Update on the Nitto Trail Grappler tires on June 12, 2023. I got the tires in September and they have exceeded my expectations. I still love the way they ride, handle and grip the roads, especially when it rains, they really grip the roads very well. I haven't had any issues with them at all and glad I chose these tires.
Nice ride. I would have gone with more sidewall. Just me. 295/60/20
Thanks! I had different Fuel wheels on the truck at the time and wanted a different Nitto tire, but those were the ones that fit my previous wheels. Always love hearing others feedback. Appreciate it!
Getting those this in a few days 20 inch with the 34 inch Nitto’s on a 2.25 inch ready lift level on my white 2020 STX 4X4. Hope it looks as good as yours
Thanks! So awesome that you will be getting the Nitto tires! That setup sounds great for your truck. I have my truck on a leveling kit. I have a short video of my whole truck. I think you're going to really like these tires. Out of all the tires I have had, these tires are the ones I would get again. Love how they handle the roads.
Looks like a nice setup. How do you like the way the tires ride?
Thanks! I really like the way the tires ride and handle on both dry and wet road conditions. Where I live we have a lot of potholes and you can feel it when you hit those. You will feel some bumps depending on the roads and how they are. Honestly I was really surprised how good they do handle and I was concerned about the rain because it rains here a lot. I am impressed how well it grips in the rain and when it's not raining. There will always be pros in cons with any tire. I had always wanted that more aggressive looking tire without having to get a mud tire or hearing the road noise of a mud tire. These you can still hear the noise, but it's not that loud to me. I had planned on uploading a video of the road noise so people could hear it. I actually had Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires before I got these and those were the worst tires I ever had. Hope this helps you!
About to put these on my GMC AT4 stoked! I agree on tires I love ridgegrapplers though best tire I’ve ever had for overall use! I’ll be running my Toyo MT’s for now should look pretty killer we’ll see how they do
@threadoflife That will be an awesome setup on your GMC AT4! I almost got the Toyo MT years ago for my first truck, but I decided to go with Nitto. Let me know how they work out for you on your truck. Thanks for the feedback!
20x10 -18 offset?
Yes 20×10 -18 offset. The setup with the tires and wheels on my truck, they had to do some trimming because the tires were rubbing.
I would have steered clear of the China made tires, and went with Mickey Thompsons.
I had Nitto tires on my other Ford-150 that I traded for this one and decided to just stay with that brand just get different Nitto tires. I heard Mikey Thompsons were good tires. Always like hearing others opinions about what tires they like!
@@scallywagcaptainjacksparrow - I never had the Nitto tires, but I learned my lesson in buying China made tires years ago. They cannot handle the extra weight from towing, and they do not last long. Had a set that only lasted 2 months. At the time I could barely afford the ones I bought, let alone another set. Luckily for me the Sears service manager made things easier and gave me a set of Goodyears for the same price.
@Joseph Seno Wow! That is really bad that they only lasted 2 months! Tires are not cheap at all, glad the manager helped you get another set. I don't tow anything with my truck. When I traded my Ford-150 that I had for 10 years for this one, I had planned on always getting the more aggressive looking tire without having to get a mud tire or hearing the road noise of a mud tire. These you can still hear the noise, but it's not that loud to me. There are Pros and Cons of the tire. It does drive good on wet roads and handles good, but will definitely keep in mind what you said after hearing your experience about China made tires. I will see how long these hold up, especially all the potholes where I live. Thanks for sharing that with me!
@@scallywagcaptainjacksparrow - Cooper AT3’s are great too. The last 3 trucks I had all got Coopers, and the last two cars. I’m not sure how the new styles will be because they are now owned by Goodyear, but I imagine they will be just as good if not better.
