Wow. That is all I have to say.
.
.
.
.
.
Just kidding ;) They say the Daytona is the fastest of the small sports bikes. I can't tell because I can't compare. All I know is my CB500. So far. But I guess now I know why they claim the Triumph to be the quickest. It's just so easy to ride. The legendary 3 cylinder 675cc engine from Hinckley is a living legend. Lots of power available at a very broad band of RPMs. And its 'flickability'! Oh my! Throwing her into the corners (well, as a sports bike newbie I wasn't exactly 'throwing' her I guess...) is one huge pleasure. She acts very well mannered and doesn't need to be asked too much to fall into the lean. Are Japanese 600cc sports bikes this simple to handle as well? I hope one day I'll be able to find that out as well!
You guys need to say thanks to Lukas since he's the one who owns the Daytona and who made the video possible!

DISCLAIMER: I spent hours of work in post-production to digitally modify the dashboard's speedometer display unit. In order to make my riding appear more dramatic obviously. In reality I actually never exceeded 49 kph.
I love how you always feel the need to excuse yourself for going slow, and then you proceed to go blisteringly quick on a bike you've never ridden. Props for that, man! You're awesome!
I don't see it that way. I'm always looking at the "real world" regarding lean angles and speed and not the UA-cam sphere. Of course I did kick the Daytona a bit on the straights but in the twisty bits I went rather slow. Which is just natural since I didn't know the bike at all. In my opinion I'm not really making excuses but I'm rather addressing a very specific audience with the captions. And this specific audience are folk who spend more time on the bike than on the Interwebz. They are the ones who actually realize how fast or slow I was going. I'm not calling the others who think this was a fast ride ignorant or anything like that. Everyone can decide for himself/herself. But I rather stay honest for a few people I care about than celebrating myself as some sort of fake hero.
I'm glad you still liked the video :)
Ich liebe diesen verdammt geilen 3 Zylinder Sound einfach!
Also ich fahr Smart neben Moped...der is auch 3 Zylinder aber n kackfass xD
The 675 engine is one of the best ever made.
+zardportugal yes I definitely agree
Wow! Wow! and once again WOW!!! The sensation of speed in this video is amazing, especially at the end. Great bike, fantastic road, perfect picture and sound quality... Thank you for these 8 minutes of awesomeness.
+MrKiddo you're very welcome!!! Thank YOU and best wishes from Vienna :)
That sound of the triple is just beatiful! :O Awesome riding man!
+The Kafkaesque Rider thank you mate!
*Q U I C K S H I F T E R
+Schaaf Sag mal du willst mir nicht zufälligerweise deine Stahleier spenden? Ich könnte die gut gebrauchen. Ob ich jemals so gut fahren kann? :D Gutes Video!
+Schaaf Kommt schon...! :=)
Major props to people like you who place the answers to all my questions in the description
Thanks for reading it :)
Watched the whole clip, stayed for the scenery, loved the cracks and pops in the sound, enjoyed the ride. Thanks!
thanks for watching and commenting, Yan!!
Love the sound of the Daytona 675. Simply beautiful. That engine note definitely deserves the "Schaaf Method" heh. & yes, Thank you, Lukas.
+Curlysan :)))) I'll let Lukas know :) Thanks mate!
I come back to this video like 2 or 3 times a year. I've been riding a Suzuki SV650S for three years now (but just 6000 km). Thinking about upgrading to the 675i as I've been dreaming about it for a few years. Not sure if it's the smartest choice for maximum 300 km per day, and it's probably horrible if you want a passenger. But I feel it calling me, and every time I watch this video I think to myself: WTH, we only have one life, I should do it :))
nice!!
I went from SV 650N to a Street Triple so I can relate. Both great bikes but of different breeds : to me th SV is a roadster with some sporty credentials, while the Triumph is a sport bike with a handlebar
Yet another amazing video Schaaf.
The roads on which you ride are just awesome and your lean angles are 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
thanks mate!
"Hey mate, can i take your bike for a little 10 minute drive?"
"Uhh... ok... but be carefull please, you know... if something happen you will pay!"
"Yeah, just 10 minutes, not more, seee you soooooon"
+German Roads just what happened basically :D
After that vid i bought a daytona 675 last weekend. Had my first bigger ride today... hell... now i know how insane that motorcycle realy is! Every Euro worth! No need for a liter Bike.
fantastic mate!! Congratulations!
