- Easter eggs and references. You love them and Lightfall’s got em. SInce launch I've been throwing down easter eggs and secrets on this script as I play and we have some interesting ones. Cabal drops pods, hologram cats, Halo throwbacks and much more.

I watched a couple of these Lightfall Secrets videos and I find it strange that nobody mentions The Winterbite. It's clearly a BFG (Big F**king Gun) reference, the exotic perk is named "Big Frigid Glaive" and the way it works is exactly as BFG works in several Doom and Quake games: shoots a ball of energy that slowly travels in straight line and shoots projectiles at passing enemies.
I noticed the Cabal under the drop pod when I played the campaign the first time. I laughed and said, "Now you know how we feel!"
Absolutely love the drop pod reference what an amazing way to joke at us guardians
I choose to believe we as guardians did it on purpose as a small bit of vengeance.

For the OG D1 Promotional Fireteam they don't only just get sliced up but the Ghost gets sliced into 7 pieces, which Bungie has always had an obsession with the number 7.
That symbol in the tower is awesome!!! Reminds me of the destiny egg in halo! I love how these guys foreshadow years in advance. Goes to show you just how far out their stories are planned. Amazing
It still amazes me that when Destiny 1 released in 2014 they claimed at least 10 years of continuing story, with next year being the end of the light and dark saga exactly 10 years after release....
Regarding that symbol, there is an emblem that was offered during the Showcase 2022, where they revealed the first trailer for Lightfall, which has that exact symbol. The emblem is called "Starbirth". I'm not sure if we can take the title of an emblem literally but, make that what you will.
What amazes me is how D1 ended in a pretty good state, them launched D2 in a shit deplorable state almost killing the game.

The part about the drop pod and Osiris asking if they're safe could also be a reference to Halo 3 ODST and their drop pods.
"They're everywhere" in the radio chatter during the initial mission is a Marathon reference.

that symbol was in D2 since it launched so this particular story point was foreshadowed for half a decade at least.
From what I know there’s a few more Easter eggs/ reference in lightfall that I found. One of the big ones I remember was the intro when leaving the cabal ship the path you take is a lot like halo ones when crawling through the vents fighting the elites. Then near the end one of the songs that play is super similar to the theme from one of halo 2 tanks level. ^^
I love the crushed cabal and Esports reference very hilarious and payback for all cabal pods crushing Guardians now we can do it only in one Mission though which is sad I wish we had more but it still Payback

So, would the final shape be a square? Kind of weird how the shapes are the same as the circle for overload, triangle for barrier, and square for unstoppable?? Just speculation, but awfully coincidental.
In Scourge of the Past the other important shape was a cube. Similarly we have squares for unstoppable and various other mechanics. Rasputin is sometimes a square on tip as a diamond. I was speculating Rasputin would eventually ascend into some type of godhood and help usher in the final shape. That might be gone now (but we have time travel and resurrection, so 🤷♂️), but I still think the cube has something to do with the final shape or ascending beyond the concepts of light and dark.
The final shape is the destiny logo. A circle and triangle merged.
Nah, they're gonna add a line in the middle and it'll be a deathly hallows HP reference all along
Baby Amanda turns up next to Zavala in the Zavala origin trailer, pre D1 release, being amazed by drop ships flying over, just like in her story telling to Mithrax last week.
I wondered if the cats were some kind of offering point like we had in Dreaming City, and with Shadowkeep. Guess this is isn't the case as I haven't seen any type of offering in the game.
There is at least a 3rd cat in Neomuna, in Esi Terminal in the corridor you take to get to Irkalla Complex; it's up on the planter-like ledge on the left side. I'm also wondering how you got the dialog with Sam for Thrilladrome, since I haven't heard that myself doing that Lost Sector!
The whole arcade lost sector is like a big Tron reference, Finn access the grid in his arcade
also saying that the Cutscene is the destiny 1 original fireteam is a reach imo, since the destiny 1 original fireteam is supposed to represent us and those armor are just default common armor.
Agreed, huge stretch in my opinion. Also, was it just me or it was only one of them? Not the theee of them but just the titan. Weird Easter egg, huge stretch, why have it as the cover?

