I've had 2 children. Married for 10 years. I've worked mental health and substance crisis intervention for 6 years. I have never felt fear like I felt falling of the boat from BB to Freeport outa sight of land. Thanks for the video!
Michael's shenanigans no way brother! From Velious until they stabbed us in the back at GoD. Every camp, key, quest, spawn check and afk lap around the Nexus I was there. Of course I did it as a Ranger so we could talk about my mental health...
@@pvpwarlord9012 It is pre map ui when your lvl 16, have all of your stuff on you and don't know of its a cyclops island, witches or sirens. Don't try to rose over my gaming trauma! :P
i really feel bad now, i dunno why I didn't think much of it at the time. I put a warning in the description and did an annotation - hopefully that helps
Love your videos man! From what I remember: The monster in Lake Rathe was a huge shark (Megalodon). But because the game was quite new, there were a lot of issues with a huge upscaled shark model in that zone and caused all kinds of problems ( clipping as well as aggro issues) So they removed it quite early. I think they later brought it back as the Fabled Megalodon in a muuuuuuch later expansion. It's insane how much pointless stuff I still remember about this game after having played it nearly 15 years ago.
As a content creator i wanted to take a couple minutes to say how very well edited this is, and how much appreciation i have for the time it took to put this together! Seriously well done and unexpected for a channel with under 3k subs! Well done for a channel of any size! I did exploration of Norrath in EQOA. There was a cave not too far from Halas under the water in a stream. Pretty sure we had an area with apes too not too far from Oggok. With games like EQ and EQOA i was always drawn to dangerous areas through pure intrigue and the want to find a new, and undiscovered camp, with perhaps some UBER rare, undropped item... but i was also shitting my pants the entire time because the world DEMANDED you respect it! So water was quite creepy.
thanks dude! I do what I can, and the downside to that is that it takes forever. I know absolutely nothing about EQOA but I'm glad to hear it's similar to EQ - I fear we'll never see their like again
The editing in this was fantastic and I actually learned something about EQ (never realized the bird effects in FV?? waaaat)! Love your vids, keep it up please!
I miss the old games like EQ, they had alot of these mystery thing that makes you ask question you just dont get that anymore :( Realy hoping for some more on things like this :D
dude you deserve way more than 2k subs, the research, editting and content of these videos is astounding. I really look forward to more, thanks so much for making them :D
my earliest memory of water in eq was my very first character, a barb war from halas....he went out onto the iceplains...fell into a hole in the ice, got lost and drowned ;_: EDIT you earned a sub, you do great commentary :)
When I started playing EQ back at launch we were three people sharing one, single 56k modem. In China. Let's just say that taking the boat from Butcherblock to Freeport was, um, interesting. =)
I don't comment often - but I've just found these gems and now I'm going to sit here with my cup of tea and sacrifice all of my spare time to watching each and everyone one of these. I'm laughing so hard right now.
"don't weep timorous deep" is confirmed for my senior quote. i love your subject matter, your editing, and your sense of humor. please never stop making these videos.
I love your video style. I've never played EQ but have played wow since bc. You capture that sense of the vague mystery being everywhere of old MMOs very well in these videos. Thanks!
One of the best EQ vids I've ever seen. :D And merely a scratch on the surface of how much out of the way stuff there is to explore in this game. Keep em coming! I enjoyed this immensely
When this video started I was going to mention that during the early days of Prexus, there were rumors of a hidden entrance to Hate under the specter island in Oasis but I thought I would wait to see if you brought it up. I've played with numerous old schoolers from different servers over the years and I've yet to find someone who had that rumor on their server so I'm surprised you mentioned it! Unless of course you played on Prexus? Great video as always, keep them up, definitely my favorite EQ videos.
The first time I got on the boat from BB to FP was almost indescribable. I don't think any other game gave me such a sense of adventure and anxiety as EQ did when the boat moved off and left Faydwer behind.
I was an early EQ(1) player. I remember hearing of a lost city or structure in the Ocean of Tears. So, I used my Enchanter with water-breathing, turned on LOGGING, did /LOC every few seconds.. and literally mapped ALL of the OOT.. I went across the ocean like 140 times, methodically moving south each pass. I wrote a mapping program that took my log files and turned them into a graphical map. Bottom line spoiler.. nothing under the water but sharks. :( But, on the good side, I made loads of money dragging corpses from boat-zone fails.
The desert of Ro did have these really cool 5 flying rectangles in the sky you could randomly see. Depending on how high they were, they were likely much bigger than carpets. It was one of my favorite thing about the zone.
There were little wooden doodads on the docks in Timorous that would turn when you clicked them. No reason. I think eventually they fixed them not to move. Kind of similar to that shed in front of the entrance to Blackburrow. Mobs would path through it and open it like a door. I figure since both things had wooden texture, they just fiddled with properties of a door and made them, but didn't remove the open/close function.
These videos are amazing, make more of them! So I can rewatch them over and over again and pointlessly ponder these mysteries... because it's fun! A guild about searching for mysteries? Sounds like my kinda thing! Reminds me of the Twilight Brigade from .hack// series.
One of my first EQ experiences; I was waiting on a boat at Butcherblock and a sea goblin walked out of the water and into the village, I was soooooo freaked out (he conned red). I was so hooked.
I loved this video! All that talk of myths in the game reminded me of being a kid and hearing stories about Bigfoot in GTA San Andreas and other stuff like that. I've never really played much of Everquest but it looks like a pretty well made world. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos! :)
awesome video. I had more fun exploring every square inch of this game looking for senseless mysteries than actually playing content. water stuff was especially fun! It took years to figure out most of the stuff never amounted to anything, so genius!
i brought this up on the live servers many many many moons ago , the part about the birds in FV ;) but i used to focus on the stack of wood closest to the npc banker.
Back in 2000 when I started on a gnome necro and spent many fruitless hours camping the ak'anon newb tunnels (by the evil guildmasters) for Red V and the Bull Smasher hammer (forever my favorite item!), I often would try to swim as far as possible into that underwater tunnel. It just sorta ends. What a mystery! What did they plan there? Some ultra secret guild master area? A sewer system perhaps leading to another zone? Maybe they intended loot to spawn down there. It sure confused me. Heck that whole city is confusing. The central area of Ak'Anon is a maze like building full of clockwork gnomes and a clockwork mayor. But are there even quests in there? The building was so well crafted but then it's all pointless! Classic everquest!
Have you looked into Pantheon at all? Huge EQ fan myself, been following Pantheon closely and it has a lot of potential. Should launch sometime next year