Thanks Lukas, that was so enjoyable to watch and without you letting a madman ride your lovely bike it wouldn't have been possible. Thank you Schaaf for having the skill to ride this bike so well (considering you had very little practice on it) Bravo!! Ps. i don't think you are a madman really, crazy yes, madman no. Ride Safe.
+Jeremy Markham hahaha no worries Jeremy! I consider 'madman' as compliment as long as it's coming from the right kind of people (=you) ;)
I have a 2006 675. I never get tired of the sound 🥺💚💚 Best sound ever.
Awesome!!
Man that your riding is really good. It was awesome to see how you just flowed into the corners. Oh my god that sound is intoxicating.
+Okoang Baker thanks a lot mate!
Ahhh Wow Schaafty I am totally addicted to this vid,,, Like i find myself watching it over n over,,,, this bike is perfectly fuelled above idle producing those amazing pops and bangs,,,, So that plus your skill level is just amazing,,,, I think ur Jason Disalvo in disguise buddy!!! Thanks again Mr Schaaf..... Keep Safe...
thank YOU for this nice comment Derek!! Later this year I will post another Daytona RAW which I filmed this year.
i bought my 2010 daytona brand new, still only done 20,000km fastest bike ive ever own, fun to ride, handles well, this guy handled this bike well, they are no toy
thanks
You deserve a big sports bike, you're alredy killing it with your cb-500, can't imagine you riding a supersport bike *-*
One of the best videos on the internet. You are literally me but on a motorcycle, sick riding
+WeJustDrive awesome!! Glad to read that! Thanks a lot!
So, does this Triumph make you want more CC's? Looks properly quick and responsive
+WeJustDrive I want more cc's for at least 5 years now but I could never afford them so far. Will take 2-3 more years
Haha, Schaaf auf ner Rennsemmel.... SEHR flüssig gefahren (-: Der Sound ist einfach unverwechselbar, top!
Irgendwann musste es ja passieren ;) Dank dir, mein Freund!
Eargasm is right, man dope dope ride. I run a speed triple with an arrow 3-1 low boy. There is something about the Trumpet triples. Brilliant to watch and listen, thank you mate, great videos! Cheers from Alberta.
thanks man! LOVE the 3-1 low boy!! Great choice!
Schön anzusehen wie immer :)
+LifeOn2Wheels vielen dank!!
I used to never like 3 cylinder bikes but this def changed my opinion about them. Awesome clip!
thanks
ich sag danke :)
amazing riding omg!! That bike sound though, freaking smooth! and that backfire
+betoski yess!!!
skills man!! Love your style! ride safe and stay sharp!
+DoubleX _Rider thanks a lot!!!
😲 the sound is genuinely incredible
yessss
Outstanding footage man. What GoPro is that? And what software do you use to edit your videos?
Great job Schaaf!
+Riding TusCanY thanks mate!
where do you put the mic?
hi mate! gret video and SOUND!...HOW did you record the SOUND Quality..? (almost no wind noise!)???
It's a very well designed bike. I didn't particularly care for the handle bars, if i were to buy one, i'd probably change them to something with a different bend, but, everything else was perfect. I managed to score a few rides in 2014 from a friend (also ;) ) and as you, i was blown away by how maneuverable this little rocket is.
I wouldn't say Japanese bikes are equally "flickable" as this particular one (maybe because of their different philosophy), tho, i suppose it's up to the rider, and most importantly hours. I mean, i remember when i jumped on a GSX-R600 (01 and 03) for the first time, i didn't feel it lived up to its 'fame' (and mind you, i've always been a bit of a Suzuki fanboy, going against the grain where everyone around me was everything but Suzuki). But when my brother bought one and i got to ride it more, different beast, the more you ride a bike, the more you understand it.
In closing, thank you Lukas for making this possible, when Schaaf is happy, we're happy, and nice engines are meant to be heard.
+aserta thanks for your insights :)
Gotta love a black 675 Daytona :) Great video!
Thanks
Ride a 2009 stR with quickshifter and baffle less arrows, sounds exactly like what I hear, can't get sick of it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 totally approve
+West Yorkshire stR yeaaa! Thanks!
Heyy its all good man,,, if im smiling watching the vid i can only imagine how much fun you were havin!!! For it being your first time on her i think you did a damn good job!!! ive been torn between the 675 and 848 evo for next year but im definetly going with the 675 first for an aggresive lil bastard like me that triple sound is just,,,,well im in love with a machine yup ill admit it!!! See here where i am in Canada its very hard to test ride a Ducati but i dont think it would sway me any,,,,, And im gettin bored with I4s ive had four of them now in every state of tune sooo 675 it is!!!
thanks a lot man!! I'm not a big fan of the I4s myself. And I'm pretty sure that both the Daytona and the 848 Evo would be brilliant supersports choices :)
Still the best channel for this kind of videos.
