You can blame the madness that was "Concorde" for the largely missing UK Aircraft Manufacturing - a golden nail in the coffin... the UK could have produced an aircraft better than the Jumbo 747 - but they choose the wrong path - much based on the ego of those in the driving seat of the companies involved and government. Concorde was said to be the equivalent of the UK's 'space program' due to its complexity - it was a dismal failure that destroyed its manufacturers. Awesome!!! I'm scale modeler and the hunter it's one of my favorite jet fighters to model. Of course a appreciate so much your efforts to make this video, great, great work. And thanks a lot.
Simple. Most aviation documentaries are the products of the West. They highlight what they want to highlight. For example, the West seems to put an "unusual" amount of stress on "superb" Israeli fighter pilots shooting down Arab pilots in all of the Arab Israeli conflicts, failing to mention how poorly trained the Arabs pilots really were and, in many cases, still are. This is about the same as American pilots shooting down North Korean pilots who were sent into combat with barely 40 hours of flight time whereas the vast majority of American pilots were WW2 veterans. Once the experienced Soviet pilots began to fly the Mig-15s the odds shifted a bit. It was the same story in the first Gulf war. The Iraqis were no match for American aircraft, technology and their experienced pilots. Bluntly, the West is surreptitiously demonstrating its superiority by only highlighting conflicts where it was successful. You do not hear too much about the North Vietnamese pilots who shot down Americans during the Vietnam war. The India and Pakistan conflicts, while very short wars, saw some of the greatest dogfights of the classic jet age ever fought. Mostly low-level fights and lots of them. But as you observed, they do not get much attention. Both countries produced some excellent pilots and despite what is stated in some media reports, there was a great deal of chivalry among the Pakistani and Indian pilots. The father of a friend of mine flew 26 missions in the 1971 war. He also shot down 1 x SU7 and damaged another in a confrontation while flying the F86. His father recounted an incident where a Sikh Indian pilot (a senior Wing Commander) was shot down by a much younger Pakistani pilot in a dogfight. The Indian pilot ejected and survived and was taken a PW. The Indian pilot was taken into a bunker where they all shared some food, beer, and conversation. A few days later, he was shown the gun camera film of the pilot who shot him down and they were discussing what "errors" he had made and so forth! LOL! Per my friend's father, there was no hostility or bad blood at all. They all saw each other as professionals.

Thank you for your comment! Hunter is not a mod, this video was done by War Thunder where Hunter is one of regular airplanes (although it takes a lot of grinding to get to it). But now that I've got it, I intend to use it a bit more :)
Thanks for demonstrating that the hunter was tough reliable and able to sustain damage in combat all the qualities trusted in the type by the Indian Air Force.
I think Hunter is a bit overlooked, probably because it's not American or Russian and it was used in combat by countries such as India, Jordan and Iraq. Their combat record is definitely not known well enough throughout the World.
The Rhodesians used Hunters (and Canberras) but only in ground support and bombing roles. I think they hold some kind of record for accuracy...one cannon round per dustbin. Great channel, I look forward to your posts.
The 'Green Leader' raid by Rhodesia is a legendary air operation. The full audio of the Rhodesian air crews exists on YT, and would be amazing if mixed with your video recreation.
Great job. Appreciate this history on the air war between India and Pakistan, especially with insight on the Hawker Hunter. Did the Hunter ever cross paths with the F-104 Starfighter?

