Came the Lightening, sees Olivia examining the intimacy and emotional connection of their relationship in a memorable series of poems. She delves into the phenomenon of losing a partner and the passage of time.
The poetry is accompanied by a selection of photographs and mementos curated by Olivia.
George sure did know how to pick 'em: first three friends to create a band called The Beatles -- then Patty, then Olivia, perhaps the best of them all... -- let alone a band of other Traveling Wilburys too, some neighbors, some in India -- as well as being one of the best friends the Human Race will ever have: His Music is timeless for it is Spiritual -- and as great as John Lennon was, and he IS GREAT -- George may be remembered the longest for His Songs transcend time, periods of history, and other limitations of time and space (besides, he put out more albums than John, God bless his soul ;-) -- thank you, Olivia -- and Yoko -- and Dhani, for keeping the Spirit alive... we will NEVER FORGET although All Things Must Pass since Love Is Forever!

Man.... What beautiful grounds Friar Park has. No wonder George was more inclined to be a reclusive gardener than to live the rockstar life (with some exceptions of course). I wish someday that Friar Park would be open for tours, but I can imagine that when Olivia passes away, Dhani would want to keep that oasis private.
Over the decades, so many artists have destroyed their image, yet, I've never heard a single word against Olivia Harrison. She must be a truly wonderful person. I will enjoy adding this to my book collection.

I was chatting with a guy I know who is a professional musician
and who did some consulting for Beatlemania. He told me about a book
by Bob Spitz (The Beatles: The Biography) which makes that point on
p. 567:
"Later in life he would become vegetarian, consult an astrologer,
and devote himself to Transcendental Meditation before embracing
traditional Christianity."
When my friend contacted Bob Spitz about his source for that fact,
the reply included the following excerpt:
"As for the source of George's return to traditional Christianity,
the source was the man himself, conveyed to me some months before he
died. Because of agreements with the Harrison estate, I was unable
to list him as a source."

The main problem with Olivia's poetry and George's music is that it's so full of their nutty religious views, which they apparently believed must be shared with us infidels. Reportedly, George was even chanting while he was being attacked, to absolutely zero effect on the attacker.
It's not a magic spell to control material energy, thus it not effecting the attacker. Getting in touch with one's true consciousness is not a wacky religious view, it is simply discovering who you really are. And it is available to all, thanks to people like George....
Money Money Money! Whatever is put out by a Beatle or relative should be free to the public. Remember the concept of Apple? Maybe no one does. Lots of people will buy stuff like this. Aren’t we obligated to show our love.