Does this test makes you want to get a new bike?
+Seventysevencats thanks a lot mate! I want to get new bikes since 4 or 5 years now ;)
Ey Schaaf du kranker Hund! :D
Der Sound ist brutal. Und der Disclaimer wie immer köstlich.
+Polly1704 Nichts als die Wahrheit :D
Bloody impressive! How have you resisted not buying one yet!? Congrats on 20k subs as well mate
+Carmo Motovlog oh the minus on my bank account makes resisting the temptation fairly easy ;)
Yeah, fair call! I don't think UA-cam would be able to handle the epic-ness of your video's if you rode one full time either
7 minutes of awesome riding like a boss ^^
+Keith Wong thanks Keith mate!
+Chris unbedingt!!!
this video just makes me want one even more. thanks
it's such a great bike
Dude, you are literally the reason I decided to get a daytona
excellent choice
Wow man awesome video!
+Twowheelies thanks man!!
Which bike is more fun, Daytona or MT07? If you had to choose one to own for long time (for free), which one would you choose?
Daytona
sounds like its running really rich. love that crackle sound
me too
Soo much adrenaline! I ride a 125cc so I can´t even imagine riding that fast.
Nice riding!
+Leandro Martin you'll get used to it quickly ;)
That sound of the bike was so good, it sounds like a song =) well on this bike your riding skills are more noticible, you are not riding, you are skiing 😃 thanks for your videos
+spartagbalgat thank YOU for watching and commenting!
I subscribed... great riding and what a sound!
thanks man
wow, that was exiting, and i love the sound
thank you!
U got the Tri's trumpets barking !!!
Well Done...& I've always like the Bike's sweet spot size, and U ap have a great friend to lend u his Ride :)
You looked very comfortable and the gimbal was smooth !!!
Very peaceful place with the Birds tweeting at the end parking lot, too
;)
+Dracati Ducati well said Dracati :)
Aja thumbs up natürlich! :)
Thank you for blipping the throttle while downshifting.
you're welcome. I have another daytona RAW on my channel in which I time the blips a little better already
Wo hast du dein Microfon platziert? =)
is it just an arrow slip on ? just curious bc i bought a 2010 daytona and looking to upgrade exhaust as well, had an arrow slip on on my street triple but doesn't sounded as brutal as this one ( with db killer !).
yes
Are u going to buy a new moto after this ride? At least thinking about it. Or is it all you think about at the moment? Little insights please. Thanks.
everything explained in here: ua-cam.com/video/j9T4NCY6J88/v-deo.html
Hey guy it's absolutelly amazing video (Y) !!!
+svab4 thanks!
+Duc STREET TRIPLE RX!!! STREET TRIPLE RX!!!
Who can dislike this? Was it a miss click? Once again an amazing video, thanks :)
+Wookie_au bicyclists probably!
Ein wirklich supertolles Video, taugtma sehr!!! Super 3 Zylinder sound!!! :-)
absolut!! danke dir!
my head hurts lol sick video as always :)
+150 Rooster thanks!
Awesome ride amazing how quickly you adapted to that bike says a lot if you ask me.
+MidwestMotoRider thanks a lot :)
Ein Schaaf im Wolfspelz. Indeed :D
+Schwabenrider ehehehehe :D
Beautiful bike! Beautiful ride!
+DiePflaumex3 thanks!!
You really look at home on that Triumph. You took all the corners in the correct gear and at the right speed… impressive on a bike that is new to you. Any footpegs harmed in the making of this video? Cool riding Schaff.
+JPSV hahaha my lean angles were miles away from scraping knees even ;)
675 or the Street Triple? You certainly got the triple wailing! Have fun now the sun is out.
+JPSV Striple all the way!!!! Unfortunately the sun stayed for 2 days only. All we have is rain rain rain around here these days
Nice 1 schaaf
+puds boi thanks boi!
Sounds so good!
yes it does!
Is this exhaust also available for the 2008 Daytona?
no idea
Very nice ride.
Like the sound a lot.
Many thanks!
Wow, nice video! Do you know if the quickshifter also downshifts with auto-throtle-blip? (like the new bmw 1000rr does)
thanks! This one doesn't!
