You don't appear to understand Communism, Communism involves a stateless, classless, moneyless society with common ownership of the means of production, a lack of commodity production which refers to producing things to be sold, a gift economy, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need" as Marx had worded it, the "withering away of state" as Engels had worded it to achieve a "Communist Society" as Marx had called it.

ttlovepie there isn’t a great way of saying when capitalism started. most historians say it was during the Victorian era and the 1800s but there were many elements of it going as far back as a hundred years earlier. policy can also shift in the course of 50-75 years too. 75 years ago the US pulled itself out of the Great Depression, and now we have boring old late stage capitalism where college and healthcare isn’t free and the corporations have snuck there way into every aspect of life.

A fine swing take on a left-swing chestnut. This music was used over the closing credits of Michael Moore's movie, "Capitalism: A Love Story". Tony Babino's approach to swing, and to politics, seem very similar to Bobby Darin's. Darin would have been comfortable swinging The Internationale. Many of Darin's political songs are obscure. His song "Simple Song of Freedom" got some traction. And he didn't just sing it - he also wrote it.

Hard to believe this was added eleven years ago probably about the time of the Michael Moore film where I heard it as well as comments below. Just personally I get the same feeling while watching "The Glenn Miller Story" where the field parade gets into step on The St. Louis Blues March. Not from the military theme but for being in step with one another and enjoying it. That movie clip is easy to find.