Hail!
omg I miss you flatts, please come back D:

Halfway through that I thought your were gonna end with something along the lines of "you need help" lol - thanks for watchin!
Michael's shenanigans no way brother! From Velious until they stabbed us in the back at GoD. Every camp, key, quest, spawn check and afk lap around the Nexus I was there. Of course I did it as a Ranger so we could talk about my mental health...
So true. My mom once told me to log off when I was traveling on a boat.
theres islands you can swim to its not so bad
@@pvpwarlord9012 It is pre map ui when your lvl 16, have all of your stuff on you and don't know of its a cyclops island, witches or sirens. Don't try to rose over my gaming trauma! :P
It was about exploration. MMO's don't have that anymore. I miss this game .. and the community it had.
Best EQ vids ever. I just had to admit it.
what's tehre to admit, what can be better?
lol_itsgonenow What's there to admit? Answer: That they're the best EQ vids ever.
Dude I would pay a monthly fee for you to keep making these videos.
I think you'd be getting ripped off in that scenario as I seem to put out about 2 a year
The idea is that you make more man!
ahh, well, easier said than done! I appreciate the sentiment though : )
That don't go in the water..Spooked me good
sorry! I didn't want it to be a jump scare - I tried to subvert that by delaying the audio and making it quieter
Michael's shenanigans It was good though,Faydedar was spooky when you saw him
I also got a horrible jumpscare at that part too. Could you put an annotation warning about it or something?
i really feel bad now, i dunno why I didn't think much of it at the time. I put a warning in the description and did an annotation - hopefully that helps
Michael's shenanigans Thanks babe. I subscribed for that quick response and action. And also after watching your other EQ vids.
You state that this is pointlessly long, yet it was not long enough because it's over now and that is depressing.
Lanikin Malachite I fully agree, there should have been 10 more minutes.
These insanely over-edited EQ / P99 videos are esoteric as they are entertaining.
SPQRCincinnatus is there more from other pages?
I don't understand your question.
Its been long enough! I have waited more than a year and I must know! Is there more from other pages?
Overedited or perfectly edited?

loved this video. made me think of my first years in everquest when i was out exploring every corner i could get into without getting killed instantly
Dude, you are really good at making videos... I hope you will get more of a following soon!
The part about Hadden farmers always cracks me up.
Your videos are being shared in our guild forum. Brilliant stuff. Keep making more please!
This is the most epic EQ video ever made- the love you have for the game shows and the nostalgia triggered is deeeep as the sea
One of my favorite series on youtube, who knew there was such detail packed into an old game like Everquest, and your commentary is the best
my earliest memory of water in eq was my very first character, a barb war from halas....he went out onto the iceplains...fell into a hole in the ice, got lost and drowned ;_:

