Flowerfell just has a few weakspots for me:
In the normal Undertale, it is made incredibly clear that the souls of people still maintain their personality, as when Asriel talks about how Chara wanted to make "them" kill humans or as when the souls actually turned against Flowy. This is just gone in Flowerfell (which would've been a great way to get an ambiguous ending).
Also, in Undertale it is explained that the capacity one can take being hurt and is able to hurt is based on how much they hurt others, which seems to fit for the monsters too in Undertale. In Flowerfell, this fits for most of the monsters (more willing and capable to hurt = stronger), but not for Sans for some random reason. Sans is just as "weak" as he always was. Would've been quite nice if Sans started out stronger and actually got "weaker" the more compassion and empathy he felt.
Also also: Why did Asgore not absorb the souls in Flowerfell? In Undertale it is clear that he is regretting everything he is doing and that he does not want to become god and wage war on the humans. In Flowerfell he is a power hungry tyrant, so why does he just store the souls like his normal universe counterpart?
Also also also: I found the whole "Frisk dies"-thing a little sudden. It would've been nicer for "respawns" to take longer for example to signal Firsk getting weaker.
Still, it made me feel something in the black thing that pumps the deep red gunk through my veins, which is something rarely archieved. Still, the other black thing that pumps thoughts through my head activated and began to pick the story apart before the black thing in my chest could turn red.