Hi Showtime112, I have been a follower of your channel for a long time and I appreciate the high quality of your work. You ended your video asking for any more engagements involving Hunters, well there is one in particular, please show the shooting down of 5 Indian hunters by a single F86 of the Pakistani air force in the 1965 war by Pakistani pilot MM Alam. I had requested this before but you said that you had no hunters in your collection. Now that you do have them, please show this engagement. Thank you in advance.
I will definitely cover M.M. Alam and his combat record someday. I do have the Hunters now but in a different game (War Thunder). It took a lot of grinding to get to it and now it will take more grinding to get Sabre. The Sabres you saw here are AI controlled and I need them flyable. But I will unlock the Sabre one day, and then a video about this story will be possible. Thank you for your comment!
That engagement hasn't been confirmed by either side. They are all claims with no proof. Pakistan, PAF, his squadron, and even his wingmen haven't confirmed the event. Instead, Pakistani pilots have contested his claims. And conveniently enough, MM Alam was flying the only F-86 Sabre in the PAF inventory that "didn't have" a gun camera. No wreckages or bodies were found either.
@@AT-bo6ww you stated that engagement hasn’t been confirmed by “either” side. You are wrong, it was confirmed by the Pakistan Air Force and MM Alam was officially credited with shooting down 5 Indian hunters. Thanks! I'd like to cover some of that. Challenges are in the fact that we don't have a proper map of the region and probably also no proper infantry units to represent what Hunters fought against. I need to see what can be done.
The Hunters were very reliable. Even after so much rounds fired by the Sabre hit the Hunter, it still was air worthy and successfully flew back to their bases.
salut Showtime 112!!
Thanks for the feedback! There will be more Hunter videos, they seem to be quite popular. As far as I can see, Indian Hunters were not modernized significantly. They were either relegated to ground attack or second-line duties such as target towing.
Another great video, thanks. Has there ever been a more heavily armed fighter than the Hunter in terms of guns (not counting the A-10)? 4, 30mm cannon. I guess the ME-262 also had 4, 30mm cannon but they were much shorter range and less ammo. The Mig-19 had the 3, 30mm guns. Still not up the the Hunter's standard.
Thank you for the comment! I seem to remember reading somewhere that Hunter had the heaviest cannon firepower after A-10. There could be others, if some of the viewers know, they can comment.

Yes, would be interested in learning more about Hunters in combat. To the best of my knowledge, India and Iraq are the only countries to have used the Hunter in major combat against modern opposition. Also its older sibling the Hawker Seahawk, which I believe was used only by India against a modern enemy in 1971 off of the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier. I would love to be corrected.
There will be more Hunter videos. Apart from India and Iraq, Jordan also used Hunter in combat in the 1967 War. The Sea Hawk was indeed used by India and in 1971 it sank some Pakistani vessels. It seems like it was also used by RN in the Suez War in 1956.

Thank you for your comment! Hunter is not a mod, this video was done by War Thunder where Hunter is one of regular airplanes (although it takes a lot of grinding to get to it). But now that I've got it, I intend to use it a bit more :)
Yes, more Hawker Hunter stories & movie clips please
There seems to be a consensus on that :) Thank you for the feedback!
Good work as always!
Thanks! I'm pleased to hear it.
The Rhodesians used Hunters (and Canberras) but only in ground support and bombing roles. I think they hold some kind of record for accuracy...one cannon round per dustbin. Great channel, I look forward to your posts.
Thank you for your feedback! In the future, I might cover some of the Rhodesian Air Force action, both with Hunters and Canberras.
The 'Green Leader' raid by Rhodesia is a legendary air operation. The full audio of the Rhodesian air crews exists on YT, and would be amazing if mixed with your video recreation.
good stuff mate, keep doing it
Thanks, I sure will!
Great job. Appreciate this history on the air war between India and Pakistan, especially with insight on the Hawker Hunter. Did the Hunter ever cross paths with the F-104 Starfighter?
Thank you for your comment! I can't remember there was a fight between those two. Starfighter fought MiG-21s on a few occasions and one shot down a Mystere I believe.
@@showtime112there was an encounter, a special one, flt Lt Divya an hunter pilot rammed his plane to a starfighter in Pakistan after he felt return to India was impossible in crippleed plane ,

Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate it.
This is very well-done recreation, but not a surprise - coming from you. 😉👍🏻
Is this WT game? I didn't catch it in the description...
Thanks again, Pappa! This is War Thunder. I'm experimenting a bit and I put the video in 'People and Blogs' category instead of 'Gaming'. Maybe it will reach a wider audience that way, who knows?
Thank you for sharing this excellent video. 👍👌
Thank you for commenting!
Excellent animation and narration bro ,love you from India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Hunters fought all over the world. Please do a comprehensive playlist of all hunter actions world wide where and when they were involved.
I've so far covered the victories of Saiful Azam in the 1967 Arab=Israeli War but I will cover other Hunter battles too.
Hey ! A fellow war thunder sufferer. Greetings and nice vid !
Suffering is sometimes a good description 😁 Thanks for the comment!
In the 70s I was fortunate enough to work on these beautiful aircraft. Tough is indeed an understatement.
Those machines deserve more attention I believe.