15 years playing this game and I'd never made the correlation between the bird sounds and objects in Firiona Vie.
Lmao i love these vids dude. Such a huge nostalgia trip. Please keep making more! Absolutely love the editing too, pure hilarity.
I've heard that songbird in the forest before but never knew that it was tied to location!
There’s skills ya just can’t teach. Keep em comin, my man! And if you ever wanna hit 50, I got some alts that would love to group with ya!
The epic story of Vailwind Skyfire of Veeshan. Max swimming in the Ocean of Tears from falling off the boat! Old friend.
THANKS WATER, THANKS BOATS, THANKS MICHAEL

thanks! I'm glad you enjoy this nonsense - Sometimes I gotta throw those lines down whenever someone is taking the game a little too seriously : p
i think that bird is a Cockatrice, a mythical beast. Thanks GoodMythicalMorning!
This was awesome, I love being able to relive that primal 1999 era joy of exploring Everquest through your videos. Can't wait for more.
Best EQ video yet, totally loved it and im logging in to check out the bottom of lake rathe :-D
i love your videos sir. keep up the great work
and you keep streaming! ( and GMing of course ) I need more stuff to listen to while I edit!
but i don't your sweet soothing voice. hit me up on the forums or in game, i might be able to help you get better shots/camera angles where/if needed

I absolutely love these videos of yours, very funny, awesome editing and paying homage to the greatest game ever made? YES PLEASE!
Incredible videos, thanks for the nostalgia!
Love it, more please :) I never knew about those sound effects in FV, going to have to try that out sometime.
Hearing the old theme music gives me the urge to play again. But it's not the same anymore, is it?
If you want the old school experiance you can play on p99 which is a old school private server
me too, but then i remeber the insane grinding and the idea of coming back goes away...
That ghostbusters edit was wonderful.
ty! it was a lot harder to do than I thought it would be : D
This is a really great video, loved the ghostbusters reference :)
There is so much love in your videos, great job man!
brings back lots of memories - I remember many of the locations you showed - fun times...fun times

I've been saying this for YEARS....
Dude these are so amazing! thank you for continuing to make them!
Love these videos! Great narrator! Keep em coming, brings back a lot of old memories.
I enjoy these too too much sir, please make more !
This was very entertaining. Just enough of a fix to keep me from going back to P:1999.
Such an AWESOME video. Fantastic editing too and voice over! Brought back so many memories!
This was sooo entertaining and I have not even played Everquest!
EC tunnel = nostalgia hit at the max !!!!
great editing, great humour, great content
Great video and editing as always. Couple of spoops that caught me off guard. Keep it up
There is no person that has ever played Everquest that would not like this video.. well done.
How are you able to make a better video than your last two EQ videos? Unbelievable. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
so damn good
What an amazing video, man. I love your content! Fr dude, I can't wait for your next video
God this is funny, I laughed throughout it. The "Look a scarab! ... OH MY GOD!!!" had me falling out of my chair. Thanks for the laughs.
Some bastard dragged my level 16 corpse to that water goblin tower in oasis. Finally retrieved it with minutes left on my corpse..
but hey at least you got a story to tell now : p
i brought this up on the live servers many many many moons ago , the part about the birds in FV ;) but i used to focus on the stack of wood closest to the npc banker.
Possibly the best UA-cam channel in existence.
Another excellent video! Seriously great editing and content.
For Jairnel, what if you swim out in the direction she stops and faces? Is there anything there?
just water and a zone wall

it's been along time since I've seen anyone play eq lol I find it awsome that you still play eq
No other game seems to hold my interest unfortunately
aww well sorry to hear that I payed it back in the day when I was a kid 98
Have you looked into Pantheon at all? Huge EQ fan myself, been following Pantheon closely and it has a lot of potential. Should launch sometime next year
Haha! so awesome. Thank you for these great videos!
.... a ghost ship?!
I'm surprised you didn't talk about the Qeynos Catacombs. I had lots of fun there.
you know, I'm not sure I've ever been there : ( I need to fix that
Never played EverQuest, but I enjoy your videos tremendously!
Okay, 35 seconds in and I'm laughing, good start, gonna watch everything you have now :)
Downloaded p1999 and have spent more time watching EQ videos than playing EQ. Your videos do all of the things I would want to do in game without the time sink.
I am happy to help : )
This is seriously the best game ever created. These kind of videos make me want to reinstall and check it out again. Great job man.
