At 6’2” I find the 101’s handle bar to be about 5 cms too far away (happy with the 6 inch risers from an aesthetic perspective). Parts are readily available in Australia for these already. Looking forward to seeing what the Lloyds tune does with this platform. Traditionally, they don’t provide a big increase in torque or horsepower, however they do increase the fuel to air ratio which ultimately makes the bikes run better and also cooler which will also increase longevity of the engine whilst also providing a better interaction between your right wrist and the engine engagement. A cam upgrade would also be something I’d be interested in seeing when available. Great work, love your channel!
Thank you! For the risers - I wonder if you could get a bar with a slightly higher bend? I reckon that would keep the look and get you the better reach - only challenge could be the Indian normally has a notch in the bar to mount the perches and so bars have been limited unless you start drilling... For the Tune - you nailed it! I find sport mode a little to twitchy and normal mode a bit disconnected from my right hand - every Indian has been much more rideable with the Lloydz tune! They did seem to get more power out of the FTR though, so I am hoping! 🤘
Would love to hear about the Lloydz tune when you get it done on that 101. Lloyd runs a shop nearby. Me and I will be out of town. I have spoken with him about pipes for my 101 as well.
Good video. I wanted to go this route at first as a 5'7" rider, but I got used to it. Spent the Indian cash I had on a 2up config instead. The lead time on the risers was 3 months in July.
@@newbierides yes as another comment described the harness I mention is actually for the left and right handlebar controls and that is the one that gets too tight without it 🤘
@dropbearmoto I understand they are for the controls, but the wires attached to the throttle is not included on that harness. That is the one I'm confused about, I can't find any information if that needs to be extended or not. I have a sport scout I'm looking to add the dean speed risers with a pull back, hellbent makes an adapter for the gauge.
Yes, If you have the room, I would go for it - We have contemplated making the bike all hers and putting them on - we really think they will give a better riding position! I think the only reason Indian went with the forward pegs was to make it more accessible for taller riders. 🤘
The extended harness is for the left and right bar mounted controls. The cluster is mounted in the same position as the factory risers. The longer brake and clutch cable are absolutely necessary, the stock harness will work but it will be pulled a bit tight

Thanks! Yeah stock position not terrible, but supply chain is frustrating!
Any news on the Lloyds tune?
@@darrenstopler3045 I chased Ryan again today - not sure exactly when but he said soon! 🤘
They say you need a long harness for these but that doesn't include the throttle harness. Did you have to extend the throttle cable?

@ the part numbers I listed in the video are all that are needed for the 10” straights.
What’s the torque spec for the riser top cramp

Yours is only 10 inches, mine is 14

Needing to install anything more than 2 inch risers spells either bad bike design or wrong bike purchase...