There's a pyramid inside the Traveler Mask that you can only see when using the mirror image emote.
Now those damn cabal know how it feels to get crushed by a drop pod!
I normally main a Nezerac voidlock and I was wondering why I was sometimes hearing him and sometimes hearing just whispers. Cool detail!
They also have a "Sid". Same job too. Like all the final fantasy games. They gave me a good laugh.

my buddy and i speculated that there was a "light" pyramid inside the travler and the shower was just an outer shell... crazy that something actually came of it
The triangle in the circle has always been their plan I think. It even shows up in logos for festival of the lost
I did the arcade lost sector the other day and I loved the esports reference
I thought the cat was a call back to the small gift smells faintly of mint mission on the dreaming city
I dont see anyone talk about it, but when i played the campaign again with my warlock and saw the Calus cutscenes, i started to wonder if we will visit his throne room(it feel like raid boss kinda room because of his collection of artifacts).
the cat in neomuna reminds me of the cat in the tower, at the upper left wing.

After you get the data packets for the Deterministic Chaos exotic, you go to the radiosonde to meet with Nimbus and Osiris... if you activate the panel you used previously during the campaign to turn on the reactor, turn around and look up on the wall. A sequence of shapes made out of lines of light appear on the wall... not sure what it's for yet (just found it today).
That's apparently a clock(?).
It's for an action figure.
No idea how the hell to do it, aside shooting shapes, but someone else I was running with basically blasted through it. but didn't explain what or the how of it.

The triangle symbols on the Tower are just a semiotic icon that indicates a direction. Like an arrow to show you the way you want to go.

I think the holographic cats are the same thing as the holographic plants. Only decoration, design, ambience.
@@regisclaude could be. First time I saw one I was like "oh let it be a hidden quest somewhere". So I tried to interact with the cats and follow and well anything that would make sense but I ended up disappointed lol
The exotic speeder from xurs eternity thing is the ghost from halo, the shader he sells completes the purple look.

if you look at one of the Festival of Lost emblems you can see a triangle inside a circle aswell
also not sure if this was intended… on the same Festival of Lost emblem if you rotate the left image clockwise then it resembles Egyptian arkenaten and the worship of the aten

at 11:44 did anyone notice how the pyramid came out of the fire side and the circle came out of the Ice side. Assuming fire is Solar and ice is stasis that implies that there is light in darkness and darkness in light.
Also fire is more aggressive and so is the darkness being the main ones on attack while ice is more defensive which is how the traveler is acting
Do we know why Nezarac kept his memories after the Traveler revived him?
i do think cuz it was not the traveler intensions to revive him plus during the raid he talked about Savathûn betrayal n stuff
He wasn't revived with a ghost, he wasn't chosen. He was accidentally woken up by the terraforming power

I don't but it seems that a lot of things in Neomuna it's just recycled assets like monitors, statues, animations, sounds (where should be new) and so on. Like, the cat jumping its just a recycled animation. Walls, doors and other things in Neomuna it's just like the ones in Europa, which are the same in the Seraph Station. After all those years of thriving, Neomuna should look like a lil bit different even if it was colonized by "us".
yeah they look only a few hundred years ahead of the golden age. Kind of weird if they were unaffected by the collapse that happened over 2,000 years ago.

Honestly I don't agree. I do not believe that the guardian ranks should be accessible at all skill levels. I think trying to do so is what has ruined the game. Every game needs achievements and rewards that only the very best of players can achieve. Otherwise what's the point of learning and mastering builds and weapon combos/interactions. Gaming has been utterly ruined by the participation mentality.

Did you know in one of the buildings on neomuna there are actually empty trash cans? This is a reference to the fact this dlc is trash.