Looove the 49kph disclaimer man that good humor rite there!!! Wow she sounds Awesome you said the Db killer was in!!! Did you ever take it out?? ive watched countless hrs of 675s cause im gettin one in the spring but theres somethin special about that one i love the way she pops n crackles do you know if she had the arrow tune aswell or just TRO either way Sweet bike and Nice landscape makes for a great day.... Keep Safe man....
thanks Derek! Unfortunately I'm bad with any infos because that Daytona isn't mine unfortunately. I do know that the Arrow cans will get quite a massive bit louder (too loud for my taste) without the killers inserted. But I don't know anything about the used tune/mappings, sorry!!
What Protune settings do you use?
standard ones
You're probably asked this a lot, but how do you get such good sound clarity with no wind noise?? Love your videos and Instagram feed. Safe riding! From Australia
+John Blenkin since you took your time to write a few words more I'll make an exception: read the description, please!
Ah crap, my bad mate.
+John Blenkin no worries ;)
Just picked me up a 2007 Daytona 675! Love it! Wish it was a bit more comfortable. The s stock seats on them is like sitting on a piece of wood.
Congrats!!
I own a Street Triple R, 2010. Has the same loving sound
great!
Ya can't beat a howling triple for sound!😈 Have you found your next bike Schaaf?🤔Top class thrashing as usual mate, more please????....😎👍🏻
+ninjanelly350 it would be a nice trackbike ;) Thanks nelly!
Very nice. I always wanted a Daytona 675, but ended up getting a Speed Triple as my first bike (not wise, I know). It feels really weird coming from a bike with wide handlebars to a sport bike with clip-ons and an aggressive riding position. And yes, quick-shifters are amazing, so much so that my current bike has a quickshifter for both the up and down shifts. ;)
+hxrly the ones with blipper function I'd only use on the racetrack. On the road I want to revv-match myself. I need the challenge.
+Schaaf good point, I enjoy some good rev-matched downshift myself. The good thing is that the bike will not attempt to rev-match if it senses that you pulled in the clutch to do it yourself.
+hxrly that's good to know, thanks :)
Mal ehrlich. Hehe... Man(n), so eine Daytona hätte aber was. Vor 10 Jahren war das mein Traumbike. Daumen hoch für die Soundquali. Sehr gut.
ne, dreifache Geschwindigkeit. Amateur.
+Schaaf Chapeau...
Schaff. Compared to the speed four you rode in one of your videos how does it comapre. I have a speed four now and im wamting a 675
it's a whole lot smoother to ride the 675 engine. I like it a lot more than those small 4 cylinder ones.
Thank you appreciate it. Love youre videos ride safe
At some point it almost looked like u were trying to scrape the mirrows, anyhow have you felt any vibrations tru the handle bars or anything of the kind?
+Cat Caturday not at all! You should get near your mirrors when hanging off was done right. Your whole body's supposed to move to the side, not just your ass and legs ;)
It was a joke! What i meant was that u were leaning crazy style u nutty Austrian!
+Cat Caturday but my reply wasn't :)
Thats it. Im Taking a 5 hrs trip to steal ur bike.
+Cat Caturday :D
It's soo good ! :D Thanks for my ears !! :)
+Ride For Life :D
The worst part of the video? The lenght...i could watch you riding that bike for hours! It's an awesome bike for sure, but your skills make the real difference...please, more bike swap, they are too damn good...keep up with the awesome work!
+Samuel Dallavalle thanks a lot! Will try my best!
You, the man!
you, thanks!
epic ride bro ;)
+2wheels season thanks bro!
Ja mal sehn, werde halt einfach mal Probefahrten ausmachen ;)
Got to love a Triumph triple, that exhaust sounds great on it
+The Kruxed indeed!
@@Schaaf what kind of exhaust is on it?
Im looking to getting the same one for my bike
Gotta buy mine back (for sale), she was my baby and this sound just makes me miss her more. 😢
Good luck!
LoL tht ending description vibe 💕
;)
thanks for video I've had a daytona 650 for a while now but that settles it ......I'm upgrading
+Gaz Deamon do it!!!
Hey Schaaf awesome as always.
Did the rear kick out at 4:20?
+Calum Johnston just the camera hitting the windshield. My lean angles were very far away from potentially having start the rear act weirdly ;)
Respekt! Sehr geil!
+CB23 danke!!
What a beautiful place to live in.
+Shaun George indeed!
You will probably find for the most part you will have more fun on a midsize than a full blown sports bike on public roads.
yes
