for sharing the information!
Good video. The Indian-Pakistani conflicts are often overlooked. Kudos for presenting information from both sides too.
Thank you, I'm happy that you appreciate this kind of a content.
The Indian-Pakistani conflicts are crazy interesting but you hardly get a thing in English or German!
Third World conflicts generally get less attention, that's true.
Yes i would like to see more like this please and thanks very much friend....
Old F-4 Phantom 2 Shoe🇺🇸
Thank you for letting me know! I will cover more of these stories in the future for sure.
Great video.
Thanks a lot!
Please make videos on the legendary commander of PAF Squadron Leader Sajjad Haider's famous strike on the Pathankot airbase in the 1965 war and his strike on the Wahgha-Atari border that saved Lahore from Indian onslaught.
Thank you for the suggestion! I might cover that topic someday.
That war was lost by Pakistan
@@indian.1017The war might have been lost, however the Pakistani airforce definitely defeated Indian air force.
@@therealdoctory-roblox3844 are you mad from mind 😂 Pakistan air force win and Pakistan lose! How useless is this statement? Pakistan air force is a protective force of Pakistan. If Pakistan lost war it simply means no matter how good is it's aircraft or anything else. He lost

As a person living near Murid Airbase i didn't knew it had so much importance Thanks for your information

It is not a matter of sophistication of machines, but the man behind machines that runs it
Generally, yes. But it also helps to have a good machine :)
Your work is fantastic. Could you please do Israeli Ouragans vs Egyptian Vampires and Mig-15s?
I'm happy you appreciate it! I intend to cover the topic you suggested. Some interesting battles occurred in the 1956 War but I need to unlock some more aircraft in WT.
@@showtime112 that’s great news to hear. I can’t wait to watch them . We use your videos to inspire us for our miniature wargaming events.

Fld Marshal Sam Manekshaw. A name that should never be forgotten when comes about the 1971 war.
Nice video 👍
Hvala!
Bro ur best
You embarrass me with such comments :)
Am am i good😢 bro?
Don't sad with me i always with you 😢😢🤗🤗.
What map is this bro is this Marianas?
And please tell me the airbase name also 🙏
This is actually Khalkhin Gol in War Thunder. There, you can also place airbase presets anywhere on the map (unlike in DCS)
Difference between iaf and paf is paf never admit their loses and always tries to glorify their achievements so its quite difficult to know what really happened
Actually, the Indian Official History clearly admits the losses.
Yes always 😅
Taqiyya. 😂
@@showtime112but pak didnt, thats what he meant
@@planeloverpilot4802 True, my bad. But still, Kaiser Tufail lists 26 Pakistani aircraft losses in the 1971 war (not including the aircraft captured in the East). Ten of those were lost in air combat. So, it's not exactly 'never'.
I need to learn more about the Hunter.
This was a good start.

Thank you very much for an elaborate comment!
Indian turned Tyagis story into Bollywood bro 😂
Your impartial and independent research is the best way to know the air warfare history. Also feeling pained for the POWs still in jail and never returned home, they were serving their motherland similarly to million of talented youths serving their own countries. They aren't criminals and keeping them as missing person is barbaric. Thank you that you spoke about the pilot possibility still in jail. We look forward for many more videos from you on airfare of Indian subcontinent.
Thank you very much for the time you took to write this comment! There will be more videos about these conflicts, one of them quite soon.
His research is from Pakistani sources. He has already mentioned his sources. On the other hand, there is evidence that Sudhir Tyagi shot down one of their aircraft before being shot down himself. These white people underestimate India.

Great jets.
Great stories.
Thank you very much for your feedback!
Congratulations from Brazil
Muito obrigado!
Huters were awesome. It was hightly agile and hard to shoot down. The pakistanis thought of them as irritant. Mosquitoes..biting and skooting.
It was certainly a very successful design.
Is there a possibility of showing Dassault Ourugan and Mystere IV planes that were used in historical combat operations.
Not at this moment but there will be such a possibility in the future.
How am I only finding this channel *now* ? I've always wanted to see historical scenarios played out using War Thunder. Fantastic work! A request if I may: Could you do a video on the story of the German F-104 that flew emergency medication to a little girl in Sardinia with 24 hours to live? The trip was successful and the girl was saved thanks to numerous civilian and military forces, forgoing of protocols, shortcuts through red tape and perhaps most of all the pilot: Lieutenant Jürgen Gundling. I believe the girl's name was Jessica?...
I hope there's plenty more people like you who haven't discovered the channel yet :) I'll make note of your suggestion. It's different from what I normally do but it might even work.
@@showtime112 I'll be sure to share the channel in my War Thunder groups, there has to be an overlap of interest!

Great job ! Sidewinder 9B was awful but it was only a question of time before becoming a best-seller
Thanks! Yes, it was a pretty limited weapon but it could work well under the right circumstances.
Amazing video
Glad you think so! Thanks!
Good to se you again on Ind-o-Pak
Well, there's plenty left to cover there. Thank you for commenting!
could you do a video on the Libyan Egyptian war in 1977?
Correction plz, Sabre has been installed with 50 BMG guns, not the 12.7
You are apparently not aware that this is the same thing.
Great history, thanks! The Hunter was now the hunted. I couldn't resist.
In the world of fighter airplanes, there roles are not fixed :)
What's the whole results of the war as compared to the air force's of both sides in 71 war
nice video as always, I suggest that you show the spec card of the aircraft involved, as I am eager about the top speed of Hunter and sabre but i have to look in Google...
Thank you for the comment and the suggestion!
Interesting video. Now, how about making another one, Sabres vs Gnats?
I'd like that. Sadly, Gnat isn't available in any sim. I hope they introduce it someday.
Sure I want to see video on IAF claim vs Pak claim.
You might want to note that the F-86Es were actually Canadair Sabre MK6s not the "E" model used by the USAF.
That's true but it wasn't so much in focus as the model used here was the American built F so I didn't mention it. When I cover the battles involving the 'E' model, I'll explain it further..
The Canadair Sabre Mk 6 was the best.
Very interesting, looking forward to more. I lived in India as a kid and remember jets over Delhi
Thank you for sharing!
I don't think any Pakistani ever made it as far as Delhi, so they must have been Indian.
Some of the Sabres could carry AIM-9B Sidewinders. Also, the F-6 (MiG-19s) and F-104s were equipped to carry them as well. On the Indian side, MIG-21s had AAMs.