Great story. Nice re-enactment. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t want to have an argument with you and I think it’s best if you let showtime112 to decide himself, after all it’s his channel. So, let’s leave it there…
@@samisattar6308 Again, those are just claims. No proof was provided and some of the most significant Pakistani pilots have discredited them, but yeah, I'm not here to argue, just letting you know.
@@AT-bo6ww I’m not here to argue either but just wanted to correct your statement when you wrote to quote”that engagement hasn’t been confirmed by either side” unquote which I repeat is wrong as the Pakistan Air Force officially claimed the shoot downs. I’m just letting you know as well. Now, let’s leave it here….
Great video !

Terrific work well done ...... how about some Rhodesian Air Force Hunter's..... close air support mission
🥃😎
Thanks! I'd like to cover some of that. Challenges are in the fact that we don't have a proper map of the region and probably also no proper infantry units to represent what Hunters fought against. I need to see what can be done.
@@showtime112 in 1979 Hunters attacked Mapai Garrison which was Battalion strength.
Nice keep it up
I sure will, thank you!
The Hunters were very reliable. Even after so much rounds fired by the Sabre hit the Hunter, it still was air worthy and successfully flew back to their bases.
So it seems!
Su 7 were even more sturdy and robust. The stars were the Gnats and HF Marut
Thanks very much a good video. When Britain was a little Great and manufactured things.
Thanks for the feedback! British jets are a bit overlooked but I'll try to correct that a bit :)
salut Showtime 112!!
Thanks for the feedback! There will be more Hunter videos, they seem to be quite popular. As far as I can see, Indian Hunters were not modernized significantly. They were either relegated to ground attack or second-line duties such as target towing.
Thanks for your answer!
Awesome work by you as always! love your accent! What a beautiful aircraft! Sure by all means... feel free to tell us more about the Hunter!
Thanks for the feedback! I intend to do some more stories about the Hunter.
Four very fast firing guns as well.
The guns on the Hunter were contained together in what was called a quick change tray,or pack. That was for fast turnaround and or maintenance.

In 1968 A RAF pilot, disgruntled the British govt were not celebrating 50th anniversary of the RAF ( formed 1st April 1918) flew his Hunter low level up and down the Thames at speed, blasting past the Houses of Parliament.. including flying through Tower Bridge! Surprisingly he wasn't court-martialed.. ..

Hey what skin are you using for the IAF Hunter? Did you get it on WT Live or made it yourself?
That's something I improvised on my own. Not 100% accurate.
@@showtime112 I am trying to create a similar cinematic for my college presentation on the Indo Pak 1965 war, could you tell me how you managed to get the skins of both aircrafts showing in replay? any help would be glady appreciated :3
@@aaravtulsyan Basically, I just put Indian insignia on the British skin. Do you know how to install a custom skin?
Regarding the AI aircraft, it's a pretty complicated procedure. There's a description how to do it here: wiki.warthunder.com/Custom_units_creation#Applying_custom_skins_to_existing_units
@@showtime112 thanks a lot, I didn't know the Sabre was AI, I thought it was your friend or someone in a player aircraft
@@aaravtulsyan I sometimes recruit other people to help when scenes require it. If you are going to use other people to help and you want them to use custom skins, you need to own that airplane as well and set it to custom skin, otherwise it won't show in your replay.

Good to see Hawker Hunter in your videos, there 're a lot of stories about Israel MIRAGE against the Hawker Hunter in the six days war.
Stay some MIG 21 and JAGUAR nowdays in the Indian air force but not for a long time now.
Salut Jeanne.
